$49.99 Sewer Service

I was really nervous calling $ 49.99 because all the reviewers have said, «Don’t call them!» Since my brother had used them twice, without a problem and the price was right, I called them. A woman answered my call and took down my info. She said, «It will be about 2 – 3 hours before we can get to you.» We’ll call you when he is ready to come. I requested Jeffrey because a reviewer recommended him. Less than 2 hours later a male dispatcher called and said the serviceman was on the way and he should be here in 20 minutes. I was told Jeffrey was not available.
When Anthony arrived, he went to check out my problem. He explained that he would need to cut off my cover because it was so old. He gave me all the info & prices before he started to work. I felt the clog was within the house and doing that drain was $ 49.99. However, since I have never done anything to the drains in 45 years, he recommended that I also clear the drain out to the street. He explained that it would cost another $ 49.99. I consented to it, before he started the work. Anthony was professional, efficient and clean. He had to work at getting the old cap off but once he got it off, he was able to clear my clog. He told me about the 30 day guarantee and I received a detailed description of work & receipt. I had a $ 5 coupon and he deducted that.
I will call $ 49.99 again, if I have a sewer problem again. Anthony did a great job.

if i could put half a star i would! this is a crocked company! they came to unclog a drain for «49.99» and they charged me 100.00 $$$$$ he said he needed to use my hose thats why the extra 50! he used my house my water just to soften then the dirt and said it was extra work! consumer beware you will be charged more then 50 for a drain. when i called the company i transfered to a suoervisor and all he said was he could make a note not to send him next time but the truth is he used the hose!

Boss told me to call up this place to get some pipes snaked.
Man who answered the phone kept yakking about parking and how if his guy finds plumbing then they will do the job for us. Told him there may be parking out front but I don’t know. I said «no offense parking is not my problem» and he replied back with «his problem is our problem.»
Before hanging up I asked him, «so do you want my business or what?» He repeated the same thing, «If there happens to be parking then they will take the job.»
Screw that, I ain’t wasting my time waiting for a maybe service.

I called them in January. It was a different guy that they sent. This guy only spent 5−10minutes and used a small snake head. I asked him why he only spent such a short amount of time and that the last guy spend an hour. He gave me an attitude saying how who has time to spend an hour doing this.
A few days later, a lady from the company called to ask for feedback, I complained about it and she said that we could call them in one month if it wasn’t good. Well, guess what? 2 months later we need to clean it out again. This company really depends on who sends them and a 1-​month guarantee is really not much. I really wish I remember the guy who they sent me first. But from now on, I wouldn’t recommend them.
We are buying a new snake head and doing it ourselves.

Obviously the price is stated at 49.99 to get you to schedule service.
Honestly this company is New York ghetto. The dispatchers are all clueless as to what repairs need to be done. I was quoted 49.99 for a single pipe drain clearing.
First day, I call and am told that I’m the next job the tech is on his way (at 12:15pm). No one ever shows up. The next day I call back and they claim someone called me at 3:57pm (never happened).
He gets there on the third day, looks at my drain filled with dirt (as I explained on the phone when originally quoted) and tells me it’s $ 200. I tell him that’s a rip-​off and call the office. They immediately jump down to $ 150 plus tax. I tell them it’s not right to give such a different price when they knew what the issue was as it’s happened before.
An irritated Trinidadian supervisor gets on the phone acting like an ass hat and say’s «Fine, get someone else to clear the dirt and we’ll come back and snake it for 49.99» I tell him I don’t want to call someone else I just want them to come a bit closer to the ORIGINAL FRIGGIN PRICE THEY GAVE ME. He just repeats, have someone clear the dirt…
He hangs up. I call back and the girl who answers says, someone will be out in 2 – 3 hours if you need him…

DONT CALL OR USE THEM****they are thieve. I called because I had a clog in my basement bathroom. They sent an unprofessional rude thief to my house who wanted to pocket the cash we paid. The worst part was when he did snake my pipes he damaged our main sewer line and basically the company is telling us it was already damaged. Now we have a leak in the sewer pipe which is located in my daughters room. This repair is now going to cost us thousands. So long story short use a reputable plumber not these guys. Everyone but the receptionist is rude.

This vendor was completely dishonest do not use them!!! I had a drain clogged in the backyard. I called on 03÷26÷16. They were a no show the first time and a plumber came on Friday 04÷01÷16. My wife met him and and the plumber told her that he had to clear our sewer first from our basement. The serviceman charged her $ 100 to clear the sewer in the basement.
The thing is — WE DON’T HAVE A SEWER IN THE BASEMENT. AS CONFIRMED BY THEIR HONEST SUPERVISOR WHO RETURNED TO THE HOUSE for a second time. The supervisor told us that the first guy CHARGED US $ 100 TO TURN ON THE SNAKE IN THE BASEMENT TO MAKE A NOISE — HE ESSENTIALLY ROBBED US IN OUR OWN HOME.
The supervisor and I spoke to the manager on speaker phone and the supervisor told the manager exactly exactly what happened. THE MANAGER TOLD BOTH OF US THAT WE WERE TO BE CHARGED ANYWAY. He ordered the supervisor to charge us or to not actually clear the drain. It had been one week with a clog so I paid it just to get the clog taken care of. THE MANAGER IS DIFFICULT AND ARGUMENTATIVE AND DISHONEST.
I have already reported them to the Better Business Bureau, NOTE: THEY HAVE AN F RATING. Other plumbers have similar names e.g. $ 49.XX and are more reputable I called $ 49.99 on error because of their similar sounding name.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT USING THEM

The 49.99 price which is part of their ad is misleading. My ordinary bathroom pedestal sink cost 137 dollars. WHY? Because on day 1, a guy came and couldn’t get his snake into the pipe behind the stem of the pedestal sink. «We need to send someone else with better tools, a supervisor.» But then he charged me a $ 29 service fee.” And when the heavy lifter came the next day — the BIG GUNS «supervisor» — he charged an additional $ 100 dollars because he had to go to the basement to snake the line from below. So this job cost 137 dollars. There are times when you have to decide whether you are going to act on your completely righteous indignation or just move on. I complained and they told me basically «too bad, that’s the price.» SOOO… Caveat Emptor. Don’t go here. BTW, they give you a 3 hour window. And since there was two visits, that was 6 hours of my life and 137 dollars.

Wish I could give them 0 if u like waiting for someone to come fix your sewer problems DON’T call these guys waited 2 days 3as told your next for service still waiting finally called someone else these guys should be reported to better business maybe I will!

Greatest surprise ever. Picture this: 9:45 pm Saturday night, sewer is coming up, all the local guys want $ 300 to $ 400 just to come out. Skeptical me calls these guys, I have no other choice. Lady on the phone says up to 2 hour wait. They come within hour. nice professional non judgemental. charges me $ 110.88, he had to both sides. I just went from horor show to great day in the span of one hour.

I was a doubter, called with low expectations.
Aside from timeframe a bit later than promised, Smitty showed up and was upfront and straightforward. I explained that I had me reservations after reading numerous negative reviews online. He explained what needed to be done, gave me the upfront pricing as indicated by the website and advertisements and once I gave him the go ahead, got right to it, snaked our main line sewer within minutes and resolved the clogged line. I was so impressed I decided to have him snake the line to the street as well for another $ 49, preemptively.
In summation, if you know what service you need and go in with low expectations, you might be pleasantly surprised.
PS. Roto Rooter had come out earlier for their «free estimate» which, for the same work, was $ 415.00! I showed them the door very quickly.

Do not call this company. They curse at the home owners that hire them! Very unprofessional thugs that walk in to your home who are probably unlicensed! They quote you a price than give you another when they’re done! RIP-​OFF & SCAMMERS!!!

DO NOT CALL THEM!!! They gave us a window time of 12 – 4. They show up at 6 pm after I called a couple of times. Anthony comes in no apology with a complete attitude like it’s not his problem that I waited 6 hours. So unprofessional. He looks at the clogged drain and tells my Husband $ 250 to crack open the covers and snake it. Hmmmm… what happened to the $ 49.99? What a complete rip off, scam and disgusting unprofessional company! I’m surprised this company is still in business. They deserve 0 stars.

Called them at 9AM and was promised a plumber by noon. He did not arrive till after 4 and left my bathroom a mess and pipes left apart saying he needs a supervisor who will be there at 5PM and would have to change me an additional $ 25. 5:30 comes around and I’m told they can’t get there for another 3 hours! They told me that I was wrong if I wanted I could reschedule for another day. Would never use this fraud of a company again.

I called in the morning around 11. They said technician would come between 5 – 8. Jeff showed up at 630. He Examined the situation and we decided on a slightly irregular course of action which worked perfectly. Jeff spent almost an hour making sure it was correct. Based on some previous reviews I was expecting some kind of up charge for his extra time and thoroughness. Nope, $ 56 with tax as advertised.
I would definitely use them again. You should ask for Jeff. They are positively number 1 in the number 2 business!

I called to have a bathroom sink cleaned for «$ 49.99» it turned into $ 2,600.00 to change a 12 inch pipe inside the wall. These incompetent clowns did not even seal the pcv pipes correctly. Found out when the water leaked down into the floor below. Called the office, spoke with Sam a «manager» needless to say he has been evading my calls. At the end the company does not want to take liability for the work an authorized clown did. These people took advantage of a senior citizen, they went for the most they can steal $ 2,600.00.
I would NEVER recommend these clowns, they are incompetent unskilled and the company does not stand behind the people the company sends out. The inexpensive turned out to be more expensive than getting a real plumber… DON’T GET SCAMMED BY THESE PEOPLE RUN FAST THE OTHER WAY plenty of legitimate plumbers that will do the work correctly at a reasonable price.
Don’t try calling the managers SAM or his side kick they are just as incompetent, irresponsible and unprofessional.

$ 50 seems like a good deal even just to come by, troubleshoot, and give an estimate. Even if they charge a little more to get the job done, they still seem like a good value. Despite the poor reviews, this is why I called them.
However, first impressions are very telling. My phone call with them set off all kinds of alarms. The guy who answered the phone had a hard to understand accent. He mumbled something at the start of the call that I can only assume was the company name. When I asked if I had reached $ 49.99 Sewer Service (which is the first thing I had said up to this point), he shouted a very irritated ‘Yes’. I then told him I had a clogged sink in Manhattan, and he just as irritatingly responded that they don’t work in Manhattan and then he immediately hung up the phone.
I would not have high expectations of quality or professionalism from these folks.

3 hour window? No. They will get there whenever the hell they feel like getting there. I called at 8 am with a sewer problem. This has happened in the past, and I always had someone snake the main line, they tell me it’s the abundance of roots in my area, suggest that I dig up my yard, I thank them, tip them, and send them on their way with my snaked pipes draining properly. That’s what I’ve experienced in the past. I should have looked for THOSE guys.
The $ 49.99 job they advertise turned into a $ 75 job (tax, fuel, etc) and then jumped to $ 110 when I opted to clean it «both ways». I still don’t know what that exactly means, but my logic told me if I’m cleaning my pipes one way, I should clean it the other way, as well, right?
An hour into the job, the plumber’s equipment gets stuck and he has to call in a supervisor to help him out. Half an hour later, two more men show to help get his snake out. They bring me down to show me his «ruined» snake, and they tell me that now the job is $ 275. Seriously? Dude breaks his own equipment on my job, and I’m responsible for that?
Now thoroughly annoyed and exasperated with this ridiculous job, I agree to pay it as long as they finish up and leave. My basement reeks and I really just want to douse the entire floor in bleach to clean up.
Now the supervisor is telling me I should get a camera snaked in there to see what the problem is, and that would cost another $ 275. No, thanks. The original plumber leaves, and the two «supervisors» are left to finish the job.
Long story short, they didn’t fix the problem. And then they tell me I should agree to the CO2 gas treatment to blast my pipes clean. But, that costs $ 800 AND for some reason, they took a credit card for my original job but could not for the $ 800. They only took cash for that. Yeah. Sorry, buddy, no thanks.
I explained that I don’t have that kind of money laying around, and they tell me they’ll wait while I head to the bank. I explain that this isn’t even my house! I’m housesitting for my parents, for God’s sake! I politely decline, and explain that I will convey the message to my parents when they get back. This is their house, and a costly job like that should fall on their shoulders, not mine.
Then, it turns into Let’s Make a Deal. How much can I afford? Maybe they can talk to the main office about it. No.
They leave. 15 minutes later, they ring my bell to tell me their office agreed to take my credit card for the $ 800. This time, I’m fed up. My house is a mess, the problem wasn’t fixed, I’m $ 275 in the hole for a job that wasn’t executed to completion, and now they want to strong arm me into paying $ 800 more.
No, thanks. Next time, I’m going to look for ANY other plumber except these guys. While the actual plumbers were not rude, I didn’t appreciate the jump in prices and then the strong-​arming into getting a service that costs an arm and a leg when they couldn’t even finish a simple task to begin with. I know the sewer problems in the neighborhood is not an easy fix, but in the past other professionals gave me options with price points in those options. I didn’t get charged for anything I didn’t agree to.
$ 49.99 is a joke. They are not professional in the time frame they give or the prices they quote. On top of that, they didn’t fix the problem and left a huge mess. My advice: Avoid like the plague and keep looking for another plumber!

The dude who came was über blue collar (as you’d expect from a $ 49.99 plumbing company), but a low maintenance (see what I did there?! ;-) guy who was decently professional, and quick to resolve the issue. For a simple toilet clog, I was rather put off by the amount and locations of «spray» I had to clean up in my bathroom after he left. But, again, for $ 49.99, you’re not expecting attention to cleanliness/​clean up.
My issue is the company itself.
Pro that they do late-​night service at the same price as working hour visits. But they gave me and my Super a 7−10pm window on Monday night. We both sat waiting until 10:30pm with no call from the plumber or dispatch to update us. A while after I told my Super I was going to bed, she received a call that the job before went way long and the plumber was finally on his way, at least an hour past the given window, on a work night.

We rescheduled for the same time slot on Wednesday. Since they were quite unprofessional in not even contacting us about the delay on Monday, we figured they’d prioritize our call. My Super called at 7:30 to get an ETA, and was reamed out by their dispatch for calling within the arrival window, as if we were unreasonable to think we’d get any «special treatment», regardless of what happened on Monday.
On top of this, when their guy finally arrived, he hadn’t been told what the issue was. So the guy had to walk up the four flights, be told, go back down, get the tools, and hike back up. They also hadn’t conveyed that our management company already had a credit card on file. So we wasted more time in billing disputes before the dude could even start to work.
Not a cool way to treat your employees.
You get what you pay for. But any business who can’t think, «hmmm…dude has been good enough to deal with no working toilet for an extra two days to keep their business with us… let’s make an extra effort» ain’t my kind of business.
