History

Established in 1998.

In 1998 Dr. John Bowen opened his optometry practice in a strip shopping center on the south edge of the town of Flower Mound. In 1999 his wife Dr. Lisa Bowen joined him there. Raising two boys they dedicated themselves to their growing practice and immersed themselves in community. Active in civic affairs, they attend church locally and volunteer their time at health fairs and other community activities.

In 2008 they moved their practice to its current location at 2570 Northshore Blvd, #200, in Flower Mound Tx. 75 028

Business Owner

Dr. Bowen is from Sulphur Springs, Texas. He received his B.S. degree from the University of Houston and his doctorate from the University of Houston College of Optometry. He completed an internship at the Orlando Eye Foundation under the supervision of Bascam-​Palmer trained Dr. Brian Den Beste where great emphasis was placed on eye diseases and pre– and post-​op care of refractive surgery patients. He is also certified as an Optometric Glauscoma Specialist by the Texas Board of Optometry. Dr. Bowen enjoys fitting contact lenses (including complex fits), treating eye diseases, training patients with binocular vision disorders, and working with visually impaired patients (low vision).
