My story with AWD Tuning goes like this. I brought a old stock Subaru forrester in for a head gasket replacement. This was a $ 2300 job. I had only owned this car for a short time and it had really high miles on it. Keith informed me that the engine in it was not the original engine. So I really don’t know how many miles, or what condition, the engine was in. None the less they did the job and sent me on my way. Eleven months later, the timing belt broke, and left my son stranded on the highway. Being a Sunday, I had the car towed in to my usual shop, and they diagnosed the problem, and said the head needed to be pulled again. I had the car towed back to AWD to have them look at it. Keith checked it out, and said the timing belt was installed improperly by a technician that was no longer working for them. Even though the shop only has a 3 month warranty, and I was 8 months past that, they went ahead and fixed the car, and made it right. This saved me over 2 grand for having to repeat the same work over again. Its not often that you find a shop willing to stand by their reputation and do what is right even if its not under warranty. Its to easy to find a out, and create a reason not to do a job. Keith and the shop had the integrity to own the problem and to do the right think and fix it. I would and have recommended them to friends.

I heard about these guys from co workers and seeing other cars they have done.
They gave me the best quote by far and gave me no b. s answers to my issues.
I got major gains in my stage 2 and the shifter is a dream, sway bars were the cherry on top.
The owner spent forever tuning my car to get every notch of power and smoothness imaginable.
My car is WAY better than I could have imagined, these guys should tune every car that Subaru send out to dealerships.
Very nice guys, answered all of my dumb questions and we’re glad to. These guys love Subaru’s so I will always come here.

I had AWDTuning replace the damaged engine in my car, and I am very happy with the result. This is the first time I’ve done business with them. It was a very large job, so I was a little nervous. But they handled it perfectly and very professionally also. I received written quotes for all work done as well as pictures when I requested them. I’m very happy with the quality of work I received, I would use them again without question since they are experts in their field of work.

Keith, Mary, and Frankie were the most hospitable, professional, and friendly group of folks I have ever had the pleasure doing business with. Answered all of my silly questions, gave me an awesome tour of their engine building facility, and really made me feel at home.
I had a challenging tuning project for Keith, and they took excellent care of me and my STI. They did not try to up-​sell me on anything that wasn’t truly needed, and tailored a plan that suited my needs and my budget. Even after hours at 10pm, when my car had a fluke issue, they were talking to me and helping me through it.
I cannot say enough about these folks, and I truly am a customer for the life of my car.

Where to start? What a horrible experience at AWDTuning. I took my built 2004 sti there for a tune. The shop was overwhelmed and didn’t get to attempt to start my tune until sundown. AWDTuning then informed me they heard «piston slap» and weren’t comfortable tuning the car. So what do I do? Ask them to build a completely new motor and tune it. Months later they finally finish the build (without a road tune because Keith’s back hurt.) Car would barely run with A/​C on. It was like it was never driven off of the dyno. Zero driveability. Whatever, I take it home because they have had my car for months. Motor lasts not even a couple thousand miles and blows a head gasket. I know I don’t trust the build or tune so we start over. Come to find out the whole motor was built with the incorrect size main bearings. The install was half-​baked at best. Loose clamps and bolts everywhere. They plumbed my air oil separator completely wrong which was pressurizing my crank case with full boost. Heck, they even wrapped wires they were trying to shield from heat with highly conductive metal conduit. My friend who put me on AWDTuning also got a tune. They tuned his car with the fuel pressure regulator unplugged! They admitted they saw the line and just capped it! Horrible experience. Nothing worse than a tuning shop that has no mechanical knowledge.

Keith is the man, that should be stated first.
I have basically a stock Subaru, they treat me like I am spending 10’s of thousands of dollars when in reality, I am spending a few bucks for repairs.
I don’t think their prices are rough, this is my second visit there.
They’re patient and I think my money is being well spent on service.
If you have a fancy Subaru, or just a «normal» one like me, do your self a favor and take your car here!
They don’t appear to take days off, this also helps us 9 – 5 guys/​gals make it in on the weekends.

The best of the best and only getting better… I’ve only had a chance to have some suspension work and a 60k maintenance done by the crew but watching them grow and continue to not only push out great products from their little corner of the Subaru community but also to pick up and correct the mistakes of other shops is simply amazing! I highly recommend them for their professionalism and knowledge on any work from tuning, to maintenance, or an all out hi HP build!!!

I have been a long time AWDTuning customer and since day one 4 years ago they have been my second family. Keith did work on my first Subaru and it ran great. Now I actually own his wrx that started the whole gig! The work AWDTuning does is phenomenal. Every bit of performance work on my car has been done by them, and the motor has seen now 3 turbos and has never seen lower than 280awhp, then 351, and now 335. Its daily driven, daily beaten on, has 31,000 miles and runs as great as the day I got it. Ive NEVER had any issue with anything the team there has done. They are the only place I will let touch my car, and would recommend them to anyone looking to enhance their daily ride, or just keep it up to shape!

Checked this business out, called them, called several times in a day, never got thru, finally talked to them the next day, the fellow on the phone didnt seem to have his facts in line when shooting from the hip. His commentary did not inspire confidence LOL. I’d say shop around when it comes to this place. Too many investors over the years too… just doesnt pass the sniff… buyer beware.

Wow, where do I begin!
I have been coming to AWDtuning for almost 4 years, since the first month I had my car. From day one they greeted me like family and treated me like a friend, not just another customer. It didn’t matter if I was just coming for a bushing replacement or a full motor overhaul, I received the same thorough attention and care.
Prior to modifying my car with them, I came here for all of my scheduled (and unfortunately unscheduled) factory maintenance. Extremely fast service, the mechanics are very knowledgeable and are even willing to explain what was done and things that you should look into replacing (should the need arise). The best part, zero pressure to buy «this or that»! They will explain kindly what they see, show it to you if you’d like, and give you a thorough explanation as to what they recommend and why.
Let’s be honest though, you come to them for performance reasons a good 90% of the time. Keith is unbelievably amazing at getting an ECU tune right and is an encyclopedia for all things related to performance modification. Seriously, I don’t know how he knows so much. I have yet to ask a question he can’t answer. Not only will your car perform to its max with his tune, but it will do so reliably as can be! I have had 4 tunes and each one was superb! This recent e85 tune blew my mind at how smooth the car ran and the power animal it became. Will, the engine builder, is a master at his trade. Unbelievably smart and a perfectionist at putting motors together, I have zero hesitation having him build my motor. The mechanics/​techs (Collin and Victor) are workhorses. They get the job done ASAP and get your car running again in no time. Very knowledgeable at a variety of makes and models as well. I’m always amazed at how fast and thorough they work. They love what they do and I’m thrilled that they help my car get back to tip-​top shape (even after I am the one who screwed it up in the first place).
Now in the office you’ll be greeted by the lovely Mary and Crystal. Mary is a genius at orchestrating everything going on at the shop, I don’t think she sleeps since she is always busy! I couldn’t imagine setting up the events she does and they are always a blast! Crystal is the bomb. You need a tune scheduled or a repair done? You’ll reach her when you call the shop and she will get you on the schedule faster than you can finish the sentence! She is also unbelievably helpful when it comes to insurance claims. My brothers Legacy needed an insurance matter taken care of and she gave 110% effort on ensuring my family and the insurance company were both on the same page and that things were being taken care of as soon as possible.
So in short:
A+ customer service from everyone who works here
A+ for a friendly, feel like home atmosphere
A+ repairs/​modifications. These guys and ladies put in so many late nights to ensure the job gets done, they really should win an award
A+ for cost. Extremely reasonable rates, blows the competition and dealers out of the water
My car will never see another shop and I am beyond grateful for all of the hard work they have put in to not only my car but every single one of their customer’s cars. They have a heart and passion for being in the automotive business and it reflects on you, their friend.

Well let me think of what I can write about this business. There are basically one of 2 «go-​to» places in DFW for Subaru and Evo performance and maintenance. I wont mention the competitor, but I will say that AWD is the choice for performance enthusiasts in the metroplex.
Keith the owner is a expert for tunes, and sends them all around the world to owners.
I like that the customer waiting area includes an xbox, leather couches and is fully carpeted. Its kind of like staying at your own house!
AWD hosts 2 dyno days a year that you can get a HP number on your car for $ 40. Thats a good deal for 3 pulls, plus they throw in lunch for free.
I have only had to use them a few times, but I would say that Keith and Mary are honest, ethical and professional for what they do. The location is a little difficult to find, and parking is a pain, but it’s worth it.
