Quick & considerate customer service! Great tasting habchi dinner! I was allergic to the mushroom appetizer soup but my waiteress was quick to replace it with a miso soup. Also she was intelligent by informing our chef to cook a separate portion of vegetables for me without mushrooms before the show began. The ginger salad was crisp & fresh with a great dressing! My filet mignon was not cooked medium rare like I asked but it was tender. We wanted bit more entertainment and dialogue from our chef but overall the experience here was one of a kind! Next time I’ll come in & try their regular menu dishes & sushi! Glad to add this restaurant to my favorite things to-do in Flower Mound list!

We’ve lived in Flower Mound 17 years and this is our first visit. It was great. Food is outstanding and the service top notch. We will be back.

If I were a prisoner on death row, this would be my last meal. The only negative about this place is all other food taste bland and flavorless after eating here.

This is a nice little place that I probably wouldn’t have stopped in if I was driving by, but I’m glad that I did. The sushi was delicious, fresh and more than just the boring california roll. Service was prompt and friendly. I would happily return.

My family and I love coming here. We love the Sushi. They don’t put a lot of sauces on the rolls which is nice.

Definitely liked the place, but I’m a dallas sushi snob. Just not what I’m used to. Will be back as its my fav so far in the area. My daughter was a little crabby too so that may not have helped much as I inhaled my food and didn’t get to finish my glass of wine! They were very sweet to her though!

What a disappointment. 1. The place is a dump. Looks ok from outside but The décor is a joke, its very cramped and not very clean. 2. Food was very average. They don’t offer the spicy mustard most hibachis do. The fried rice wasn’t the best, portions were about right i guess. Service is a minimal part considering your cook is at your table. Very noisy and was seated right in front of the kitchen door. Kitchen didn’t look too clean. 3. Sushi was poor. Small rolls and pieced and a bit pricey

Hubs & I needed some good sushi/bento-box-grub closeby(Flower Mound vicinity). I’m stoked we found this little gem in our corner of suburbia. Very calm, zen atmosphere and the servers are awesome. The food is priced perfectly(great lunch deals) and we haven’t ordered anything yet that we didn’t enjoy. You’ll get a *ton* of good food with the bento boxes and the sushi is amazing. Check it out!

Great Teppan in a local place in family community. Sake served in chilled carafe and beers served in very chilled glasses Steak on grill was great(filet). Sushi ok, but visiting from So Cal, I am exposed to some fantastic sushi. Food really a 4 in quality but rating 5 for nice atmosphere and the delivery of a great meal in this family locale. A pleasant surprise and my family really enjoyed this place

Very fresh sushi and beautifully presented in a clean, comfortable and stylish dining room. We ate on the sushi-bar side of the restaurant, but from what I could hear, people were having a great time on the teppenyaki side.(If you’re not sure what teppenyaki is, it’s what Benihana specializes in: eating around a giant grill as the cook works in front of you.) All of the staff were friendly and attentive. My only complaints are for what’s not on the menu. I’d love to see a proper sunomono salad with the traditional sauce. The closest dish on the menu is the cucumber crab meat salad. It was very nice but just not the same thing, and sunomono salad is pretty standard fare. I’d also love to see some panko chicken. That’s hardly a standard dish at any Japanese restaurant, but the times I’ve had it, it ruined me for regular friend chicken for months after. I just have a hunch it would be a huge hit for them. Also, it would be great if they had the 21 oz. size of Sapporo.

I use to be a loyal & faithful consumer at this restaurant but after dining in for father’s day lunch recently, I will never patronize this place again. Upon entering the restaurant, my husband, myself and 2 daughters waited a few minutes to be greeted as there was no one was there to host. After being seated, a waitress approached our table and handed us menus, which I didn’t even open because I knew what we wanted(same as we always order). I ordered our food immediately and then went to the restroom. After our food was delivered, we ate and all seemed well until we received the bill and noticed the prices were $ 9 higher for the same entrées we always order. I summoned the manager and asked why were we charged more money for the same entrée we always order during sunday lunch hours and she told me that since it was father’s day they were only serving dinner all day(which meant a higher priced menu). I explained to her that there was no difference between the amount of food received that day and any other when I was served lunch on a sunday or weekday. The manager also told me that there was a sign that had been up for 2 weeks informing people that they would only serve dinner all day on father’s day. I explained to her that I never saw the sign and that this was definitely something that the waitress should’ve informed us of at the time orders were taken. She insisted that since the waitress gave us dinner menus that we should’ve known. I told her I never looked at nor opened the menu because, as she also knew, I dine there weekly and always ordered the same things. I expressed my extreme dissatisfaction with the service received and the decline to disclose such an important detail for the menu pricing for that day and further how unfair I thought It was that they hike the prices up just because it was father’s day and that they served the same amount of food. I even showed the manager pics of my most recent lunch from their restaurant just 2 weeks prior and pics of the meal which I had just consumed and there was no difference in amount, she simply rebutted that they go by weight. I was floored as she did not correct the pricing but only took 10 $ off as it she was doing me a favor. Following the visit I submitted a complaint to the local Better Business Bureau citing deceptive business practice and the management took that opportunity to make personal remarks about me as a customer in their response. They stated that I have been notorious for complaining on occasion and that they had a sign up informing people of the price difference for fathers day. I suddenly regretted ever patronizing them in the first place when I read these personal insults and I wanted all others to be aware. Regarding the sign that they claimed was posted to inform customers, it was an 8×10 white print out with font no bigger than size 26, which is difficult to see in passing upon entering from outside and it was not in plain view, rather behind the hostess stand over to the right of the entry doors, taped on brown shutter separators which made even more of a shadow in the already dim restaurant so needless to say, they did not intend for people to take notice of this small notification about their deceptive price increase. This business is clearly only existing to make profits and not to please customers, in fact they talk about regular customers behind their backs but gladly accept their green dinero. Upon leaving the restaurant on Father’s day, another father in the book adjoined to ours told me that he agreed with my complaints that they did not know about the price difference that day either. Very sad situation and service.

The service here was very friendly and quick but the food and the décor missed the mark. The menus need to be replaced and look very dirty or thrown together. I ordered the Steamed Potstickers and they did not taste very good at all — immediately back to the kitchen. The Chicken Fried Rice — very good! Moist chicken and flavorful rice. Salmon Sushi Pieces — very good :) Thick slice of salmon to make it worth the $ 5.00 charge. I cannot remember the roll name that I ordered but it didn’t wow me. I may return here someday if I am back in this area but it definitely is not on my favorites list.

I really wanted to love this place but I have been here several times and the quality of the food is never consistent. Last week, I came here for dinner and ordered the steak and lobster dinner combo which is priced at $ 35.00. When my meal came I received a few pieces of under cooked steak and an extremely salty lobster tail. Not only was the taste of the lobster bad but it even looked as though it was past its prime. After trying to take down a few bites I decided to flag down the waiter(this took about ten minutes), and we swapped the lobster out for shrimp. I will note that the shrimp was excellent and I thought it was fair they only charged me for the shrimp versus the lobster. I will say Asahi is a great place to take your family as the staff is very warm and accommodating. However, for the price of the food I do not think it is a fair bargain.

Great Sushi and Sashimi in Flower Mound. I started with the Miso Soup for lunch. This is the only very small negative. It tasted like water with small bits of tofu. Very light on the Dashi and the miso, which made the broth very bland. Also had a small lunch salad with Japanese salad dressing, which was very good. The super white tuna sashimi was wonderful. The fish was very fresh and just melts in your mouth. California roll tasted like they made it with sweet rice. Kind of a small amount of crab meat in the California roll. I was wishing for a bit more. A bit on the pricey side. Will definitely be back!

Asahi is a great place to go with family, or you and your spouse alone. We have celebrated birthdays there, and they always take a pic for the birthday person, and add a dessert. Classy touch. My daughters have their pics still. With the exception of maybe one Hibachi chef that wasn’t exited to put on a show, all were exceptional, and season just right. Salad is wonderful, the filet and scallops are excellent, and fried rice is wonderful. The lady who owns the place is almost always there, and is a real sweetheart. She will always try to squeeze you in when it is busy, and quality doesn’t get compromised when it is. I highly recommend Asahi. Sushi is the best around. I am going there with family after they are done selling Girl Scout cookies!(It’s a surprise!)

The Sushi here is excellent! I have lived & travelled extensively and have a taste for fresh, well-presented sushi. This restaurant fits the bill. The sushi menu offers a number of options and I haven’t gotten anything bad yet. Their Sashimi & Nigiri is equally fresh and flavorful. The Yellowtail(Hamachi) and Eel(Unagi) are consistent favorites of mine as well as an assortment of rolls and fresh sashimi. The fish and seafood is top quality, and the vegetables, rice, etc. is fresh and well-prepared. The restaurant is always clean and the ambience is nice. The wait-staff is friendly and attentive but not overly so. This is my favorite sushi restaurant in Flower Mound.

Yumm! Would have never thought to find good quality sushi in Flower Mound, but I am impressed! I sat at the bar today and ordered Tiffany roll, house soup, and house salad. The soup was just okay, I could have done without it, but the salad was really nice. The dressing wasn’t a cream based sauce so I loved that. The tiffany roll is very similiar to other rolls I have had at other locations, but this place has some quality fish I can tell. The salmon sashimi was perfect, and the crab inside was chunky and did not taste imitiation at all. They also don’t shower this roll with sauces like I see at other places. Awesome lunch I had! One star was dropped just because of the soup, was a waste of money and tummy space!
