Since all I wanted was for my family to enjoy some delicious custard and didn’t feel like taking out a second Mortgage on the house for Ted Drews; this place has always delivered on great service and quality. I’ve been coming here for almost 25 years!

I gave them three chances on a chocolate malt. I don’t know if they are scared of chocolate or malt but it was neither. It had a greyish tint(obviously skimping on the chocolate sauce) and no taste of malt. Cheap on their end means me spending my money elsewhere.

Finally got to try Doozles frozen custard! We ordered small dipped vanilla cone and large twisted cone since we believe the best way to try a new frozen custard is to get their simplest original flavor. They are both really good except the chocolate dipped was little bit too oily. They also have low fat and hard ice cream options. Will definitely come back again

I went to Doozle’s to try a place CLOSER to my house, and it’s a wonderful little store. I had the soft serve,(«SANDYBEACH» CONCRETE) and I got my wife and kids the hard ice cream, we all enjoyed our refreshments. If your looking for a great family place, with friendly, fast, courteous service then«Doozle’s» is your place. ENJOY!

The other frozen custard! Florissant has its surprises. When hanging in the county, one might not have high hopes for good places for meals and treats. However, my old neck of the woods has some pretty good stops, and Doozles Frozen Cusard is one of them. I won’t lie. Doozles comes secondary to Fritz’s. It’s always been the natural order of things. Not that Doozles doesn’t do its thing well, but I’ve always preferred Fritz’s over Doozles. It’s an age-old Florissant conversation! One thing that separates Doozles from Fritz’s is the variety. You’re pretty well limited to frozen custard at its friendly rival. Doozles has custard and ice cream in both scoops and soft serve. The assortment of treats is endless! One of my favorite things to get there is the bubble gum ice cream. Yes, I am 32 and still eating bubble gum flavored ice cream. I love it! However, the hard ice creams range from regular vanilla all the way to moose tracks and orange sherbet. If I’m in the mood for regular ice cream, Doozles is my place. I’m still gonna favor Fritz’s on the frozen custard. However, the variety at Doozles is going to keep my coming back!

Great place to stop and get some frozen treats. I had a few different things from here so far, and all of them were good.

If you crave ice cream and its 30 degrees below zero you can still get it here if your there by 9pm. These guys have proved there is desire for ice cream year round in Florissant. This place takes on the attitude and personality of the owner. This guy is always smiling and man its a fun place to go. If your looking for drive up ice cream this is also the king of Florissant. Slide in, order, and I am home in another minute to eat my Penguin. Love this place and how they kept it looking like the old dairy that used to be in this same building 25 years ago.

I know that frozen custard is taken more seriously in st. louis than any other city I have lived in, but while this place is quite decent, it just does not hold up to the competition. If it were in another city, I would definitely consider spending the money for their wares, but with the offerings from Fritz’s down the street(which I personally consider the best I’ve ever had) I have a hard time recommending this place to anyone. If you are in the mood for great frozen custard go down the street to Fritz, or if ted drewes is closer give them a visit. Either way though and you are sure to get more for your money than here.

Any time I am anywhere near a Doozle’s a make a point of it to stop in and get a delicious frozen treat. I was skeptical at first, but after having tried it, I fully believe that if they put a location anywhere near Ted Drewe’s, they would give that St. Louis staple a run for their money. The last time I was there, I tried a chocolate and pretzel concrete, which was a special, since they don’t always carry pretzles, and it was just fantastic. I have also had the sundae with cashews and chocolate syrup, and would definitely try that one again as well. The custard they use is awfully good(so rich and creamy), and their sundae and concrete options, while arguably less elaborate that that certain, more established ice cream shop, are definitely still quite delicious. I also like that they are open year-round, and have a drive through, in case I don’t even feel like getting out of my car. The girls who work there are friendly and fast, and I have to admit, they are definite competitors for my ice cream loyalty here in St. Louis. If they weren’t so far away from my house, I might eat there so often that my waist line would suffer, so maybe it’s a good thing that it’s 20 miles from my house.

Doozle’s is my favorite frozen custard shop in North County. I love their concretes. Today, I tried their advertised special, the sugar cookie concrete. As expected, it was really sweet with cookie pieces and sprinkles, but it tasted amazing. The thing I love most about Doozle’s is that their light custard tastes great. There’s no reason to eat extra, unnecessary fat here.

I remember, as a child, when this place opened. The first time I tried it, it became my favorite custard in St. Louis. That has yet to change. Their sundaes are by far the best! They have several«signature» options, and I’ve never had one I don’t like. Each come with the option of custard or low-fat. And their scrumptious chocolate custard can be substituted on any sundae or concrete! I have had Ted Drewe’s many times, and it simply doesn’t compare. With their continued quality of product and friendly service, they are sure stay as a local staple… maybe even surpassing Ted Drewe’s, one day, as St. Louis’ première custard stand.

By far the best ice cream in Saint Louis. Their concretes are infinitely better than any other place I’ve tried. In my mind, Doozles makes Ted Drewes seem like a dump! They also have phenomenal sundaes and slushies. I am sure to go to this place every time I am in Florissant… definitely a must-try in the Saint Louis area!
