Fairly busy night. Sat at bar. Server brought incorrect steak, but I wad hungry. Ordered it medium rare. Steak was medium well. Waited not quite 5 minutes for server to return. New steak, no problem. After I finished my potato, and my friend finished eating, approximately 20 minutes, still haven’t received steak. After speaking to manager, and having my steak packed to go. He agreed this was unacceptable, and comped my meal. Steak was great for lunch next day. I might give it another try.

Came here on a very busy night. Server friendly. Ordered app of Gringo dip. Came out cold and rubbery. We didnt say anything. Daughter and husband ordered chicken fingers — rib platter. They both got the wrong order. When they ordered, my daughter ordered. She even pointed it out on the menu. My husband heard her order and remarked on the fact they were getting the same thing. Server read the order back correctly. When she brought out the food, my daughter said she was supposed to have chicken fingers. My husband said his were missing too. The server immediately starts to argue that they didn’t order that. Finally huffs off to get her manager. Per the menu, we were all supposed to get bread. That didn’t show up until I complained to the manager. Ordered fish, shrimp and chips platter. Shrimp greasy, cold and the breading just wiped off because it was sitting in puddle of oil. Was supposed to come with two sides. One never showed up and the fries were 12 fries that were cold. I’ve had this before and it was good but this was so nasty I sent it back. In the last decade, I’ve never sent something back. The manager offered to bring something else but at that point I was done. Also didn’t want to make my family wait on me because my entrée would have taken 20 minutes to show up. They did bring chicken fingers to my husband and daughter. The manager took my meal off the bill — I didn’t ask him to. He apologized again but then remarked that he didn’t think we were doing this on purpose? I’m not sure what that was supposed to mean. I expected them to bring the food that was ordered. Not sure how that’s a scam. I didn’t ask for him to take my entrée off the bill. I just asked him to take it away because it was gross to look at. He offered a free refill from the bar which I declined. I didn’t want another drink on an empty stomach. He offered free dessert –also declined. Not sure where my scam is. After the bill was paid, he gave me a certificate for a free entrée. I didn’t ask for that so not sure again how I scammed anything. I also gave the server a 20% tip. Not because she earned it. I won’t be back.

54th street b&g is a good option when you want an Applebee’s-like establishment but with better food, better drinks, and better prices. They have great deals on food and drinks, 2(yes 2) happy hours daily during the week, and big portions. The appetizers are all good. I’ve had the fried pickles, gringo dip, shrooms, waffle fries, and wings. Their burgers are also decent and the Rattlesnake pasta is a personal fave. The margaritas and long islands are large, cheap, strong, and delish! Seriously, as much as I’m not a big fan of chains, this one is pretty decent.

I’m sure there’s nothing wrong with socializing at work. I’m however perplexed that whenever I travel in this great country how I can see the same folk. Black or white, woman or man it matters not. You go in a establishment and they are yucking it up. It’s as if their occupation is talking rather than a preoccupation. Maybe because I draw nearer to 40 and don’t have as much patience is the reason I even give it air. We walked in and the employees were having a chat fest. We were greeted but the focus wasn’t much on us from there. We got to go menus because we’d just got to town and wanted to settle in. After making our choices we approached the bar to order. I must have a devious look about me because the bartender looked at me as if something was afoot. We placed our orders and she continued looking at me with her weird look. It was funny when my Wife passed me her card to pay. She carted me so to speak and wanted I.D. I’m being too sensitive I guess but I haven’t experienced that in a long time. She joked about it by saying we’d come a long way after looking at my Wife’s ID card. We got our food and I will give them credit it was prepared to our specifications. The burger patty was pretty thick and tender. The cook nailed the mediun well part, no pink and still moist. The fries weren’t the greatest thing. Although our temporary living quarters are a few minutes away they cooled quickly. I also believe the grease was old they cooked them in. My Wife got a chicken tenders platter. She said they tasted okay but she liked cotton patch better. She tried to give me some but I didn’t want any. She liked her green beans and Mac and cheese. I’m good on the place and since it was built have been eating there the last few years. I’d probably go back but it won’t be hurriedly.

Stupid waitress and manager at 54th. Waitress does not know her. Physically show the Waitress what drink i wanted and she charged me a higher price. Manager did nothing. Will not be returning… very unprofessional.

Came here on my lunch break and i ordered my usual, the ‘Four Play’ meal. The food was definetly disappointing. The quesadillas were dry and barely had cheese. The gringo dip was thick and lacked flavor. The chicken wings were over cooked, I can go on and on but I was very disappointed by the food I received.

Food and service is good, we were in the patio section. If you’re looking for quiet conversation with your date stay on the inside.

First, the building looks great, and many of my friends speak highly of this place, so I had to try it. The first few times I attempted to go, the wait to be seated was over an hour(with a line out the door), so we went somewhere else. If you go during prime times, expect to wait. The first thing you will notice is the menu is large, very large, almost too large. Also, lots of teenagers/young adults working there, so it the staff’s interactions makes it seem like a «fast food» environment instead of a sports bar or family restaurant. The inexperience of many of the staff is noticeable. The food was not memorable, I’ve had several meals, but nothing stands out as a «must order» dish, with the exception of the gringo dip, it’s delicious. If you have never had it, you must try it. They often overcook their steaks(but this is common in NoCo restaurants), if you like it mid-well, order it medium and if you like it medium, expect to send it back. Lots of people like their 9pm happy hour, but I can’t speak on that. I’ll try it one day and update my review. Oh yeah… and the music sucks. It doesn’t fit with the demographic of the restaurant’s customers, and each time I go, I hear people complaining about how horrible the music is. The managers said they don’t feel the have permission to change it, even when the customers are complaining.

The food here is ok, I’d rather have a few cocktails and a couple of tacos at happy hr. I do like that they have a late night happy hr that starts at 9pm. The last time I was here I had the jalapeño margarita. It was pretty good.

Let me start by saying I try to be very merciful to any restaurant, having a best friend who works in the food service industry. With that being said, I have no choice but to express my disappointment in my most recent experience. My guy and I ended up at the 54th Street Bar and Grill in Florissant after we arrived too late to order at our first choice of a restaurant. We were not greeted when we arrived and actually stood for about 7 minutes as the maitre d’ carried on a lengthy conversation with one the servers. My guy finally went right up to her and interrupted their conversation to see how long the wait would be for a table. She took his name, gave him a pager and we proceeded to sit in the waiting area, 10 feet from the maitre d’ post. 25 minutes later, she comes up to us, saying she thought we left, and she accidentally crossed us ioff the waiting list. I was perturbed, seeing as how she passed in front of us, looked me dead in the eye and seated other tables(they had been waiting longer) for the past 20 minutes. At any rate, we were soon seated and ready to enjoy our dinner. Once our server(the one who was chatting with the host) came, he let us know that last call was 5 minutes ago, and that he could only serve us one round of drinks.(ms. host should have told us before seating us). Fast-forward: Food comes, it was great, except my medium steak was well done, but what could one expect from a chain restaurant… The server was very anxious to finish his shift and proceeded to bring us the check shortly after our entrée arrived. He didn’t offer dessert and by this time, I was losing my appetite anyway. The icing on the cake was the workers who were tidying up behind our table, very loudly expressing their dislike for the previously departed patrons who were attending a birthday dinner. I found it rude, tactless and downright disrespectful that my meal was interrupted by their loud and crude banter. I WILLNOTBEBACKTOTHISLOCATION. PERIOD! I have had good experiences at the South County Location, so I will only patronize that location from now on.

The food is decent overall, but anything other than lunch don’t bother, as the crowd picks up the device goes down. And don’t bother going on a Sat night you’ll be waiting the entire evening, once to get seated then to get served and a finally to get the check.

My food was awesome, service was horrible! Took my server 35mins to get us our water & strawberry lemonade &40 mins for our appetizers. Manager didn’t do anything about it so I won’t be back.

We have never tried this restaurant before tonight. Probably won’t be back. Our waitress, Chelsey, was very nice and attentive. I give her 5-stars(*****). By no means do my wife or I consider ourselves«foodies» to any degree; that being said, we do expect a certain level of quality from an establishment. I think we got ushered into the«outer room» where the noisy large parties are placed because we had our child with us. That gesture made me feel unwelcome as a family establishment. The menu, in my opinion, has too many choices and is not well planned out. Dial it back a bit and stop trying to please everyone. Reduce the size of the menu and perfect the dishes you plan to keep. I ordered the blackened cajun chicken with mixed veg and baked potato. The mixed veg were overcooked. A common mistake made by cooks is to mistake«cajun blackened» with«overcooked and burned». That is how my chicken arrived. I could only manage to eat half the filet since I couldn’t cut the other have with the steak knife provided. On top of all that, literally, was a more than generous application of salt and lemon-pepper. The mixed veg and chicken were tremendously over-seasoned with lemon-pepper and salt. WAYTOOSALTY and I couldn’t taste the chicken over the lemon pepper. My wife had the petite filet. Again, over-cooked veg and extremely salty steak. Shame on you, chef, for doing that to a steak!!! The salad was delicious, as was my baked potato. Very disappointing dinner.

This review is based on service that my party received. We arrived a little late, but with the assumption that the restuatrant stayed open to midnight, per the information on Unilocal. The information help provided was actually incorrect, the restaurant was only open to 11pm on Wednesday. The food was great and the dessert was even better. I got the steak sandwich and it was very flavorful and filling. The service however was terrible. Our waitress constantly forgot drinks, food, and always took long to do anything. I’m sure they had to go to the sprite factory to get the sprite, Antarctica for ice, and china for the cup before giving me the drink I asked for 3 times. Food was great, service was terrible.

Great lunch stop. I ordered the soup, sandwich and fries. The fries were hot and crispy, thick cut and seasoned well. The chicken salad sandwich was great: hot buttered french bread, fresh lettuce and tomato. The chicken salad itself was SO fresh, it even tasted like it had just been seasoned and brought out to us. It was mixed fresh and you could taste the mustard, and the flavors of the veggies in the salad really shined through. Our waitress was great too.

I’m a regular… what more can I say! I’ve had the Tequila Wrappers, Chicken Quesadillas, Chicken Nachos, Fried Pickles, Blackened Chicken Grill, Tilapia Fish Sandwich… AND… Gringo Dip! If you haven’t had their Gringo Dip, get it now. It’s a cheesy, slightly spicy dip with a little bit of pico and spinach in it. To have it with the waffle fries is the best, but it’s good with tortilla chips also. My beverage of choice is their Peachy Palmer… yes! The atmosphere is your typical sports bar/casual/family friendly environment. I like that their kitchen is open late and they have late night happy hour starting at 9p.
