My Massaman curry was rich and creamy. The chicken was cook perfectly and the crushed peanuts added a great crunch to the dish. I also had the Thai coconut soup. The velvety coconut milk was accentuated by the tanginess of the lime juice. This was an enjoyable experience all around. Plus their happy hour last til 6:30. Good prices on generous pours.

We stopped in Florence because we wanted to visit Muscle Shoals, AL. Never expected to find a really hip sushi/​Thai place in this town. Excellent menu, very urban chic décor. Not 10 mins. from where we are camping with our trailer right on the river in McFarland Park. Wow!

I ate at this place. The the sushi was very slim. The fish was so thin… if it had gotten any thinner it would have been invisible. Do not go to this place. After we finished eating here… we went to Umi and sushi was big and great !

Great menu, friendly knowledgeable wait staff. The Thai bbq chicken was out of this world! Spring rolls are great as well. Had a beef tataki last week that was the dinner special-​very good! I would highly recommend this place when in Florence.

Yumm has quickly become my favorite dining experience in Florence. The ambiance is lovely without being pretentious. I still feel comfortable going in in casual clothes. The Saturday $ 5 saki pitchers are such a sweet deal. I have yet to eat anything that disappoints. From basics like the wonton soup, which was spectacular, to the sushi rolls, and especially the white chocolate covered mango/​raspberry sorbet, you just can’t beat this place!

I am really missing Yumm after moving to NJ. It’s a place always brings you good quality food. The owner keeps bring new dishes to the menu. It’s a Must Go place at downtown Florence if you like to try some Asian food.

Best Asian food in the shoals, by far. From the zen atmosphere to the awesome food, yumm is all around magnificent! Always go for whatever the daily special is. I particularly love Saturdays because pitchers of sake are only $ 5!

Was recommended to go to this restaurant by a Doctor I was in town to help. The sushi was very good and the Pad Thai was great. The waiting staff was very professional. I would go to this place again if I’m ever in town.

Very hip ambiance. Small but accommodating. Long bar.
Very clean and fresh.
The sushi was great. I had a sampler called dejavu and a roll called the Icelander which was tempura with a siraccha flair.
The bartender was very sweet and attentive, and she made a great martini.
They were very welcoming and accommodating and I will definitely return on my next trip to the shoals.

We were in Florence to see a Frank Lloyd Wright house (and also the Helen Keller house, although I didn’t realize that was there until we passed the sign!). I didn’t expect to find much in the way of food here, especially for my vegetarian husband, so kudos to Unilocal for directing us here. I had the chicken satay and a main dish of vegetables, fried tofu, almonds, and cashews. Yum!
We had a great meal in a very cool Zen-​tech kind of way, if that makes sense. The food was really good and both of us had plenty of choices. Service was great, seating comfortable, and nice music.

Excellent! Just excellent. High tech, modern. Great music and ambiance. A place you would expect in New York or Chicago.
Sushi was superb. Spicy tuna roll had its own signature sauce which I thought was really good.

We have really enjoyed Yumm since they opened in Florence. It’s very modern and clean. It is small, and probably not the best place for a large group.
I love the lychee martini, it’s a must try! It’s always so delicious. We also like the calamari and three flavors catfish.
Their sushi is very good and fresh — I will say that their menu does not necessarily denote if a roll contains fried ingredients, which has been an issue for me. When I told the server that I do not like fried food and that the dish was not as described, she did not offer to replace it or comp it from our bill, which I thought was a little strange and unprofessional (hence the 3 star review), but whatever.
Also, they do not always serve wasabi and soy sauce with their sushi — this girl needs her wasabi! They will be happy to serve it upon request though.
Yumm is very good in general and I do recommend.

Great little Thai restaurant in old town Florence. Been here a few times now and have been happy with the service and food.
My gf can’t eat spicy food so I was a little worried about that. The owner came by the table and told her what dishes she would be able to have without spice.
I went with the green curry chicken which was very good with a little kick. My gf went with the teriyaki chicken and was able to get steamed vegetables for the salad. She said it was perfect.
There’s happy hour from 5 – 6:30. And a free appetizer with check-​in at dinner with purchase of twenty-​five dollars
