The ride was awesome, my 3 kids loved it. I was terrified but I’m not much of a thrill seeker. It was long enough, but also short enough. Our driver was Ben, he was fantastic. I probably won’t brave it again but my family can’t wait to!

The adrenalin ride was worth every penny. It is like riding freestyle on a wild roller coaster, only without tracks and a young 20 something, with little fear, as our driver! Yet we all felt very safe.

Alex was a wonderful dune buggy driver! What an incredible adventure and experience. We took the 1 hour extreme dune buggy tour, that included the beach. Fast and furious was tons of fun, since we were covered from head to toe including face bandanas. A seriously one of a kind thrill ride with lots of motion: twists, turns and zooming up, down and around. Be prepared! Eat light, no drugs, no alcohol… or else take the other tours. Great Adventure!

Book in advance and get a 60 minute tour. We showed up early and could only get a 30 minute, but at least 5 minutes were spent getting to/​from the high speed areas (each way). We loved it and wanted more!

Fun family time here playing 18 holes mini golf and doing the go carts. Staff was great, property well kept and great prices. Highly recommend!

Fantastic! Im 6’4, 300lbs, and I fit in comfortably. the service is great. the owners are actively involved. the drivers know their sand rails, and take care of them. their driving skills are supurb, they communicate, making the ride safe and worry free! a great time not to be missed!

We rode the the train, rail, and tour. All were a experience never forgotten. The area was kept in a nice clean facility. For a public bathroom I was surprised! It was kept clean to my expectations. Although it was clean there does need to be more stalls and urinals. Another than that it is a great and fun facility.

Showed up around 2:00 excited to go on a sand dune ride. We were told by the front desk attendant that the next tour didn’t leave until 3 and that was only if ten people signed up. We sat in the parking lot for an hour only to be told that they wouldn’t take us. The front desk attendant did not seem very remorseful about it. Disappointed after hearing such great things.

Oh my gosh! So much fun! We almost didn’t make the last tour. I was in contact with Cindy all day and the manager allowed us to ride after we showed up 10 minutes after the last tour. We are grateful they did because it was an AWESOME ride. Our group of 5, 2 adults and 3 kids, all had a blast! Thanks to Matt, our driver, for one of our best memories we made.

Pretty decent value. Very well kept clean and well landscaped. The train has an unofficial schedule.

Took the family out for the dunes ride, and needless to say it was AWESOME! We chose the fast ride, Rob was our driver! E was great; sarcastic, great sense of humor and was informative about local eateries and more!!! The kids loved it and we’ll definitely be back !!

I have taken the tours at both Sandland Adventures and Sand Dunes Frontier. They are both fun, entertaining and somewhat educational… what you might call «edutainment». The Sandland Giant Dune Buggy tour is a solid value and is a good mix of laid-​back sightseeing (we even spotted migrating whales spouting out at sea), and a bit of steep dune runs towards the end of the tour. It is not the adrenaline pumping ride you will get on the smaller sandrails, but for the price it’s great. Between Sandland and Sand Dunes Frontier, I think Sand Dunes has a slight edge with their Big Blue rig with the giant airplane tires. It was a bit more informational and maybe it was the driver, but seemed a bit more fun on the dunes. Either way, you will have a good time so if one is booked-​up, try the other. They are very close in proximity to each other.

Soooo much fun! Dan was our driver and he made sure we all had a blast. He was knowledgable about the dunes and gave us fun little facts along the way. Prepare to be covered in sand by the end of the ride… and I mean COVERED! It was an adrenaline rush that I would do over and over again if possible. My only negative was that it ended too soon! we had people of all sizes ranging in age from 4 to 66. Everyone loved it!
Other than the sand rail tour, they also have a kiddie train ride, bumper boats, race cars for kids and mini golf. My 4 yr old had an afternoon of fun.

We just showed up ready to spend nearly $ 200 for three of us on a one hour sand rail tour of the Oregon Dunes. The lady at the counter took a quick glance at her schedule book and then said, Sorry nothing until 1:30. The current time was 9:30. So, we took our cash straight to their competitor, Sand Dunes Frontier, who gladly accepted our money and promptly loaded us into a sand rail. If I was the Owner of Sandland, i would be more engaged in my business so that there would be adequate resources to handle the demand when there is a very rare, almost 80 degree day on the Oregon Coast and demand will obviously be high.

1 hour Sandrail Tour… DO IT!!! I was still shaking for an hour after our ride from the adrenaline rush! Our driver, Phil — AWESOME!!! Shared some interesting history of the dunes and was sure to point out what we were looking at from the crest. But most importantly, he took the dunes like a pro, attacked them with speed and quick drops — it was a roller coaster ride! We thought about renting our own ATVs, so glad we didn’t! I would not have been able to replicate this adventure for sure!
Only thing I would change: maybe a brief explanation (assurance) of how the vehicle stays upright prior to departure — but that’s just me and my crazy.
Note: Be prepared for a white-​knuckle ride and to get sand EVERYWHERE. I’m still «finding» sand even after multiple showers since then.

We took the hour-​long thrill ride. It was amazing! Unfortunately, my motion-​sickness kicked in about half-​way through, but I would still recommend Sandland for anyone seeking incredible, off-​the-​beaten-​track dune views and HIGH SPEED buggy touring!

Took my young family on the 1 hour tour. All great people to deal with here. The tour was just the right length. Got a real good feel for the sand life out on the dunes. Think I need to buy a sand rail now! Woody was our driver, and although I wish he had done more daredevil stuff, my family had a great time. Best money you can spend out here.

My family was on spring break, and we wanted to experience the Oregon Dunes on a dune buggy tour. Sandland was the least advertised of the 3 big names, but Spinreel was doing maintenance and Sand Dunes Frontier’s seat belts couldn’t secure my 6-​year-​old. SDF to their credit suggested I go 4 miles up the street to Sandland (who I didn’t know about — their brochures aren’t nearly as prevalent as the others in my experience), and indeed they were capable. Even better, they were offering full 60-​minute tours to the ocean (unlike what the others were offering in early April)!
Mike was our driver and he was fantastic. He sat my kids (6 and 8) up front with him, and we also rode with a family with a couple of teen boys. We all had a blast. Mike was routinely checking on us all even as he gunned it at 70 on the straightaways, drove us on 60-​degree angles, and generally defied gravity for about 75% of our time with him. Along the way he gave us a brief bit of info on the dunes and nearby Florence (via a nice overlook). He also took our photo as we were at the Pacific, so bring your cameras if you can! Though one family didn’t, and he used his own phone and mailed them afterwards.
The experience of ramping up an almost vertical dune, to then topping it and staring down the wall at the other side, with a landscape as far as the eye could see of more of the same, on a blue sky with a half-​moon visible, was perhaps the most otherworldly experience of my life. And then when he kicked in the motor, it was like the last 20-​minutes of «2001.» The pleasure synapses were firing so hard as the ride ended that when the other family asked us what we were doing for the rest of our trip, I, meticulous planner I am, could not even gather my thoughts coherently to speak. It was THAT good. Go with this group — you won’t regret it!
