River Bottom Grill

Service was poor, food not much better. Everything I touched felt sticky, and by the time I left I felt like I needed a shower. The in-​house outhouse is a joke, and opens up right into the main dining room… very tacky. Other than that, it was a great place.

Four for lunch. Three of us had the Friday special, fish & chips. The fish was light and firm with good flavor. Rural, rustic, western feel.

Saturday was a beautiful day for a Motorcycle Ride, I let me wife pick a fun new restaurant to
try out in Florence, We pulled up to River Bottom Grill and saw other Motorcycles out front
so I thought if other Bikers come here it must be great. It was indeed. We sat out on the back patio, nice breeze, the waitress we had was very attentive, brought out drinks and the food very quickly. The food was very good, My wife ordered the Steak Sandwich with Garlic Fries and I had a Bratwurst Sandwich with Onion Rings — Both were delicious! Looks like the place may be hopping on Weekend nights because there was a lot of room for big party out back!

As for the owner oh well ya can’t have it all, it’s not polite to stare, even when people are dressed up for the ren-​fest.

This is a remarkable destination for food, drink and live music. The entire staff are quick and attentive. The food especially the clam chowder is awesome. Do not drive through Florence without stopping here.

I stopped by today around 12:20 for lunch, I have never been there before and was expecting it to be busy, to me it didn’t seem like it was. I went to the men’s room real quick before sitting down and when I did sit down I sat at the end of the bar closest to the door. I then looked at the menu, which seems wide which is nice, but waited and waited and waited and was never even greeted!!! I would assume it was the manager/​owner who finally said something to me but that was only how are you doing? Not, have you been helped or excuse the wait we are having issues with our POS system, nothing! I proceeded to wait around a half hour to see if someone would even ask if I wanted something to drink to start and NOTHING!!! That is horrible. If I was running this place and knew the POS system was down, other people would be called in to help with the slack until it recovered and not rely on 3 people to take care of the bar/​outside/​and inside! Doubt I will be back and will be posting the same info on google reviews and Unilocal

This is a joynt that I’ve been wanting to try for some time but just never stopped in until… yesterday, while looping around AJ, Superior, Oracle and over to STF for dinner vittles, we popped into the River Bottom Grill to wet our whistles and stretch our legs.
Unassuming exterior, dusty dirt parking lot full of olde skool rat bikes, full dressers and an occasional wing ding, outdoor seating, friendly good looking staff, awesome live music and a chill laid back vibe serving up blue moon for me, Tito’s for the partner in crime, Jack and Patron for the rest of the crew.
Now what more could you ask for?

Only ate there once so far, with the new owner. It was the best burger I’ve ever had. gourmet tasting. Blue cheese in it.yummmmm.hubby had cod fish n chips. delicious and perfectly cooked

What can I say… I love this bar! I first came here about a year and a half ago and was rather unimpressed. But, on my second visit in the late spring of 2015, a pleasant surprise awaited. I rode in, figuring that I could at least grab a beer before riding home. TAs I was drinking and meeting some of the patrons from all over the US and Canada, a laid back fellow in jeans and a T shirt approached me. And that’s how I met Jeff, the new owner of this bar. He has taken this place and turned it into a destination. Popular with the biker and off road communities who frequent the area, there is something here for everyone. The food is amazing! Being from Washington, Jeff brought his own recipe for clam chowder. I’m not a chowder person, but this stuff is amazing! My daughter begs me to come here for the fries. The beer is always ice cold too. But, the atmosphere is what keeps me coming back. I’m always greeted with a smile, and most recently, after losing a very close friend in a tragic accident, was greeted with the biggest hug and thoughtful condolences from Jeff himself. This place is and will be my goto place. Perfect for a short ride from home, or a destination after a days activities, the River Bottom is the place to be. So, thank you Jeff and staff for making this place awesome!

Stopped in for a late lunch and was surprised how many people were there. Wife had a great burger and I had the fish and chips. Both were very good.

I’ve been in Florence for 10 days visiting my elderly father and helping him recover from surgery. The bartender is exceptionally sweet and remembered us on our second visit. The food is ok, pretty typical bar food but I will go back the next time I’m in Florence based on the service alone. Oh and they have a pretty nice selection of local beers and micros from the west coast. It’s not fancy but warm and welcoming.

Great place to go for a burger and atmosphere. I recommend the atomic burger, be warned, it’s spicy!

Rode 1500 miles to eat at the River Bottom Grill, great food, ice cold beer, great staff! Jeff-​the new owner– really has a good thing going here! If you like warm beer, over expensive greasy subpar food, & a smelly bar; this place is for you! I know bars are supposed to smell bad, but not like urine.

Just stopped in for a quick drink on our way through. Seems like a nice place. Didn’t eat, just drank.

Way too much fun! We came here for a bite during bike week! Not only do they have a great selection of draft Az beers, but the burgers are awesome. I had a blue with bacon and sweet potatoe fries, my hubby had another burger with garlic fries. They had live music playing on the patio and its just a fun place to grab a bite and an ice cold draft! Live well, eat well and enjoy!

The place smells like piss. And the beer was about that warm. A simple burger and fries cost me my left arm and right leg. I guess it cost a lot of money to keep a place smelling like warm piss. Every damn snowbird from the area came in on their three-​wheeled moto-​scooter and it took 25 minutes to get that warm beer. All those tricycles out front made the place look like a geriatric gang owned the place. I guess that explains the piss smell. Anyways, not going back there again. I’ll hit the Sonic down the street if I want a burger and fries. One star was being generous. Didn’t have half a star. I would have given it that half star because they did have a wobbly, sticky chair for me to sit in.

After having a great time riding around town, stopped here and had some brewskis and a snack or two. My sis, daughter, and I ordered some draft beers. They got Bud lights, and I got a Sierra Nevada something or other as they were out of Fat Tire on tap. Should have ordered bottles. The beer was not cold, and we all like our beers ice cold. Sis and daughter ordered burgers and fries, and I ordered an order of garlic fries (was worried about vampires in the area, lol). They said their burgers were ok, and the garlic fries were as promised– garlicky. Thank goodness Pixie had gum when we left. I ordered a margarita on the rocks, and I’d give it a ⁷⁄₁₀ limes. Honestly, it was better than I expected. We are not locals and needed a place for a cold one or two. This place fits that bill. I do wish there would have been a juke box to play.

Spending the day with my Aunt and Mom we stopped in here to have a beer. The crappiest beer I’ve ever had. If you’re not a Florence local first thank your lucky stars and second prepare to be stared at. The bartender needs to wear a clean bra if she’s going to wear a shirt that showcases it. Well, she needs to wear a bra that fits.
