Driving in Florence can sometimes be a dangerous endeavor. Imagine my dismay this past March when I was involved in not one but TWO accidents within a two week span. My poor car had been mangled by an elderly woman driving a monstrous SUV who was lost in the countryside and an overzealous patron of the local Starbucks more intent on talking on the cellphone than driving. I am highly skeptical of the car repair industry having heard way to many horror stories of faulty repairs, bad service, and monstrous bills. I asked around my workplace about collision repair and this place came highly recommended. I am sure glad I took this advice since the whole experience turned out to be way less stressful than I thought it would be.
This place is tucked away in the countryside and has a real mom and pop feel to it. Don’t get fooled into thinking that commercialized places (i.e. Maaco) can do a better job than a small business. Read the owner’s website and you can get a feel for how he runs his business. From the first day I took my car there I knew it would be in good hands. The owner, Dwight, actually walked me step by step on what it would take to fix my car. He explained every part that would have to be replaced and let me know how the paint job would have to go to get my car in pre-​wreck condition. I can’t say that I have ever been more impressed with any car repair/​service business than with Mobley’s Paint & Body Works. They had my car repaired in four days which was quite impressive considering the damage. Please don’t hesitate to use these folks if you ever have any collision repair issues. Not only did they fix my car they also helped dispel my pessimism that there aren’t any honest people left in the car repair industry.
