I travel all over the country and this is the best catfish I have ever had. It can be very busy so don’t be surprised if you have to wait in line to get in.

The best service possible! Will Trammel made my day. He is competent and willing to go the extra mile. He is a treasure to this restaurant. And remember this review is from me, who hates fish, if 6 stars we possible I’d give that!

We were treated like a local… catfish was delicious! Be prepared to wait for seating and keep the door closed! The amount of flys can be a little over whelming, I sure it comes with the Mississippi heat in the middle of summer at any restaurant. I am from Florida… so a fly, cockroach every now and then is no biggy. The place was clean! Including the bathroom. Would have like the large tables used more, I would have gladly sat next to a stranger to eat 30 minutes sooner

Awesome place with some very good catfish. It is not the best catfish I have ever had, and not the best you will ever have, but it is very good, and unlimited. They use the tender little filets and just keep them coming if you order unlimited. The menu is basic, but it is all you need! Get the hush puppies, of course, and you won’t regret it. I’d also suggest trying the fried jalapeños — they were much better than you might expect!

I’m giving Jerry’s five stars not for the ambience, but 5 stars because it must be judged & rated exclusively for what it is… A GREATCATFISHRESTAURANT!!! My advice for those that are thrifty is to not always purchase the all you can eat catfish deal. You may not have a large enough appetite for it to be worth the money so consider a catfish plate which can save you 5 bucks or so. Be prepared to wait if you eat there specifically during a weekend night. The catfish is very fresh & one of the best around in the Hinds & Rankin County areas. You can’t miss the building as it’s quite unique & shaped literally like an igloo. If you aren’t a southerner & have never tried fried frog legs & fried pickles, you should give them a try here. You only live once!!!

I’m not the type to leave a bad review for the sake of it. Our server was super sweet. The full pickles were good, but not exceptional. My bf had the catfish. And we’re super excited to eat here as it’s kind of known for amazing catfish. It was meh. The cole slaw was sugary, watered down mush. The hush puppies were great, though. I wouldn’t return. Not worth the 30 minute drive.

Jerry’s Catfish House is THE best farm-raised catfish you are gonna eat. Anywhere. It’s so amazingly delicious. The all-you-can-eat also includes hush puppies, coleslaw and french fries. The hush puppies are incredible and the sweet coleslaw is great. And the service is super fast. Because it is so good, this place is extremely popular and always packed. They have a lot of seating(upstairs and down) but if you get there after 6pm, you are gonna have to wait. Heh. But truly… the best catfish I’ve ever had.

This is *the* place to get catfish in Mississippi! I’ve been eating here for at least 20 years now. You can’t miss the building, it’s shaped like a huge igloo. Very cool. They even have photos on the wall inside showing the building process. They get extremely busy here, so don’t be surprised if you see the line out the door with people waiting to get in. If you can, show up when they open so you don’t have to wait. They are known for the«all you can eat» catfish, hush puppies, coleslaw, and fries. It’s not a buffet, the waitress keep bring the food to your table and it’s all hot and fresh. Everything is phenomenal! I personally like my catfish crispy, so if you do too, make sure you ask for it that way. They will be more than happy to oblige you. The«all you can eat» costs around $ 13 now… they keep going up on the prices. But, that’s everywhere, right? I really don’t eat all that much, so the last few times I’ve been here, I’ve just ordered one of the plates of catfish that comes with the sides for around $ 8 and it’s been plenty of food for me. I just can’t see spending the extra $ 5 when I’m not going to eat that much more anyway. So keep that in mind. If you’re in the Jackson, MS area, try to make a point to go to Jerry’s. Even if you don’t think you like catfish, try it from here. I’ve lived in FL for the past 17 years and I have yet to find anywhere in this state that can fry up catfish the *right* way. I have to wait for one of our trips to MS to get good catfish… and trust me, Jerry’s knows how to fry it up perfectly!

Great all-you-can-eat catfish and awesome hush puppies!!! Very different ambiance here and it works really well. This place seems to always be pack yet we always find a place to sit. At times I wish our waitress would visit more frequent.

Unilocal nation. Jerry’s catfish house number 2 has literally left me completely speechless. This catfish joint puts the fun and tasty back into all you can eat southern fried catfish and more. Everything is perfect! Sweet tea? Perfect. Catfish? Perfect. Hush puppies? Perfect. Cole slaw? Better than perfect. Frog legs? Pretty good. I’ve been coming here with my family for years and have never had a bad experience… except that one time(lol *Frank*) IMINLOVEWITHTHISPLACE! Why don’t I marry it? Because it’s a restaurant. Definitely go here when you can. Can’t wait until my next trip back there.

From California. A big igloo in the middle of the south. WOW. The food is great. Lots of cars and the fried catfish is the best. not greasy. Will go back.

waited nearly 15 minutes for drinks. was served by an unfriendly waitress. catfish wasn’t crispy, but rather floppy and flavorless. coleslaw is a grated, watery, over sweetened mush. french fries were unseasoned and fresh from the freezer. best thing is the hushpuppies. homemade and good. will not be back. not worth the wait or the price. :)

You can’t beat Jerry’s catfish… thin and crispy, good flavor without that«you-know-whut-I-mean» fishy taste. And hey, real hush puppies, done southern style… not those frozen bullets some folks try to pass off as hush puppies… what the heck! Good and fast service with a down-home attitude, «Y’all need some more fries, hon?» And let’s face it Bubba, it just don’t git any better than, All-You-Can-Eat! «Hey, Scooter, pass me that cole-slaw.»

ALLYOUCANEATCATFISH!!! This place is awesome and is worth the wait. Family styled dinner with catfish, slaw, fries, hush puppies, and all the sweet tea you could want. The building is shaped like an igloo with two floors of dining. The service rocks too. It is like your momma giving you your dinner. They do have whole catfish, but who wants to deal with that?! Dinner is about $ 12 per person all you can eat. They will take reservations for parties of 8 or more.
