Ella K.

Business Owner

Ella is an experienced Elite Artistic Designer and makeup artist with a proven ability to tailor to clients’ specific needs such as: hair texture, face shape, skin tones, daily time management, and lifestyle. Her passion is to educate clients about their own hair in order to maintain their style with ease and confidence at home.

Beginning her career in 2002, Ella achieved the Master Designer level through years of service at an upscale salon in Crestview Hills, Kentucky. She earned advanced ceritifcation in the Brazillian Blowout Keratin Smoothing Treatment. She also served as the salon’s lead educator, mentoring other stylists on how to be the best in Greater Cincinnati.

Since then, Ella has continued her cosmetology education by traveling to Wella Studio in Los Angeles, and attending celebrity stylist seminars in St. Louis, Chicago, Atlanta, and Indianapolis. Advanced training has allowed her to stay updated on the latest techniques and trends in the hair care industry.

Ella has a rare talent for styling hair! She has been cutting my hair for over 3 years – every moment of the service and the results have been more than satisfactory. I love the private environment of her salon and her careful attention to my wishes and needs. She has the expertise and skill to make excellent suggestions and executes the best cut and color for me. I appreciate that she is always on time and that she has a delightful personality. The service and results are always very enjoyable.

Absolutely LOVE Ella. She is a great stylist. She does great cut & color. I get stopped all the time by people asking me where I get my hair done which is how I found her in the 1st place as well. She takes continued education & is very «trendy» which is exactly what I like.

I became a client of Ella’s a few years ago. I came to see her out of necessity but decided to stay by choice. This woman is a scissor artist, no really. I am consistently amazed at how happy I continue to be when leaving her salon. She is knowledgeable about product and skillful at cut. She is patient and considerate of what you are asking from her. She clarifies and discusses her expert opinion if she thinks something might not turn out as you hope. She also explains future maintenance of a daring style. This is something that is not easy to do and she has these conversations with ease. The part I admire about her is her continuing education and training. She loves her craft and it shows. I was never truly satisfied prior to coming to Ella, it was «just hair» I would say. I now know what is possible, because Ella has transformed my hair!

Ella has been making my hair look fabulous for the past five years. She knows how to give young adults a fun, low-​maintenance style. My appointments usually consist of a cut and eyebrow wax, but I’ve also gone to her for special occasion up-​dos and coloring. I really enjoy the long, relaxing scalp massage she gives during the shampoo. She also asks a lot of questions about your cut to give you exactly what you want.
The best part is that Ella is a one-​woman operation. Based out of Salon Concepts, she has her own spacious private suite rather than working in a salon assembly line. She also only uses hair products that she likes, rather than what the salon is promoting. In addition, she offers discounts if you get more than one service in a visit.
Men: you can visit Ella too! Some of my male friends are long-​time clients and she gives them stylish, low-​maintenance cuts.
You can find Ella’s suite inside Salon Concepts in Florence, located between the Walmart and giant Fifth Third building on Burlington Pike. She’s definitely worth the 20-​minute drive from Cincinnati.
