Be forewarned. The owner of this establishment is a well-​known sleazeball with a reputation for substance abuse. He will take every penny you have and demand more if you choose to rent from him.
Forget about your security deposit. The only time they invest in their clients is figuring out ways to cheat you.

We were fortunate not to do business with this outfit. They got no money from us and based on our experience and the other comments in Unilocal,be very weary of giving them your money. We found a vacation home we wanted to rent on the VRBO (Vacation Rentals By Owner) website. The breakout of the rental costs on the VRBO site looked reasonable and inline with the «offseason times and rates» as stated in the description for the period we chose. When we submitted our request to VRBO we received a reply back from Costal Property Management saying they handle the rental of the property and the time we want is peak season and to log onto their site to get the cost of the month’s rent. The rent increased about three-​fold and the deposits and other fees and taxes were outrageous. There’s plenty more to our story about the bait-​and-​switch outfit they actually are including changing details in their website from what was stated the day before. The bottom line is be VERY careful when dealing with the people at Costal Property Management.

HORRIBLE experience! Why would any property owner, or renter put up with a company who conducts business like this?
On Sept 16, 2014 I drove to the coast with the intent of renting a large vacation home for a week. When I walked in, Myself and another customer stood waiting in the entry and were ignored for a few minutes while 3 people working could clearly see us. When someone finally decided to help us, someone assisted the first person, and then I was left standing on my own. Not even a hello! Then a girl ‘Shannon’ (I went back in fuming to get her name after) came out and said «Do you need something?» I mean seriously!!! This is how you great your customers! When I said that I’d driven in to inquire about beach front rentals, she just said «you can get all that info on our website.» And I said that I’d driven in to talk to someone. And she said…“Well, I can give you a brochure.” And that’s when I left. No way would I give this company a dime.

My sister recent rented from coastal prop. Manag. WORST decision ever. This company needs a reality check. All they do is screw there customers over. I’ve herd this from multiple friends and acquaintances of mine. When my sister moved into this house, it was «ok» they actually had to deep clean everything before putting anything away. This is just the beginning. They were charger outrageous Fees for things that were broke or torn apart before they had actually even moved in. Also Before they even moved into the house a year ago they had to purchase a brand new mower because coastal didn’t even have the courtesy to mow the lawn before new renters moved in. But they actually have balls to charge the renters after they MOVED OUT to charge them Mowing & weed fee’s of $ 50. That’s not everything btw.
I can go on & on… I will try not too, but I’m just so disgusted with these people & the way they run this business!
My sister is a very clean & organized person and has always kept up on her house. Coastal charged her outrageous cleaning fees for light bulbs, paint, supplying one new door the «outside» shed that was actually rotten before they moved in a year ago. And paying for god awful prices for the cleaners time. She had patched every small hole from tacks & anything that needed attention. I helped my sister deep clean the house for 10 hours prior to them moving out and I feel these people raped them for everything they had! They don’t mind paying cleaning fees, just for the normal
living circumstances, minor nail holes in walls ect. But when you pay $ 1000 deposit & and they scarf it all up. Like I said just sad people like this have the audacity to scam over hard working families! Thats it nothing more to say, I would never recommend never renting from this agency! Only is desperate I would try not too. If you need to rent a home, try looking for privately owned or private renters.

My wife wants to go to Florence and we checked to see if this company had changed. Apparently not. We had rented a vacation «cottage» in the north part of town several years ago. The photos looked fine. When we arrived, the place overlooked a home whose backyard was a complete junk pile. The furniture on the patio was rusted… and I mean rusted. One couldn’t sit on it without a tetnus shot IMHO. The interior walls were greasy looking. The burners on the stove were lopsided… as was the toilet which was an experience in itself. The couch had a side table with a lamp on it… but the lamp cord was stretched across the walkway and just barely plugged in, leaving the cord about 2′ up in the air! We unplugged it. It was late when we arrived and we contacted the manager the next morning. We were willing to pay for the cleaning and the night, but we had rented this shed for a week. Even though the rental was not as described in their listing, THEY HAVE A NO REFUND POLICY and as such, we lost $ 1,000…yes, we left and went with another company… as the loss was worth it to leave the dump. We have never used them again, but since we haven’t been in a couple years, we thought maybe they changed their ways. Guess not… nice pictures though!

Worst property management that I have ever been through. Do not get tempted by cheap rent or other discounts in their listing. This company will take care of your money really fast, but nothing else.
They charged over $ 350 for a cleaning fee (not including the carpet cleaning service). It is so ridiculus. I admit that the burners on the oven were not clean, but I am not a type of person who trashes the house or make holes on the walls. In fact, I was charged only $ 25 for the cleaning service at the other apartment with a different company.
They are shady. They will talk nice to you, but they are not at all. Talk to people in town if you still don’t believe me.

They will take all of your deposit and charge you for things that you should not be charged for.
They will mail out the information saying you are not getting your deposit on time but they will not include all of the receipts.
