Absolutely amazing. Fresh donuts, the best I’ve tasted! The buttermilk bars, apple fritters, maple bars, cinnamon rolls were all amazing! Super friendly people too!

Great Donuts as we are new to town & walking distance away. we want to try the sandwiches next ! They looked great !

Tried the maple bar & chocolate buttermilk bar. Maple bar was delicious, with a good frosting & bit of a crisp to the outside. Chocolate buttermilk bar was a lot denser than what I’m used to & tasted a bit doughy inside. Super friendly, would definitely stop by again if in the area!

Well, actually coffee and apple fritters… And doughnuts… And really really good burgers… And breakfast bagel sandwiches.
I feed that addiction (pun intended) at Big Dog Doughnuts.
Dirk, and everyone there, is always friendly and helpful.
The doughnuts and fritters are great and big enough that you only need one. I had a breakfast bagel last week… The bacon, egg and cheese on a jalepeno bagel was quite likely one of the best things I’ve eaten in months.
I could go on and on.
I will return regularly (and do).

I already wrote a review and put a picture down of my French dip but I didn’t get to add the stars and I have to tell you between their absolutely best in the west pastries I personally recommend the buttermilk bar but my cousin is fanatic 4 the apple fritters and they actually have big pieces of Apple in them yummy but they’re French dip was like the best I’ve ever had and I’m in my sixties they are you I don’t know how they do it but it was good enough to drink and we’ve also heard and saw their burgers which looks spectacular they make everything their potato salad oh my goodness it was homemade like everything else here but you have to get there early because when the pastries are gone they closed the door today it was at 1:30. Can’t wait to go back again when I’m coming through town it’s becoming a regular stop for us at the big dog

Really great experience! Nice small place with a killer burger deal for lunch. Also just really nice quality people! Definitely enjoyed every minute of being there. Going to Coke back for doughnuts for sure!

Stopped by since reviews were good. Guy behind the counter seemed a little tired, but a little kidding brought him around. The pop machine was broken and this really caused stress.
Lots of what looked like locals came in and were greeted by name. Seemed like an average donut place but soon spied blueberry donuts. Ordered one with coffee. Very original. At least I have not had one in memory.
Next day stopped by around noon to get more blueberry donuts but the display was half empty with no blueberry donuts. Didn’t see anything I desired so left.
Worth a try if you really like donuts. But other than those blueberry donuts, pretty standard production.

These donuts are amazing and fluffy. And the dancing figurines in the window are. Great prices and super friendly!

My first two times here I got donuts and was very happy. I had heard good things about their lunch menu so I decided to try it out. I got a burger and fries. First of all, the price can’t be beat. $ 7.50 includes the burger, fries, and a drink. The burger was delicious. The patty was juicy but the bun didn’t get soggy. And the fries? Absolute perfection. I haven’t had such good fries for many years.
I didn’t plan on eating the whole thing but I did. I couldn’t stop.
Everyone there was super-​friendly. You won’t get your food in a minute because it’s freshly prepared when you order. There is limited parking but I’ve had no problem finding a space.
I will be back. :)

What can possibly be better than Donuts and Great Food? Our family LOVES the Burgers and the Donuts here. The food is GREAT and the People are even Greater! They play Cribbage and have Cribbage Boards on the Tables. It’s a super-​friendly place to hang out and enjoy a meal!

Great staff! They were very friendly and helpful. We were passing through to visit the coast and they definitely made the trip even more enjoyable.

Gave this place a second chance and happy to report they have a Chocolate Iced Buttermilk Bar that’s pretty darn good. Still a bit on the pricey side. And if you’re not there early you won’t get one.

This place was a complete surprise. It doesn’t look like it could be any good from the outside. But looks can be deceiving. The turkey club was delicious and huge. On homemade bread I believe. The fries were piping hot and fresh. And it’s the little things. Like chilled glasses for beverages. And the donuts. I got a a chocolate covered cinnamon roll and my girlfriend got a maple bar. Both were fresh and some of the best we’ve had.

Well I’m pretty fed up with this particular establishment. I know the doughnuts are good and baked fresh everyday, problem is they are always out of inventory. Today I got there at 10am and they were already sold out. This has been going on for quite some time and unless you’re a local in Florence, forget about it. I have gone in before and actually seen the employees sitting at the tables playing card games because they sold out, HELLO! If you are that successful then why the heck can’t you bake up a few more? You’d make more money and people wouldn’t be getting turned away empty handed. The lady in front of me was looking for the apple fritters (what I wanted) and was turned away because they were out. Very disappointed, so hard to find a good doughnut these days… don’t really care about the lunch menu, thought you were a doughnut shop. I have tried so many times to get there before they sell out and have failed to do so, I’m done trying.

Best hamburger in town for the price.
$ 7.50 gets you a hefty burger with everything, great fries and a soda delivered to you so hot you have to wait to eat.
Next best burger is at the Firehouse for about three dollars more.

Came here a few weeks ago to try out their new breakfast menu. I had the biscuits and gravy and coffee. The biscuits were great. The gravy tasted like it was from a can, that was a disappointment. I like the donuts here, so probably will stick to the donuts only next time.

Got here 5 minutes before close on a Sunday, looking for a quick bite before starting the drive home. It’s a humble little joint, but the prices were good and the folks were friendly. The $ 7.50 burger meal (w/​fries and a drink) seemed an easy choice. Holy moly! What a great burger! The Northwest generally does burgers very well, but even so, I found this exceptional! Tasted like the perfect intersection of a backyard burger and the typical great thick-​pattied burger you get at every good brewpub, and at ¹⁄₃ pound I was perfectly satisfied without feeling stuffed and bloated. My partners turkey sandwich and slaw were also quite good, and the sent us on our way with a couple of free donuts too! Best meal on the trip.

Found this place with the help of Unilocal… well worth it. The fritters are enormous, they had 3 left at 11am… so we got 2.. Have to agree, these are very good donuts, worth the find. They are made fresh daily, once they are gone, the shop closes. Yummy!

Tasty sandwich shop right on the 101. Had a BLT and French Dip — both delicious! Service was super friendly, even gave us each a free donut for the road. PS — donuts also delicious! If you’re in the area definitely stop by and give it a shot. Small, local, family owned and operated — great little find in this town!
