Our optical shop displays over 1100 frames including many designer brands (Dolce & Gabbana, Versace, Lindberg, Coach, LaFont, Lilly Pulitzer, Vera Wang, Dana Buchman, Kate Spade, Jhane Barnes, and many more). Our opticians ONLY dispense the best quality lenses, lens coatings and treatments available today. Come in and see us at our new location; 711 Cox Creek Parkway in Florence.

History

Established in 1992.

Dr. Basden established Florence Eye Center in November 1992. Our original location was also on Cox Creek Parkway in approximately 1400 sq ft. As the practice grew, space soon became a problem. The practice moved to 164 Ana Drive in January 2000. Dr. Basden was fortunate to have Dr. Ben Kachelman join the practice during the Summer of 2006. The practice has continued to grow forcing another relocation to our new facility on Cox Creek Parkway. Dr. Chad Brewer and Shoals Eye Clinic joined forces with Florence Eye Center in December 2009. Our new facility is approximately 7,000 sq feet in size with 8 themed exam rooms, 4 special testing rooms with the latest in diagnostic equipment, a LARGE optical displaying over 1100 frames. Our patient waiting area is equipped with two internet ready computers for patient use, a 48 inch LCD TV and fireplace. Each exam room also has a 19 inch LCD TV for our patient’s use.
