I have been coming to Floral Park Arthritis for almost two years now and have experience a wonderful level of care each time I have come in for my appointment. Dr. Stein takes plenty of time with each of his patients reviewing concerns and treatment plans. I have always left feeling like we(doctor and patient) as a team made the right decision on how to proceed. If I had any additional questions after my visit, I would call in and leave a message for Dr. Stein to call me back. Before the end of the day, I had received a return phone call and my questions were answered. Each doctor you see in life runs his office differently than the other doctor. From specialist to general doctor, they all have their own ways of checking you in, wait times, etc. If you go to any doctors office an expect to be seen at exactly your appointment time, then you are setting yourself up to be annoyed. You cannot control the patients that went in before you who may have taken extra time. Magazines, fish tanks, TV’s are in doctors offices for a reason. They keep patients occupied until it’s their turn. If your doctor doesn’t have anything in his or her office to keep you entertained during the waiting period, bring your own book. Thankfully Dr. Stein has lots of magazines, a big flat screen on the wall(with real cable-not fake cable), and a really beautiful fish tank with lots of Cichlids. They even had a few baby fishes a back in the summertime. At this office, you come in and sign in on the pad at the desk and then wait. Patients are seen based on their appointment time, which again is not set in stone. My appointment today was at 9:00AM, and I was seen about 10:00AM. If you know your doctor delivers personalized attention to each patient, and that you won’t be seen at your scheduled time, then plan and make sure you allow yourself enough time. With regards to Dr. Steins staff, I have never had anything other than a great experience with all of the ladies at the front desk. Try and remember that getting all upset with the staff is ridiculous as they do not dictate how long a doctor spends with each patient. In closing, my experiences here have been nothing but great. I would recommend Dr. Stein for anyone living in this area. A good rheumatologist is hard to find. The office is situated a few blocks off Hillside Ave, pretty much between Hillside and Jericho Tpk. Street parking only, but always plenty of places to park and no meters.

Dr. Stein is a great doctor, he is friendly, personable, bilingual, able to treat patients in a quick efficient manner; depending on their medical situation. The office is busy as expected, since he is a Specialist and there aren’t many Rheumatoid Arthritis specialists on the Queens/Nassau border. They are very strict on making appointments via telephone or through their online web portal. The receptionists are very sweet and care about the patients as well. I highly recommend this practice, keep up the great work FPA!

Since zero is not an option… Terrible office. Receptionists are incredibly rude and talk about the patient. I yhink they forgot that this isnt a high school atmosphere and to be a little more professional. The dr is visibly overwhelmed and there is a stressful feeling upon walking in. I would never recommend this office to anyone who has a medical issue.
