One of my favorite spots downtown! They have the best prepared food, supplements, groceries, and so much more. All of the prepared food is freshly made. Some of my favorites are the buffalo barbeque sandwich, mixed veggie with avocado sandwich, and the tuna salad sandwich. I usually order mine on a spelt tortilla wrap instead of sliced spelt bread, but both of them are wonderful. They even offer sprouts too! All of the soups are amazing. They are organic and made from scratch with the alkaline ionized water, which is produced by the store as well. I love just sitting out on their porch and enjoying delicious, healthy food! I don’t know if there is anything better. Their smoothies and shakes are clean and packed with real flavor. They use only organic fruit and fruit juice(no flavored syrups/concentrates, ice, or any unnecessary additives). For my fellow coffee lovers, they have organic coffee(made with alkaline water) everyday. It is so much better than any other coffee I’ve had! They even have soy coffee creamer! This store has a lot of grocery items that you can’t find anywhere else. All kinds of delicious specialty breads, wild caught fish, and grass fed meats. They carry a lot of awesome Michigan-made products as well. The Grainery also has kombucha, natural energy drinks/shots, ginger beer, and many other awesome natural beverages in all different flavors. If you’ve never been here, I would strongly encourage you to give it a try! You won’t be disappointed. :)

Decent selection, but overpriced to the point of embarrassment on many things. One of my friends used to work here on and off for years, so that’s essentially why I’ve shopped here. Now, I can’t really think of a good reason to go out of my way to shop here, other than curiosity or some special in-house deal that they’re advertising. Sometimes, I’ve found the owners to be haughty and a bit unpleasant. I would rather deal with someone else if I’m in the store. They kind of grate on my nerves a bit, if I’m being honest. What this shop does have going for it is a rather nice selection of organic food and hard to find items, but the prices are totally ridiculous, considering the market. I feel like they’ve priced themselves out of the marketplace and aren’t being at all competitive in this town. If you look hard enough, you can find quality organic fruits and veggies at the farmer’s market and other grocers for much less. They should re-evaluate their pricing strategy. Also, I think the owners go too far in trying to dispense medical advice and push supplements to customers when they have no business doing so since they lack medical training. They are business owners, not doctors or pharmacists. I’m afraid continuing this type of business practice by giving out medical advice is going to go south and bite them in the ass someday.

This is a cool little health food store located downtown Flint. For the size, they carry a decent variety of food selections. The fruit and veggie selection was much smaller than I had hoped for ~ not sure if this quantity is the norm. The prices are about what one would expect for organic and health food items. They have a small private lot for parking.
