History
Established in 1975.
Dr. Hylon Heaton built his practice over 30 years ago to be conveniently near North, South, East and West bound freeways. It services all of Flint and surrounding communities. The hospital maintains hours that are client friendly; six days a week. If not available, the hospital staff (his family) refers patients to the Animal Emergency Hospital, which Dr. Heaton and other area doctors established in 1985.
The hospital has always operated on a cash basis but accepts Mastercard, Visa, Discover Card and Care Credit.

Dr. Hylon Heaton is a Michigan State University graduate of Veterinary Medicine, with a minor in Chemistry. His father, also a veterinarian, practiced his entire life in Boyne City, Mi.
He has served twelve years as Secretary Treasurer of the local Saginaw Valley Veterinary Medical Association. He was President in 2007⁄2008. Dr. Heaton was elected in a statewide election to the Michigan Veterinary Medical Association Executive Board and served as its president in 2002. Like his father, he prefers to run his practice as a small town business, hands on in all aspects of the practice. «I cannot talk to the animal, thus communication with the client is most important.» He is going to greet you and spend time with you. Yes, he will handle the business end of things as well, and will ask a fair fee for his services.
