Specialties
We make almost all of our menu items in house with local ingredients whenever possible. From sauces to desserts, our menus are customized with our clients’ dietary, budget, and food preferences in mind. We offer free tastings for events over 100 guests, and for weddings.
History
Established in 1998.
In 1998 we called ourselves Chef Michael’s Pantry, providing personal chef services and weekly meals to clients. By 2001 we had outgrown our kitchen, and incorporated as Chef Michael’s Catering with the leasing of a commercial kitchen. Almost overnight we grew to 6-digits with additional chefs, admin and service staff. In 2005 we opened Chef Michael’s Bistro briefly in East Asheville. By the time 2007 came along, our babies were growing up, and we decided to scale back, while still catering to many of our loyal clients and friends. As luck would have it, a great catering kitchen became available in South Asheville just as we realized our desire was to get back into catering on a full-time basis. And here we are; loving our clients; loving the mountains; loving our lives catering for special events in Western North Carolina!
