Shields Gymnastics School

My first class was amazing! I loved it. My prior experience with everybody there was so pleasing and I was very excited for gymnastics. Mr. Shields is a great teacher. I showed up to my second class all bubbly and excited for gymnastics, and I was greeted by this older woman behind the counter who just had a really rotten attitude. This Woman was very rude and treated me in a very condescending manner from the moment I walked in the door. I wrote a written grievance about this lady and left my name and number on it. Nothing was done about the matter.
It is really a shame because one would think a facility like that would value its clientele experiences a little more, and reprimand this woman, or at least not put this woman behind the counter where she has to deal with people. It really gives Shields a bad name. To this day, I have not heard back. It makes me sad because I really enjoy gymnastics, and because of this cranky lady with zero people skills, I have nowhere to go to for class.

Shields Gymnastics is an amazingly warm, friendly, fun, clean, safe gym. My kids have been going there for three years since they were toddlers and I can’t imagine taking them anywhere else. The facility is impressive (I checked out other gyms and I’m pretty sure Shields is the best around), and the staff is great. They also have Parkour classes and an adult gymnastics class that is the most fun thing I have done in my post-​kids adult life. They also have workout equipment upstairs so you can work out while your kids are in class.
