Dockside Market & Grill

In the warmer weather, this is a great casual hang out on the patio. The seafood is pretty fresh, tasty and prepared well. The owner is very friendly and seems genuinely concerned about everyone enjoying the food and atmosphere. It was very nice to see an owner who really cares about the quality of his food, the cleanliness of his establishment, and the customer experience. Try their salads, the presentation is fun, colorful and tasty.

Decent food, reasonable prices and a clean place.
Small portions but they are priced accordingly. Very nice staff. Their coconut curry sauce is delicious over light fish.

I had high hopes for this place since I’ve heard good things about it. We decided to go last weekend on a Saturday night and the place wasn’t too crowded. The inside décor is beachy and fun and the food was pretty good. We got the fried calamari and crabmeat nachos as appetizers. They both tasted amazing but a bit pricey for the portion sizes. The fish tacos were ok but nothing special. Our server, however, ruined the experience for us as it seemed like she was trying to rush us (waiting at the table for the food to be finished so she could take the plate). It was quite awkward and we overall just weren’t impressed with the service.

The ambiance was okay but the chairs are so uncomfortable. Nothing spectacular with the food, although crab cakes were good.
Lesson learned never order chicken from a seafood place it tasted like wood!!! :l

The food was fantastic. We had sandwiches at lunch and they were as good as you’d get from a top seafood shack down the shore. Sauces were thoughtful and interesting, fries were a step above your normal side, and the fish was perfectly cooked and fresh. Staff was courteous and prompt. Décor and ambiance were interesting and well appointed.

Well priced and everything is cooked perfectly owner is friendly and remembers his customers. I try to get here atleast every other week and have never had a bad experience.

I find it interesting that one person in particular is comparing another from down the street… I have been to both also; my theory doesn’t co-​inside with yours. The food is what matters here and I dont have 2 hours to waste waiting at the other location for a dinner that I feel is eh. touché’ George…

If you don’t mind paying $ 100 (with tip) for a piece of salmon, a crab cake sandwich, a child’s grilled cheese, a cup of soup and an appetizer accompanied by zero ambiance, then Dockside is the place for you! What a joke. Head to Bluefish Grill… Half the price, twice the value!

Incredibly fresh seafood with great service! Our server, Ingrid, made our experience even better with good suggestions and a warm and welcoming attitude!

A truly excellent place for lunch or dinner. My husband and I are here almost weekly. I love the ever changing specials. The soups are always great, and there’s so many different items to try. The seafood is wonderful and fresh. Usually pretty quiet during lunch. Upon reading other reviews about small portions, I disagree. I always end up with a ton of food, and a doggy bag.

It’s an ok place. The establishment is small and nothing fancy but cute. The service is nothing to write home about but looked like a nice place for lunch. The food was alright. It seemed fresh but the portions were small for the price. I did not feel full when I was finished eating. I thought for the price and no frills atmosphere I could have received and larger more adequate meal. Well no bargain here and the food was not worth going back again. Sorry.

I entered a drawing over the summer for a «dinner for 4» from the Dockside grill and won! Last night we decided to go to The Dockside and were very pleased with the entire experience. The waitress was great, the food was excellent and the atmosphere is clean and inviting. From the crab nacho and ceviche appetizers to our main courses everything was fresh and delicious.
Thank you so much for the gift card! I will definitely be back and will spread the word about this great seafood restaurant in Flemington

Food was good, service okay. Some dishes are on the skimpy side (tiniest portion of clams casino I’ve ever had, the menu said six, but probably should have mentioned that they were no more than thimble-​sized!) but others are abundant — Asian Chopped Salad with Shrimp was almost too big to finish.
I think part of the lower rating is because we sat outside in September and the bees were just awful! We literally had to «abandon ship»!!

Good place, good food, great service. A little on the pricey side but that’s to be expected for seafood. I definitely recommend you try it… just not a «knock your socks off can’t wait to go back» kind of place. Love the diversity coming into the area though and ownership seems to be doing a great job growing the place.

I so wanna like this place so I will go back and give it another try. I don’t know when though because once you have a so so experience you’re not really enthusiastic so go back and give it another try.
The place looks new and clean. The décor matches the concept of the menu, looks like it should be next to the shore along Malibu.
I decided to try this place based on the seafood Cobb salad photo someone else posted. I found the potion to be small for the price, it was mostly romain lettuce. I didn’t enjoy the dressing that came with the salad, it had a weird after taste to it.
The service was just ok. She didn’t mess up our order or anything but I felt that she was a bit cold. There was no warmth or friendly vibe coming from her.

Bright and welcoming atmosphere with super fresh seafood. Staff is so nice and accommodating. Very knowledgeable about their menu and eager to make recommendations.
Definitely start the appetizer sampler — calamari clumpy, but fried to perfection — well seasoned and oh so crispy on the outside, but still delicate inside, with two types of baked clam and crab balls — delectable morsels of crab meat.
I had the most perfect seafood Cobb salad — just the right and generous servings of crab meat, shrimp, sliced avocado, egg and tomato. Truly, the best I’ve had!
My companion had the cod, which he declared delicious and quickly devoured.
Homemade chocolate mousse disappeared all too quickly.

Before reading this, please note that I in no way work for this restaurant or even know anyone who works there. I saw this restaurant on Unilocal and decided to give it a shot, being that there aren’t any decent seafood restaurants around this area.
I am a very picky eater. I don’t enjoy most chain restaurants. I love my food. I’m from the shore area and used to have seafood often. Walking in, I noticed the décor was very festive and inviting. They even have an outside patio section which looks very nice.
My girlfriend and I decided to split the Sampler Platter which was unbelievable. Finally, a fresh seafood restaurant in flemington! Calamari was lightly (perfectly) breaded and the 3 clam items were amazing. (Look in pictures). The owner came over and talked to us and couldn’t have been nicer.
I got the seafood Cobb salad and it was delicious. You can tell all of the fish were fresh. My girlfriend got the fish tacos and I’m jealous because they were outrageously delicious.
Overall, awesome atmosphere with fresh, delicious seafood. I am so excited I found a place like this in flemington because usually I have to go down the shore to enjoy food like this.
I really don’t ever write reviews for restaurants. Only if they are overwhelmingly bad or overwhelmingly good. This one is better than good. Definitely give it a shot. Reasonably priced, too !

Calamari appetizer — good, not great.
Fisherman’s Platter was excellent! Perfectly cooked, imaginative mixture of fish. Loved the artichokes! Asian veggies were fantastic, and the side salad was very nice. I was craving key lime pie — they had it and it hit the spot :)
My friend had the salmon — she loved it.
Very good meal, a good value I thought for the price.
Very casual dining atmosphere, could be a little nicer in the tables and chairs — I’m normally not fussy but they just weren’t comfy. But the food — excellent!!! I’ll be back! Highly recommended.

Always love coming g here, great fresh food. The restaurant is very clean and all staff has been good.
Chairs are a little hard for sitting a long time. Outside seating is nice too.
