Ditschman/Flemington Ford

I cannot say enough about the staff (sales, service, & parts) at Flemington Ford. They are great.

They make the buying process very easy and transparent. The service department is incredible, they don’t try to push unnecessary expenses and are very prompt and neat.

Given the very positive buying experience I had with this dealership, I expected the same level of service from the Service Department when it came time to have my vehicle maintained and serviced. I was left, however, quite disappointed with the service department at Ditschman/​Flemington Ford and do not recommend this dealership’s service department for anything beyond basic maintenance, such as oil change or tire rotation. When it came time to address specific issues relating to my vehicle, this service department was incredibly incompetent in diagnosing and repairing my vehicle.
An issue that plagued my vehicle since I took delivery of it was that the fuel tank was not filling up to its advertised capacity of 16.5 gallons. I brought the vehicle in for service for this issue after putting about 450 miles on it, and was told by the service department that this was normal operation after they spoke with the Ford service hotline. After doing a lot of research online and noticing that many others were having the same problem as me, I concluded that there was definitely an issue with my vehicle’s fuel tank (Ford would eventually issue a Tecnhical Service Bulletin (TSB), #13−06−01, concerning this issue a few months later). Determined to have this issue addressed, I emailed Bob Hoffman, the Service Manager, and gave him a detailed account of the problem and a request for help with this issue. I never received a reply from Mr. Hoffman, which made me lose faith in the quality of service I was going to receive from this service department. In fact, I sent Mr. Hoffman three emails regarding this issue in the span of four months and I never once received a reply. In one of the emails, I even provided direct links to the TSBs for the problem I was having, and I still never heard from him. This was not a good first impression from their service department, and I expected much better help coming from the head of the department.
Unfortunately, my vehicle had several problems that I needed to be fixed, including frustrating creaks and rattles emanating from various parts of the interior, an ambient interior lighting issue, and a malfunctioning front speaker. The service department honestly did next to nothing to help diagnose or repair these issues.
During one visit to the Service Department, I was explaining how the ambient interior lighting was not working under the front console portion of the interior, in the cubby underneath the MyFord Touch console. The service person I was working with said that there was no lighting there to begin with, and I replied saying that in the brochure and literature regarding my Fusion Titanium it said that interior ambient lighting was included under the front console. The service advisor laughed in my face and said, «Well, I guess they got rid of the lighting there at the last second.» I was certainly discouraged and annoyed by the lack of concern this employee expressed and the lack of any desire to verify his claim. Fast forward a year and a half later — one night, I started my vehicle and for the first time ever, the lighting under the front console illuminated the space underneath the MyFord Touch console. I could not believe what I was seeing. I had not had the car in for service recently, and definitely did not change any settings to make this happen. The lighting just decided to work. This confirmed to me that the service person had no idea what he was talking about regarding the lighting features of the vehicle, and was not knowledgeable about the vehicle he was servicing.
One of the rattles in the interior was identified as coming from the overhead console/​sunglasses storage unit. After the second repair attempt, I got into my car to see that half of the overhead console was not inserted into the headliner — the tabs were not inserted and the console was clearly not flush with the headliner. This showed me the lack of care and lack of attention to detail that the service department showed towards my vehicle.
To make matters even more frustrating, the console was still rattling. I took my vehicle in again to remedy this issue, and my service advisor, Tom Bisbing, said they would replace the entire overhead enclosure. Now, since I took delivery of the vehicle, I had noticed a small, .75 inch long blemish on the sunglasses holder door. This blemish did not bother me, as I know these parts are just plastic and can get scuffed. What bothered me more was upon taking my car back after Tom told me that the console was replaced, the same exact scuff mark was on the console door. This leads me to believe that the console was not replaced, and I was lied to about the service I was allegedly receiving.
Overall, I was extremely displeased by the lack of adequate service I received for my new vehicle at this dealership.

I paid $ 450 to have my Fusion serviced at Flemington Ford. Two days later there was a squeeking sound when I turned the wheel. Turns out the steering wheel fluid was low and Flemington never even checked the level even though they claim they check all the fluid levels. Called the Service mgr and got no response. Never going back.

Totally pleasant experience, the sales and service staff at Ditschman/​Flemington Ford is fantastic.

We came in to see a certain car advertised on
. Price was correct as advertised and we test drove it without having to give our life stories first. The salesman (David Harry) was very easy going with none of the usual high pressure schtick. We came back the next day and bought the vehicle.
My only slight criticism is that they were a little unprepared with the small incidental stuff. We had to come back to pick up the second key, the manager had to go scurrying for the keypad combination, the paper-​work person was about an hour late for our scheduled appointment (she was dealing with customers who walked in right before our appointment). All understandable stuff, but could probably be avoided with a little forethought.
All in all a very pleasant car buying experience. They would be top of my list for a return visit for our next vehicle.

I had a great experience with this car dealership. After looking into leasing cars at another ford dealership in the area, I went to compare prices here. These guys were totally honest. They gave me the price that was quoted for me on the Ford website, something the other dealership would not do. My monthly payment ended up being almost $ 100 less than my quoted price at the previous dealership. I worked with Mark Schmaling. He was professional, thoughtful, attentive and immediately helpful. Highly recommend!

Brought the car in for service. I took the time to write out everything that needed to be done. They totally ignored a problem that I wrote down. Since it’s not on the service order it doesn’t exist. In the past the same behavior has happened. We’ve also experienced other items breaking shortly after picking up the car.

Our family has bought our vehicles from Flemington Car and Truck country for years. We keep coming back because of the great service! Everyone is very nice, and not pushy at all. I have been to other dealers, and could not wait to leave. I never feel that way at Flemington Ford! If you are looking for a car, this is the place to go.
