Excellent food great atmosphere friendly chefs very entertaining love coming here with my fiancée

Just had the worst experience at this establishment. After constantly passing this place and wanting to try it out I finally did, and I regret it.
I’m not one to write negative reviews, I rather stick to positive ones. But this place just truly upset me.
For starters, I like the inside and outside. It’s nice. And the hostess was friendly. (However I saw her seat another couple a while later and carelessly threw menu’s on the table and seemed more interested in getting back to texting behind the counter) I sat at a table, not the grill. Our server came to us, introduced herself and took our drink orders and a quick sushi order and we never saw her again until it was time for the bill.
The manager and owner had to take our entrée orders and bring our meals because the server was apparently too busy. I didn’t mind any of this at the time. I didn’t really think anything of the service until I realized everyone at the table had an empty cup, waiting on refills which after 15 minutes we finally got the owner to bring to us. (Who by the way was very sweet, so I’m sorry for the negativity, but please hire better staff!)
Still, I figured maybe they were just preoccupied. 5 minutes later our bill comes, very rudely slammed on the table while we never asked for it, and were still eating… and it’s incorrect. AND I find long blonde hair in my food! (No one at or table has blonde hair.) The manager took off the extra sushi rolls (multiple!!!) they had added into my bill which were much pricier than what we even had, and apologized about the hair. That’s it. Just a quick, «oops. Sorry about that!»
When the manager walked away, the server returned and again, was incredibly rude. Snapping at us asking if we were «done» while pointing at the bill, meanwhile I had my wallet in my hand. She saw me ready to pull out a payment method. I certainly was done. I was so over it. Over the rude way of being spoken to and the eye rolling. There’s no reason to be hostile when I just wanted to enjoy Sunday dinner.
** aside from my personal bad experience, I will add that the food wasn’t very savory, it seemed bland. The sushi was decent, nothing fantastic but not bad; although the sushi menu in itself isn’t spectacular.
I will also add that they are pretty over priced. Especially for the quality of food you are getting. Don’t waste your time.

I almost skipped going here because of the other reviews. Our visit was excellent, the food was great and our chef was highly entertaining. We also got a free soda thanks to a Unilocal check in offer. It was Our daughters birthday, so her meal was free (with the purchase of 2 other meals). Service was also very quick, we were in and out on a Tuesday evening in about 1 hour.

The food is not Japanese authentic. Maybe at the sushi area it could be… Did not tried the sushi. The hibachi is a almost OK. Meh where’s the authentic Japanese restaurant in the area? Food here is expensive for what it is. The filet/​chicken/​salmon at the hibachi area at least was fresh and good at the day visited. The restaurant building looks good from the outside. Went to the dining area and I felt like I was in a deep fried Chinese wok restaurant. Unpleasant fried smell in my clothes after left the dinning area.

Food was reasonably good but the restaurant floor was filthy covered with broccoli pieces that, I’m guessing, were missed oral catches. Besides the broccoli there were other forgotten pieces of food on the greasy floor. The hibachi chef was pleasant and entertaining but was slow in coming to start our meal although it was not that busy.
The visibility of the dirty floor left one inevitably wondering about the cleanliness elsewhere and truthfully made a tasty meal a challenge to fully enjoy.

This is for the sushi bar/​area; no hibachi during this visit. Staff was friendly and tried to steer us toward spicy sushi options at our twist but despite our and their best efforts, nothing was bring-​tears-​to-​your-​eyes spicy.
Worth mentioning was the spicy krab (yes, with a K) salad can add some heat to any roll you order if you want to give that a try.
Spiciness aside, the rolls are decent and you will find your usual options. The seaweed salad is ok if you like that, and the edamame is served on the al dente side (can I use Italian adjectives for sushi???).

Pass on this. They are understaffed and the poor wait staff are running their butts off trying to keep up. The place is hot, service is terrible (not their fault– mgmnt should have 2 more servers on than they do) the food is lackluster and uninspired, and we just had some nagiri sushi that was so questionable, I would not be surprised if we’re up all night sick. Seriously, go to Saigon whet the food is fresh, tasty and service is great. We are leaving our server a great tip in hopes she uses it for gas to work somewhere else.

One major issue that i have already had, and my food isn’t here yet. They advertise a «birthday special» on the menu… free dinner up to $ 21.95 value with the purchase of two dinners at $ 21.95 value or more. awesome! We are here celebrating my cousin’s birthday (6 of us all together). They won’t honor it because his birthday was YESTERDAY. Erm… really? Wow. It doesn’t state that it has to *be* his birthday. Oh well… i know where I won’t be having my birthday dinner this year!

The atmosphere and food were absolutely wonderful! Our chef had such a friendly personality. He and our server serenaded us with a song at the end of our meal. It was so nice!
