Established in 1973, Security Service Company is a third-​generation family-​owned and operated company. We are the only combined Honeywell Authorized Dealer and First Alert Professional Dealer in the area. Our highly trained employees provide you top quality, 24-​hour service to ensure the continuous and reliable operation of your security system.

VitalLink is a fast and reliable digital security network. It is a private and dedicated line, which means that your alarm signal reaches our station in seconds. If a criminal decides to cut your telephone lines the alarm signal is still received by us because it is completely independent of outside phone lines, this is why we don’t need a phone line in order to monitor your system.

Our UL listed Central Monitoring station is manned by our own personnel, hired by us, trained by us, and looked after by us. These are real people who do a real important job, for you and for us.

History

Established in 1973.

Established in 1973, Security Service Company is a third-​generation family-​owned and operated company.

Richard F. Long Sr, with his partner Gary Hager, established Security Service Company in 1973.

Since the early 1990’s, SSC has been owned by the Long family. Richard’s two sons, Jim and Ben, as well as grandchildren, Amanda and Ashley and grandson-​in-​law Josh work at SSC.

We have 30 employees, several with over 20 years at SSC.

Jim joined SSC in 2004 to help with operations. Since then we have made many steps to improve our service, installation and sales, working with our talented staff.

In 2009, after 30 years in Allentown, we moved the business and central station to Fleetwood
