Description

Specialties

The State Bar is an all-Arizona beer and wine bar featuring 36 taps of AZ beers and wines, plus Arizona cider and mead.

History

Established in 2014.

The State Bar is Flagstaff’s destination for Arizona-made craft beer and wine (and cider and mead!). After an intensive 11-month renovation of a 130-year-old building on historic Route 66, The State Bar started pouring beer and wine on Arizona’s 102nd birthday — February 14, 2014. Before the renovation, the space was home to the Shane Knight Art Gallery. The renovation was carefully done to preserve the antiqued redwood interior of the gallery, and today artwork still lines the interior walls of the building. The State Bar is also Flagstaff’s home for blues music, featuring many great local and national blues artists.

Meet the Business Owner

Brian W.

Business Owner

Brian Webb is an Arizona native and life-long Arizona resident. In addition to running The State Bar’s daily operations, he also works as a lawyer for a nonprofit in Flagstaff. Having conceived of the idea for an all-Arizona beer and wine bar in 2012, he went to work developing the idea and searching for the right place to build the business. In early 2013, he found a space on historic Route 66, moved in, and went to work building The State Bar. Since its opening in early 2014, The State Bar has been a top destination for craft beer in northern Arizona.
