Peak Sweets and Popcorn

Wonderful donuts. Linda is very nice and cares about her customers. She is planning on expanding the donut operation, so we’ll see how it goes! Would definitely return.

This place is the best for anything sweet! Being from California, we have thrifty’s ice cream everywhere, and now Flagstaff finally has one! On top of the ice cream, they have very good donuts. The owner is very sweet and accommodating to college students. I really like the fact how she accommodates affordable prices with good quality sweets. I’m excited to taste the new desserts that she will be coming with soon, especially the cupcakes!

She is awesome! This place is so yummy! Linda is so nice and super sweet just like the BIRTHDAY CAKE popcorn (best seller). She actually started this company to benefit her two beautiful disabled children and wanted to give her children a chance to work. She is very knowledgable and wants to share information with her customers. She wants to give your taste buds something to be excited about. If you are a tourist passing through or a resident of Flagstaff, i highly recommend Peak Sweets and Popcorn for an after dinner treat or even a meal ;)

I came in to get a small snack and had brought my Service dog with me. I was immediately stopped and denied service because the owner «did not want to get in trouble with the health department» I explained to her that he was my service animal and she demanded that I had to have some sort of identification and that he had to be wearing a vest. Graduating in hospitality and food service I know what you are and are not allowed to ask in this situation. I tried explaining to her that as my service animal and she continue to argue with me saying it was illegal to have animals in a good service industry. When actually the fact that she denied my service and interrogated me about me service animal is intact ILLEGAL. All I wanted was to come in and get a snack and instead I left beyond angry and frustrated with her ignorance. It’s no wonder the place is always empty and there almost no products in their shop. Won’t be surprised if it closed down soon.

Peak Sweets just opened a few months ago, and I can already tell it’s going to be one of my favorite shops! Linda, the owner, is so sweet and kind! She has sampling stations set up so you know exactly what you’re getting before you buy. I tried the birthday cake popcorn and had to buy a bag immediately. It’s AMAZING! I can’t wait to try her other flavors, fudges, and donuts.
Linda is very nice and was happy to share the story of the shop with me during my visit. I was surprised to hear the shop has been there for a few months; I thought it JUST opened. Based on the prices and variety, I have no doubt it will be a popular shop. Her prices are fair; I paid about $ 5 for a big bag of the birthday cake popcorn to share with my staff at work. The flavors, variety, and pricing make it a great gift shop for friends and family, special occasions, businesses looking for marketing gifts, etc. I love it, and can’t wait to go back! :)

This is a small shop that just opened in the Target shopping center of Flagstaff. It’s run by a woman named Linda, and she makes several different snack items. I tried her cookies and cream fudge and sampled her birthday cake popcorn on my visit. The fudge is one of the best I have ever tasted. It was deliciously creamy and sweet, however when I bit into the fudge and cookie together the cookie flavor tended to be overshadowed, which was a detractor for me. I also thought the popcorn was ok too, but I wouldn’t trust my palate on that one since I am not a big fan of popcorn that is sweet, save kettle corn every now and then. This was no different. It was tasty, and tasted like that birthday cake flavor that is so popular. Not really appealing to me personally.
On my visit, Linda was very nice and seems to be very passionate about her craft and providing customer service. She also enjoys talking to people very much, which can add or detract from the experience depending on your personality. However I enjoyed the experience myself.
Why the 4 stars then? Well, the place is still a work in progress, and the owner talked about creating cups of donut holes in the future, and while she has the machine to make it and showed us how it is used, she hasn’t brought her creation to the masses yet. I’m hoping that more people come at any rate, since I have a feeling they would enjoy this place if they could find it. Personally I am hoping she begins to raise enough money to put her donut hole idea into motion because I think that could be an exciting and novel idea.
