Do not eat at the golden bowl in leominster on central st. My wife found big long black hairs in the vegetable dish we got. She’s blonde… gross.

A restaurant should offer two things in my opinion. Good food and a comfortable atmosphere. The food here is actually quite good; however it’s a shame because I’ll never go again and would caution anyone with small children to do the same. My toddler started shaking salt on the table while we weren’t watching … But the owners were and quickly came over to scold us and our children. Really? We’d originally ordered take out but due to bad timing we decided to stay and eat and order additional food. We were scolded for deciding to stay because they didn’t want other patrons to see styrofoam on the tables. I’ve never in my life been scolded by a restaurant for ordering more food and choosing to eat in.

I’ve eaten here twice. First time I had fried rice and chicken fingers and loved it. This last time I got fried rice and ginger shrimp with veggies. There were honestly probably 5 medium size shrimp in my entrée mixed with a heaping portion of veggies. It was not enough shrimp at all. I will come here again and would recommend it however I will not order anymore shrimp plates since the portion sizes are so small .
There are comfortable sit down areas it’s nothing fancy so casual wear is just fine.

I have been skeptical about finding a chinese take out that is decent. Even back in Jersey I could not find the one. I stumbled across this one by mistake on my way out of the urgent care and unable to feed the hungry kids at home.
The best that I have ever had. The eggrolls were huge although hubs didn’t like the crunchy filling, the kids did. Crab rangoon was really good as was the lo mein. I bought the sweet and sour chicken. Unlike other Chinese take out, they seem to have battered up fresh chicken, not cold and hard, and served them up in big pieces. Very fresh tasting, portions were huge.
I will go back again and again. No disappoints here. Now if I could only find New Haven style pizza…

Best Chinese takeout around! Well priced and quick. They even have a pickup drive thru window which is convenient. I get the pad Thai which is really good and they have such good crab rangoons. We all know that’s important.

I was loyal to Fitchburg Jade for the last two years, however after ordering from here and having gotten food poisoning from them, I am extremely impressed with both how fast they delivered to the college and also how good the food was prepared. I will DEFINITELY be only ordering from them from now on. I only wish they were open for delivery later than they are!

Delicious food, we were loyal to another Chinese food restaurant, but once we tried their food we switched. Best crab Rangoon and the portion sizes are great. Decent prices and friendly service. Drive thru is a plus too!

Seriously love this place. Surprised that they have a drive through window… It’s Really convenient. The food is amazing… If you are like me you rate Chinese food off of its egg rolls, crab Rangoon, and their beef teriyaki. I think they are the best around.

I think this place will be my new Chinese food restaurant in the area. Ingredients tasted fresher than most and the Gold Bowl Special Chicken Wings were some of the best I have had from a Chinese food establishment. At first I was skeptical when I received the menu on my door and thought it would be like all the other places in town. I was wrong. The décor of the place maybe lacking, but the food is great. I recommend this place highly for take out Chinese.

Their menu magically appeared in my mail box so I gave them a shot. We’ve gotten delivery twice now. It’s just American Chinese food, but it’s really good American Chinese food. Nothing is greasy, it’s totally yummy. Big portions, fair prices. Best crab rangoons and beef teriyaki ever and the scallion pancake sauce is amazing.

New to Fitchburg, we were looking for a decent chinese take-​out place in proximity to our apartment. We tried the Gold Bowl for the first time last night.
I have no complaints about the place, but it’s nothing out of the ordinary. It’s typical chinese take-​out, exactly what you’d expect from a non-​sketchy place. My boyfriend ordered General Tso’s Chicken, which he enjoyed. I ordered the vegetarian dumplings and a side of steamed brown rice, which I also enjoyed. I always take chances with chinese places, because a lot of them leave me feeling sick afterward, but this place was great — satisfying without leaving me feel like garbage after! The food is ready quickly, which leads me to believe it’s reheated or otherwise not made-​to-​order, or perhaps we ordered food that is typically prepared quickly… but that’s okay, because we got exactly what we were looking for.
We’ll definitely be going back.

The gold bowl offers very good chinese food. I’ve noticed that the food is best when you eat there rather than takeout. Great variety and reasonable prices. The sesame chicken with green beans is excellent. Staff is friendly and offer great service. The place is super clean! Have ordered takeout many times and while very good, is not as good as eating in the dining room. The best part of all, is that they deliver to Ashby! What other chinese restaurant can say that? :-)

You must try this place. It is a little out of the way for most people but once you try it it is worth the drive. Everything tastes fresh! And there is a drive up window for take out. Can’t beat that for late night Chinese food. It is not a big place and does not have the buffet or the lounge. Beer and wine are available. Food and service is great and I am not a huge Chinese food fan. But I have been back several times.
