Fay Club

I LOVE this place. It is a private club so unless you are a member, you will need to come on a special event open to the public or be invited by a member. Once you cross that hurdle you will be embraced like family and made comfortable in the meticulously maintained club. Think hand carved wooden panels and comfy chairs by a fire place. Think old fashioned «men’s club» without the elitist vibe. This is now a favorite spot for women and they throw lots of «women only» events. And they are happy to accept new members. The atmosphere is so warm, inviting and opulent at the same time.
The food is expertly prepared and made to order so if you want to make changes they can. For example, I came here once and wanted a salad but one of the sandwiches was calling out to me. I asked if I could get the sandwich over a bed of greens instead of bread and they had no problem with that. They even recommended a dressing that complimented the salad perfectly.
Prices are very reasonable given the caliber of the food. And I’d say a real bargain when you add in the atmosphere.
