Met my parents here for lunch. They love little one-off places with good, homemade food. This place was perfect… great atmosphere and great food. And the hospitality is wonderful. I loved it so much the first time, I came back a second time within a couple weeks!

Ever since I started my «vacation» in New England, I’ve been craving a great bowl of soup. I am staying in Willington, Connecticut, but I can promise you that this short drive is well worth this incredible, handcrafted food. These guys are the real thing. Absolutely reasonably priced, made from scratch, and the best corn chowder I’ve ever had. After 34 years of doing this they obviously have become the Masters. Though I am based in Louisiana, I will absolutely be back.

Best sandwiches around. This place is just precious. The atmosphere is so cute. The food is homemade and delicious. You have to try the chicken salad and seafood chowder. But honestly everything is great

My wife and I travel to Cape Cod each fall. We stop at Sturbridge for a night or two and always lunch at SOUPTONUTS. This year is no different. We both had the seafood chowder. I commented the I needed to use a fork. It was heaped over the top of the bowl it was so thick. Full of fish. Service was great. We discussed where to have dinner with the waitress who gave us a few hints.

Great place for a healthier lunch option. Chicken tortellini soup is excellent! Many sandwiches, homemade chowder, salads, soups and quiches. $ 35+tip for 2 adults.

Finding It: It’s hard to find this place. The sign out front is nowhere near the door. Both the door and the parking lot are around the right side of the building. Once you’re inside, go to the back right. The entrance is right after the seating. The Inside: It’s nice inside. You eat on what looks like a porch that’s indoors. It’s hard to explain but easy to enjoy. The Food: I had tomato soup, corn chowder, and spinach quiche. The tomato soup was good. It wasn’t creamy, and it had a lot of vegetables(or whatever) added in. The corn chowder was also good. I don’t think it was better or worse than the tomato soup. It had a white base, but it wasn’t thick. I like the quiche as well. I think the eggs had a lot of milk mixed in(or something), but I still liked it. Overall: StN’s food is good and the atmosphere was quaint. I would go back again.

This place hasn’t changed since since I went here twenty years ago and that’s a good thing. I had the chowder/salad/quiche meal for lunch and they were all delicious. Keep up the good work!

Soup to Nuts was recommended to me at a tag sale in town and I was not disappointed. My soup sampler of corn chowder and barley vegetable soup was phenomenal, add a half sandwich Ruben and my meal was simply scrumptious! I wanted to stay and read a bit and the idea of apple and cranberry crisp made my mouth water! Hats off to you Soup and Nuts !

This place is a gem. Everything here is homemade! I ordered the soup and salad and quiche. The lady that was serving us was amazing! The were offering two quiches so she brought me a half serving of each so I could try both. The food itself was outstanding, fresh and delicious! Definitely check this place out and don’t miss out on the homemade desserts!

Unbelievably delicious NE clam chowder. The quiches and salads are similarly delectable. These owners take tremendous care with ingredients and preparation and the results are evident. The restaurant is a little bit hard to find but it is worth the search. It’s in an old mill building that houses various other vendors — and there is ample parking. One word: Go.

My husband and I stopped here for lunch after reading the reviews. We are not from the area. I had their corn chowder, very good, and had sandwich of cranberry walnut chicken salad with ice tea. Everything fresh, delicious. I would try this again.

Me and a friend played hooky from work on a Friday to go fishing. After little luck fishing we found this place on Unilocal and it fit the type of food we were looking for. Walking in to this place you feel at home and comfortable. Vale(I think that’s how it’s spelled) our server was awesome! We ordered the corn chowder, quiche, pastrami sandwich and pasta salad. All of it was excellent! After the meal vale told us about the river behind the building that people fish in. So we tried it out and my friend caught a 14″ trout! LIFEISGOOD!

Love this place! So many great stores have left Sturbridge, but this homey little café with great food still remains. John is passionate about providing great food made daily with fresh ingredients. The crabmeat pocket is my favorite!

The best unexpected lunch experience in my memory. Excellent soup, sandwich and quiche but even more outstanding are Valerie the server/hostess and the cook/owner. Soup to Nuts it TOPSHELF, I can’t wait to go again and I’m 120 miles away.

It’s places like this that really make me appreciate Unilocal.Traveling through Sturbridge for work and looking for a non-chain, non-cookie cutter and healthy lunch, I took a roll of the dice with Soup To Nuts and it didn’t disappoint. The friendly owner helped me with the menu — I went with the soup + quiche + salad combo, which was great for lunch and not overly filling. Everything being handmade, it left me feeling like I got a healthy meal. It was a little hard to find, and you have to go past Subway to get here, but believe me, there are 10,000 other Subways out there. Skip it and give this place a try and you won’t be disappointed.

Small café, easy going, actually serves real food, vs fast food or chain food. Slightly off the beaten path from highway, but nice place to take a break and get some good sandwiches, quiche or soup. Also in a cute little mall( ) so can take a short walk and do some browsing before or after your meal. Our 3 year old likes it too. We’ll be back.

Soup to Nuts has been a Sturbridge staple for 26 years! That is an amazing thing, considering the economy of today. My fiancé and I drove 45 miles during a bad snowstorm on the Mass Pike and we knew we’d eat @ Soup to Nuts. You see, every New Years Eve Day it seems we end up in Sturbridge on the way home to Boston from my parents home in Western Mass. We finally made it to Sturbridge and were so happy to see that Soup to Nuts was OPEN! So many other businesses were closing down due to the snowstorm and maybe the fact that it was New Years Eve. I was so happy to see the owner of Soup to Nuts, John. He was there for us! We were the first customers of the day. He told us that no one had been in the restaurant all day. This saddened me. I mean, I don’t even like sandwiches and yet, I love the turkey sandwich @ Soup to Nuts. My fiancé got a bowl of Hungarian Mushroom soup and I got a cup of the corn chowder. Oh my! Absolutely. Delicious. Just what we needed to warm up! Oh and they serve beer and wine. My fiancé got a nicely poured glass of Chianti and I got a Bass Ale — poured nicely by John. I was so impressed and happy with how welcoming John is. The décor of this place is country. Lots of wooded tables, lots of plaid, lots of charm. The prices are beyond reasonable. I just cannot say enough good things about Soup to Nuts. We know we’ll be back!
