The food was awesome. From the Mac –N-Cheese to the french toast. Management was friendly and nice so was the wait staff.

Good, affordable food. Had the chicken tenders, grilled, with brown rice and carrots. Enjoyable. Wife had grilled fish. Left full with leftovers. All for $ 27 + tip. Service was excellent.

Five star for the Service. Food at just about all Cracker Barrels are the same. They have a recipe and execute it well. Today my wife and I had Mark as our server. He was amazing. He was polite and pleasant throughout the whole experience. There was a slight error but he handled it so calmly and professionally. He really wowed us.

I understand this is not fine dining but this place flat out sucks. Sat forever waiting to get server to take my order and food was very slow to arrive for off time and no crowd. Cashier had a poor attitude, no thank you or how was everything. Apparently he was still confused after having to count out a servers tip twice. Don’t go here plenty of other places to eat in the area

This was the second time eating at this Cracker Barrel. It was«OK» but not a place I would go out of my way to visit. The biscuits and cornbread they start you off with were very dry and a bit on the salty side. The ribeye was cooked well but had no seasoning(not even salt). The sides were«meh» at best. The dumplings tasted as if they came from a Campbells soup can, the hash caserole was dry, thank goodness, because if it were any good I would be upset that I was given exactly two bites worth, but two bites was just enough of this underwhelming side. Maybe they are great for breakfast as the comments seem to indicate. If I am ever in the area around breakfast time I will give them another shot to underwhelm me.

Visit 1: Laurie was our waitress First when we got here there was no one at the hostess stand so we were standing there for a few minutes but someone came over with a smile to seat us. Didnt catch her name. Laurie was polite but hardly checked up on us. And when we did need something we had to ask a passing wait staff! Visit 2. Our waitress jennifer was super friendly and attentive. She made some great recommendations for breAkfast because she saw i was having a tough decision. She could tell my grandpa was hard of hearing so she was patient with him. Food came out great. Always satisfied leaving here!

It was fine but I don’t need to go back. We were there for dinner. Three different entrees with 8 different sides. The only thing I’d repeat is the buscuits. Service was great.

MMM… the most perfect breakfast ever. The food was delivered right out of a magazine looking so picturesque. Sunny side eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, chicken fried chicken, gravy and most importantly those AMAZING biscuits. How I wish I lived closer to a cracker barrel.

When we got tired of the Free complimentary breakfast at the hotel(yes, I understand I said free), what better place than Cracker Barrel to enjoy a good breakfast! We had a 14 hour drive back to Chicago, and we knew we needed a good, well-balanced, breakfast, that would keep us satisfied on the road. We practically got there when the place opened, so there weren’t many people having breakfast. Our waitress was excellent. She was very kind and attentive to our needs, and immediately served us coffee. My girlfriend and I both got the breakfast sampler, which comes with eggs, bacon, sausage, ham, hash-browns, biscuits and gravy, AND a side of apples. Thats a whole lot of food, but we couldn’t of been happier with our selection! Everything was well-prepared, and extremely delicious. It was so fulling, that for lunch I snacked on something small because I was still full from our breakfast. Service was good. Food was good. And I was even entertained while we waited for our food with their Peg Board Game!

Dine or Ditch? Dine… worth risking your life crossing the highway for it This review really stands in for virtually all Cracker Barrels nationwide. Walking in, you are greeted by a trip down Americana memory lane. They have old time candies, glass bottles of coke, and odd nicknacks that you can pick up for your journey… wherever. On to the food, «there really is only one dish you need to get… the grilled chicken tenderloin dinner that comes with three sides. Now the reason I say this is because there is no chicken that parallels in terms of flavor, moisture, and taste. It would be a shame not to try it. I’ve been frequenting Cracker Barrel’s around the US for at least eight years now and this meal has never failed me.» Literally a passionate plea/demand from Jenna(the co-brainchild of our reviews). «As far as the sides go the carrots, sweet potato(no butter or sugar needed!), and apple sauce are the three most quality sides… but you really can’t go wrong. And to top it all off, I kid you not, a slice of the coke-cola cake to wash it all down with.» — Also, a demanding quote… she may or may not have a gun to my head… she is THAT passionate. It’s a little scary. The biscuits are amazing, especially with the apple butter. Don’t waste your time on the corn bread. Overall, it may not be your idea of a typical night out, but it’s by far the best quality and caliber highway food available.

1st time being to this one. Had a good experience. 5 min wait for table. Service was excellent. Food is good and def affordable. I like this place for the breakfast and for country fried steak. Most of the sides are bland to me but the Hashbrown casserole is delicious! Friends liked the grits and biscuits with apple butter. All Cracker Barrels have the gift store in the entrance– has cool items ranging from candy to themed items, Yankee candles and decorative pieces. Worth the look esp when ur waiting for your table

We are on vacation so I picked this place because I knew my husband would enjoy the home style southern food. He said the menu is authentic but the taste is not. Everything was missing a robust seasoning that we were expecting. I enjoyed the food though. I ordered the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes, corn, and fried okra. The chicken was good but the sides were forgettable. The biscuits were amazing. So good! The children ordered pancakes and those were actually the best items at the table. Seriously. The service was excellent and very warming. Our server was Liz and she was especially delightful. She had the kind of personality that can make anyone feel like a best friend. That made us all feel really comfortable and happy about our experience. She was very attentive and she even offered me a sample of a menu item I was debating to order. She was great :) Thanks for everything :)

This time around the Chicken fried steak was gross. The steak fries limp and greasy . Okra perfect Mac n cheese perfect. It’s a commercial establishment, it’s almost impossible to give any chain 4 stars. That chicken fried hamburger(Steak) I’ll never order again, they downgraded on this one. I never had an issue with bad service here. My only gripe service wise is the policy of giving you the Tab while your eating. I actually hate that.

Cracker Barrel is affordable, southern style«home cooking» where the majority of the menu is probably not the most healthiest of choice. They’re trying to fix that by offering more grilled items, such as fish and chicken, and even salads. I know getting the fried chicken tenders with potatoes and gravy and fried apples isn’t the best choice, but where I come from the closest CB is 5 hours away in Phoenix, AZ and to me, the CBOCS is a treat! Paige did a decent job as our server. She refilled our drinks and was friendly enough. It’s a great place for comfort food, and it’s my favorite part. its affordable! A entrée with 2 sides is about $ 8, and you can get biscuits and/or cornbread with the meal. It’s my go-to place when I’m outside California!

Some of the portion are small but overall it’s a very nice and tasty place to be with family and friends or even a nice breakfast date. The food is very good, again the small portions are our only disappointment.

Fun, fun, fun! Where to begin? I loved everything about my experience there. It was my first time at cracker barrel and i am certainly going back. I went for lunch with my family and its just so quaint and charming. The shop had such cute odds n ends i wanted to buy it all. The place was packed and food was yummy. I especially enjoyed the variety and the food pairings they have. I ordered a chicken salad that came with half of a toasted blueberry muffin and 2 slices of cheese. Ate the whole thing. If you’re debating a visit, just go for it. If the day is nice out, you can enjoy your wait seated outside in one of the many rocking chairs.

This place is the definition of comfort food. They make the best sweet tea I have had in NY(and I have had authentic sweet tea in the south a number of times), and have some real delicious grits, fried okra, and other southern specialties. They are very accommodating to children, and it’s hard to resist their fantastic gift shop that always has some fantastic, unique items that are fantastic for kids, big and small. My only gripe, albeit minor, is their sometimes inattentive or slow waitstaff. It is difficult to order sometimes, and even more difficult to request anything additional with your meal. But for the price that you pay — and honestly, it is insanely cheap — it’s really hard to get too picky. I love cracker barrel!
