All i can say is wow!!! after Mavis tire tried to rip me off again i was referred to John & knew right away he was my new repair shop His business has been family owened & operated for over 45 yrs and i can see why. He brought my car right in & cofirmed i did not need the work Mavis tried to sell me with their scare tactics, (he didnt even charge me to check my car out!!)! plus they dont have cameras or inexperience commissioned mechanics, Each one of John’s highly skilled technicians has a minimum of 20 yrs experience !!.Go to C & V like i did and you will also be very happy & recommend them to friends and family like i have

So excited to have found this gem of a place about a month ago! Well my mom found it and we set up an appointment for an oil change along with an inspection. Prior experiences with mechanics and their money stealing diagnosis on issues that they don’t even end up curing correctly really made this little shop on the corner pop! The owner made this process feel homey and professional. Thanks so much guys and sorry for the late review! Winter is coming and I can’t wait to be back there.

I have taken my daughter’s car for service at C&V three times already for various issues. It is an older car that needs some TLC. John and his staff are fantastic. John is extremely reasonable, fair, and friendly. His work is prompt and on time. When the work is done, my confidence level is definitely up. He has made my daughter and myself two very happy campers. I definitely recommend John at C&V Auto.

These guys are real heroes. Was passing through town on my way upstate, and ended up screwing up my bumper real bad. Thought I had to call my weekend a wash, however these guys were able to work their magic and remedy the bumper so I could continue on my way within the hr. also, there pretty chill guys too.

These guys are top notch! Went in for a wheel bearing issue and an oil change… left with a host of other necessary repairs… YIKES! But today it was raining «cats and dogs» on my daily commute to Westchester and I would be remiss if I didn’t take the time to say «thanks» to both Steve and John because I felt so safe on the road with the recommended repairs! I will be back for sure!

Had new tires, breaks fixed, new battery, John was great ever give me a ride home and pick me up when my car was finished good price for work done, definitely not a chain shop, can’t say enough about this family business I will be back, nice to find someone honest !!!

While I lived in Wappingers, this mechanic was my go to place. John is incredibly nice, honest and helpful. When my car was rear ended John recommended a body shop to me and everything came back beautifully. Every time I needed regular maintenance John and his team did a spectacular, speedy job and kept me up to date on things that may need future maintenance. I cross-​checked his prices several times and every time CV’s were competitively low.
Eventually I had to leave Wappingers and needed to drive my car to all the way to California! John gave my car a full once-​over, fixed all the minor problems that could turn into huge problems on such a big trip, and I made it to California with smooth sailing. I really miss having such a great local mechanic!
Just yesterday I brought my car to the dealer in Cali in order to get a problem fixed. They also did a full inspection on the car for 60,000 miles. Everything came back green. The dealer verified all the work and maintenance CV did on my car for the last ~60,000 miles was well done and kept the car in good health.

My family and I had car trouble on the Taconic Parkway, headed up to Massachusetts from NYC. NO ONE in the area would take a look at our car on a Saturday, but John and his team sized up the problem, had the parts delivered in, and we were on our way in less than 2 hours. Completely saved our weekend, and the car seems to run so much better.
