I’m so sad this place closed! I love their food and drinks. And the atmosphere was great, a mini vacation from the norm… So sad…

I am definitely going to miss this place. The menu did change for the worse during the past couple of years, but as a Parrothead, it was definitely a place I felt at home! I started an employee, helping to open the Bloomington store, and stayed a fan long after I hung up my grass serving skirt. Tons of great memories and fantastic people to work for. Sad day for all the CIPers. Best wishes and I will hold all the memories made and the Dockside burger close to my heart. ;)

I really would avoid this place in the future – which is soooo sad, because it used to be our favorite place! We ALWAYS got the jamaican chicken wrap(sometimes, the hubby would get a burger). They are always changing the menu and finally they have ruined this item. Changed it, removing some of the good stuff and watering down the aioli sauce on it. Our waitress was good but our food took 30 minutes probably and she never checked in on us during that period of time. With a baby, this is just not acceptable. Usually, it’s really quick service so we thought it’d be a great place to take a little one… sounds like the place is going downhill. We will never go back.

Came to this place two times in one week when I discovered it. The atmosphere is beautiful especially outdoor in a sunny day. The burger choices caries to match any taste. I can’t remember what I tried but it was the one with banana sauce. I never thought I would like a burger with banana but I did!

What an awful experience! We had 8 people in our party, on what looked to be an incredibly slow Sunday night. We we’re sat right away, but it took 15 minutes and a chat with the hostess to finally get a server. Our server just seemed off her game, but she wasn’t horrible. The real problem was how incredibly SLOW the food was! We waited 2 hours to get our food and half of the people had COLD entrees. The manager gave us free chips, dip and desserts, but after 2 and a half hours of waiting with an exhausted baby, I decided that we would avoid this restaurant in the future.

Worst service ever. I have been sitting for 90 minutes and not received my food. It took 45 minutes just to get my beer. I would walkout if I didn’t have a date making my night much more enjoyable. Wait. Food here now. Cold and wrong order. This is embarrassing. Never ever coming back

Man, this used to be one of my favorite cheeseburger places until they changed the menu. I used to order the same thing, the namesake Cheeseburger in Paradise, just like the song. However, they have now changed it into some abomination that has pulled pork on it and got rid of the wife’s favorite pressed burger, too. At least the onion six strings were still good but I probably won’t be going back any time soon.

This is my company’s watering hole. Décor: Cheeseburger in Paradise looks kind of tiki-ish to me(in an 1980’s kind of way). We got here late at night(around 10:30) for drinks. I came here with«the boys» to watch the NBA finals Game 2. The staff are all really cool(especially Rachel). But there was an odor in the air and I couldn’t quite put my finger on it, but my colleague and I thought standing water, or sewage water… Ewww! I’m just glad we didn’t eat there. There quite a spectrum of people there from suits to guys you might think were borderline homeless, but everyone was pretty cool. Overall I had a decent time chatting with Rachel and other bar flies. Plus, I was able to «walk» back to my hotel!

We had a great experience here– excellent service! The frickles(fried pickles) were delicious and a generous portion. We enjoyed getting to choose our pops from the Coca Cola Freestyle menu on the table. My sandwich was tasty– it was pulled pork with pineapple slaw on top– the slaw was especially good and so unique and fun. I liked the sweet potato chips. My husband really enjoyed his crab cake sandwich and thought it was almost too big but ended up to be just right. The fries were skinny and lightly seasoned. They have a cute kids menu and the meal comes on a frisbee– our young cousin so excited! They played fun music through the meal and had TV’s at every table(but ours seemed to be having a problem– we didn’t really get it. Overall, a very good experience!

I love Cheeseburger in Paradise. I have had many items from their menu ranging from burgers, pretzels, wings, and chips and dips and have never had a problem with any of them. Additionally their bartenders are excellent. They have wonderful drink prices and the drinks are always tasty. The atmosphere matches it’s name and is very festive. They even have live entertainment!

We tried to utilize the call ahead feature but still waited 20 minutes. The Frickles were delicious and the Calapyso Salad rocked. Jim enjoyed his Agave & Cilantro Chicken. and Dewayne got some ice cream on the house for his birthday =]

Keeping this one simple: 1) Burgers(main concept) — the quality was clearly up to par(4⁄5 for Kobe burger) but I did get well done when I had ordered medium well) 2) service was also friendly and prompt — even offering(maybe facetiously) to refund my meal. I declined but figured I should mention it. Being slightly overcooked but still quite tasty I simply enjoyed my meal.(3⁄5) 3) environment /décor /ambiance: lots of waitresses standing around talking and not really doing much. Décor was dated and a bit cheesy — tiki bar? Maybe more targeted to family events with kids? Externally very unappealing as well.(2⁄5) So in summary a 3⁄5 with room for some easy improvement. Good burgers + beers make this a very good method to avoid bk/mcd’s.

I visited during the Friday lunch hour with about 10 coworkers. It wasn’t busy at all so we got seated right away. Unfortunately, I can’t speak to the alcoholic beverages… but the water was good. I wasn’t in the mood for a burger so I got the grilled mango chicken wrap with fries. It was delicious. Others at the table got fried pickles, chips and queso, fish and chips, and burgers. Everybody loved their food, especially the fish and chips that appeared to be fresh breaded. My only complaint is that it took forever to get our food and then to get our checks. It ended up being nearly a two hour lunch. If you have the time, it’s worth it!

CiP is a 3.5 star restaurant. The bar has plenty of TVs and even some of the booths not in the bar have tiny TVs at the table if you want to hangout with friends and watch a game and get some food. Some of the main reasons I love CiP is that they have a separate GF menu which has GF buns; they are GiG trained; and they have a dedicated fryer, so I can eat fries. The server and food is generally pretty good. I am not a fan of the GF buns in general, so I normally just get the burger without the bun. Their drinks are pretty good as well. They have a full service bar and their specialty drinks which are good after a long day at work.

Wow! I love cheeseburgers! CiP is a great place to hang out with your family or friends. The service is decent at this location, and the food is pretty darn good. Each time I have been I have gotten a different burger, and I have yet to be let down. The nachos appetizer is super cheesy, but pretty good. All being said, I would recommend this joint to anyone. It looks like I need to try some of the bar’s offerings now.

OK, I’m not going to review the food cuz to be completely honest, I didn’t have any. This review is for the bar! We bellied up here mid-day during the week after some«team building». Mamma needed a drink REAL bad and they had ‘em! The staff was super friendly. The bartender was very nice and attentive. The drink selection is awesome. You’ve got your standard bar stuff and a host of unique cocktails. I had some(read: MANY) spicy berry sangrias. Holy Sangria! It was(honestly) the best I’ve ever had. NOMNOMNOM!(can you say nom nom nom for drinks?). If you’re looking to have a drink with a friend or just watch the game(s), swing by Cheeseburger in Paradise. I hear they also have food to absorb the alcohol :)

Even with the recently scaled down menu(which is likely just to make sure the food still on the menu is even higher quality), their choices are great and while I’ve tried almost every category of food, their turkey burgers are my favorite, especially with all the awesome toppings you have the option of adding. Their drinks are also delicious and there are so many toppings to choose from! They have the coolest bartender in the evenings, too, that can toss and juggle drinks without spilling a drop, all while busting hilarious jokes with a smile on his face. When it’s nice out, the outdoor seating is awesome, especially when they have a live band. This place is almost as cool as Jimmy Buffett himself and I’d reccommend it to anyone wanting a delicious and fun dining experience! :)

If I were reviewing this place on drinks alone, I think there may have been more stars awarded. Their drinks are a work of art! Wonderfully tasty pina coladas and other concoctions thoughtfully served with fruit garnish. Cute fruit, at that! However, their food leaves something to be desired. The Onion Strings were okay as an appetizer, and their veggie burger was rather meh. My biggest issue is that their plates and glasses had a bit of an odor to them. I don’t know how to explain this without sounding crazy, but I have a sensitive sense of smell, and I have found that the dishes at some restaurants have a lingering odor. This has happened at home with my personal dishes, and my husband has found that it has something to do with how the water dries on the pieces — and maybe with the local quality of the water. When we were served our water glasses, I noticed the smell right away and the taste of the water even seemed off. The same odor was on the other plates that came out. To be fair, no other members of my party noticed anything, so it is just me and my extreme pickiness. Based on the variety of the menu, I would probably only go back if I were tempted by their drinks.

They are having a 10-yr anniversary today. If you are there at 8PM tonight, you can enter their raffle. I got the chicken nachos appetizer. I can definitely taste the buffalo flavor after a while. It was not my best choice. I had other food there. Really liked the sweet potato chips and broccoli and turkey burger. Usually have live music. This guy could be better.

I finally had an opportunity to stop here for lunch a few days before Christmas 2011. We were greeted at the door by a friendly hostess and were seated immediately. The waitstaff(more than one) made sure we were served and our drinks remained filled. This is my favorite place for wings in Indiana. The Tequila Lime Wings were so tasty and they allowed me to order all flats, no questions, no excuses, no upcharge. Yay! The portions were plentiful and you can’t go wrong with Endless Fries. I definitly will be back the next opportunity I get.
