Not sure what happened to this place. It has become busy and also bad. We were very disappointed with the Biryani. When we used to order Veg biryani… there used to be potato, cauliflower, carrots and other veggies. Now he just puts the frozen veggies which has corn in it and the taste sucks. Biryani is over cooked and is not spicy.

I really liked this place. I went with the Indy International Supper club and so they brought in a number of tables for us. It is definitely a carryout or place to come for food. Don’t even worry/consider the ambiance. The food was great. We had mutton biryani, chick pea curry, greens, chili chicken, garlic and plain naan, a very nice raita and some wonderful little lamb chops. Everything was great.

I have been to this place on 05/16/2012, because of the reviews and yes this place offers a good biryani, but not that great. I ordered a biryani, haleem and thumbs-up. The haleem was may be three days old and it was not even heated properly. The thumbs-up which I ordered expired in June 2011 and when we informed the owner about it, he seems to be least bothered. He did’nt even say sorry. The ambience sucks, and I would never go to this place just because everything here was suspicious like the toor dal packet had also expired and they did not even bother to remove that.

My search for the best Chicken biryani across the oceans Brought me to this hole-in the wall. Do not let the location(inside a grocery store and ambience fool u.(according to me it’s more of a take out place rather than a dine in) Nor should the limited but solid menu deceive u. If u are looking for some chicken biryani that will make u crave for some more… If u are the health freak that goes nuts looking at a huge amount of oil. I wud suggest taking a bite before u judge the food. It’s greasier than the regular stuff u find at most places. Move over Amber and India sizzling, Bombay Bazaar has arrived!

I love to make curries and I come here for all my spices! Great selection! The staff is super nice and helpful… I honestly don’t buy much else here but for curry powder and what not, this place is wonderful! Go there, talk to the staff, ask them questions… I promise, if you enjoy cooking you will get some great ideas! I know they do sell prepared food here but I would classify this place as a grocery store. Just an FYI, in case you were looking for a restaurant.

This place is actually a grocery with a butcher shop in the back but they also have a little kitchen. The food is simply great. There is NO décor or atmosphere here but that to be expected as this is NOT a restaurant but rather a take-out place. My suggestions are the signature chicken kadahi and chicken tikka masala. You’ll lick fingers long after you’re finished eating! And hey, you can always shop for some Indo/Pak groceries while you are here. And for my Muslim friends, they serve 100% zabihah halal food items.

Pretty good selection of all the standard things you see in most Indo-Pak(Indian /Pakistani) stores. They also sell prepared meals(Indian/Pakistani cuisine) for take-out. Very helpful owner. As far as I know, this is the only Indo-Pak grocery in Fishers.(Though the next closest one is on Allisonville Rd, just S of 96th St.) Bombay Bazaar is located on the south side of 116th St. Across the street from Kroger. They should probably have a 116th St address, not Fishers Landing. Anyway, they are next door to Volcano restaurant. They are directly behind(south of) the Gas America gas station. Even if you are just shopping for an American kitchen, you’ll find large packages of staples here, often at better prices than at Kroger/Marsh. Spices, beans, rice, flour come in large containers at good prices. They have regular, basmati, and jasmine rice. They have durum wheat for making pasta, and I use it to make yellow bread. I once bought a 3 liter jug of extra virgin olive oil for only $ 29.95 here. Items include canned goods, dry packaged, refridgerated, and frozen. They are very proud of their fresh halal meats: beef, goat, lamb, and chicken. Custom cut to your order. The owner said their chicken comes from Amish farms, so it is probably hormone-free, to boot. Hours: Tues-Sat: 11 to 8pm. Sunday: Noon to 7pm. Closed Mondays. Since they sell take-out meals(but no dine-in) I’m going to suggest adding Restaurant-Indian and Restaurant-Pakistani to their categories.
