Dairy Queen is known nationally for one of a kind soft serve ice cream treats, a great selection burgers, and our famous chicken strip basket to name just a few. Our hot dog was voted Franklin Co., VA’s best hotdog in a contest organized by the local retail merchants association.
In addition, we here in Ferrum, VA are also known for our breakfast with made from scratch biscuits. Our signature biscuit is the hand breaded country tenderloin biscuit, and no breakfast at DQ is complete without our sausage gravy and egg biscuit.

Business Owner
Arrington Enterprises was founded in 1965 by L.D. and Ruth Arrington, starting at Hugh’s Drive-Up Snack Bar here in Rocky Mount, VA. L.D. purchased his first Dairy Queen on December 1st, 1970.
In the 45+ years we have grown to employ over 200 associates with three generations of the Arrington Family actively involved in day to day operations. We currently operate 4 Dairy Queen Restaurants, 3 Bojangles’ Restaurants, and 1 Exxon Convenience Store.
