This family owned restaurant is awesome! My family was starving after driving 5 hours and everything in Ferndale was closed(it was Monday night), and this placing was closing up. They reopened for us, were extremely friendly, and the food was fantastic. I highly recommend this place. Also, for the record, the pie was fantastic. The very berry pie was amazing!

Not only pie but everything!!! One stop shop for breakfast, lunch or just a late snack! This place has it all. It’s all very fresh and the staff is probably the best around, they make you feel very welcome and they put there heart and soul into everything they bake! Truly the best restaurant in Ferndale hands down!

I take me three daughters here every Friday morning before school, they each get a doughnut. We call Friday’s «doughnut Friday» in our house. I give it four stars for the very friendly service we receive. The doughnuts are not made in house, but it’s s wonderful ritual for our family to stop in here. The owner is a very friendly woman, and she is always warm and welcoming. In all honesty I have not tried her pies yet. Will do soon ! But you can’t meet a nicer lady. It’s good place to grab an ice cream or small bite to eat.

The nicest lady served us a delicious piece of apple pie and gave us utensils and napkins to enjoy it later. They were friendly and the pie is super good. Will totally go back if we ever drive through again.

Eegads, I feel like a pie snob. Stopped in specifically for pie on a cold and grey day to find a gloomy shop with all sorts of baked goods available. By gloomy, I mean, it felt like a temporary place, cold, not very warm and inviting. My mister and I split a slice of peach pie and ordered up two cups of cocoa. The pie slice was smaller than expected. The filling was really good, not too sweet or jelly-like(which is how we like our pies). The crust could use some work. Had no oomph and was a lackluster color which made the pie slice not as appealing. We were a little disappointed but then again, maybe we are just pie snobs(my mister makes a mean apple pie and I make a mean peach). The cocoa however was really good. I’m not sure what brand they use but it was a darker chocolate, rich and piping hot. Folks behind the counter were really nice and after we arrived it got really busy.

Really good berry pie. Not too sweet and a nice thin crust. I it was almost as good as our homemade pie.

Great local spot for pie and ice cream. Homemade pies, locally made fresh donuts, and ice cream! How could you go wrong?! The place is right on Main Street, in historic Ferndale. I love that places like this still exist. I will come back for sure on our next trip to Ferndale!

The restaurant is true to the town itself — a throwback to another era. The cherry pie was delicious, served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. We also had the brownie a la mode, which was super rich and HUGE. For the brownie, one is enough for 2 people. The kids couldn’t finish theirs.

I tried the chicken pot pie. The veggies tasted like frozen veggies; the chicken was dry and over cooked and the crust and sauce did not have much flavor.

While on our road trip my mother and I drove out to Ferndale for their Fourth of July celebration specifically because we wanted to come here for pie. First of all Ferndale is totally worth the detour it is probably one of the cutest towns we saw driving from San Francisco to Seattle. Now the pie. Oh the delicious delicious pie. In Hawaii we really don’t get fresh pies let alone berry pies. This treat was one of the highlights of our trip. Thinking about it back at home makes me want to go to Ferndale for a getaway weekend to hopefully be able to bring a pie back. I definitely recommend taking a day trip to Ferndale and exploring their cute shops and Victorian houses and getting a piece of pie à la mode!

We came by the next afternoon and I was able to get my slice of cherry pie, warmed up and a large scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. Yummmmm. My wife had a bowl of homemade chicken noodle soup(one of had to be sensible)

Super cute Pie Shop in an even cuter town. Seriously if you stumble upon the town of Ferndale stop in and grab some pie and a brownie. On Saturday mornings it is one of the few places that opens before 10am. We picked up a whole peach flake, 2 pieces of cherry pie, and a brownie to go. The brownie is the size of an ipad and should probably be eaten in a few sittings. It was awesome at room temp and warmed up. The pie crust is the best part! The fillings are great but the crust was spot on. Slap a scoop of vanilla ice cream and go to town!

Seriously, I would travel back to Ferndale, just for more of this fantastic pie! On a whim, and because I’m a Unilocaler, I stopped in to pick up some bakery items and to make sure I Unilocaled as much of Main Street as I could. The pie called to me from its case. It looked so fresh and home made. My mouth watered looking at it. So with the excuse I’d bring it to work, sorry ladies, I bought an apple pie to take home with me. The pie was tart, full of cinnamon and spice, and was absolutely, utterly, perfect. I hadn’t planned on coming back to Ferndale for another couple years, but this pie ladies and gentleman, this pie is making me seriously reconsider. Please let me know if they start shipping!

Best peach pie ever! Actually ended up in Ferndale, CA because I took the wrong exit off Hwy 101 on the way to our favorite cheese store in Loleta. So glad that I got lost because we ended up in the quaint Victorian style town of Ferndale. Saw Ferndale Pie Company, and I knew I had to try the place. We walked in and were greeted by two nice ladies who were very helpful. I ordered their Apple Crumb pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It tasted very good. I am a fan of Marie Callender’s pies, and Ferndale’s apple crumb pie tasted better! I really enjoyed the crumb crust topping. 4 stars for the Apple Crumb pie! I also tried one of their donuts. It was a custard filled chocolate donut. It tasted decent, but I was not a fan. I think the girl mentioned that they do not make the donuts there. The pies are made at this bakery though. My wife went with the girl’s suggestion. The Peach Crumb pie(warmed up) with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. My wife and I both agreed that it was the BEST kind of peach pie that we have ever had! In fact, it was probably one of the best slices of pie of any kind that we have ever eaten! Ferndale Pie Company will now be always included in our itinerary whenever we visit Northern California. They are that good!!!

My mom and I took a road trip up CA in May and spent a few days in Ferndale!(For a quiet town EVERYONE was so nice, especially the family that owns this pie company!!) The best cherry pie I have ever had in my life and you can’t forget the scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. It’s to die for! We are definitely coming back, if not for the amazing hospitality, for the pie! They also had really good chicken pot pie and chili cheese fries! It’s a must go!

I asked them to give me a slice of their best pie. $ 4.50 later, I had a warm piece of apple berry crumble pie in front of me, and was happy to be eating something sweet in this cute Victorian town. But, I wasn’t at all happy with the quality. I have had better slices of pie at Marie Callender’s. For $ 4.50, I expected something a bit tastier, especially from a place with pie in their name. Bottom line: The pie isn’t worth the stop, although Ferndale is truly a cute little town with some beautiful Victorians.

Made a quick drop in for some breakfast. Everyone ordered a breakfast burrito and they were made fresh to order. For five bucks, these were a steal. The pies in the case looked awesome, but unfortunately we were in a hurry and didn’t have a chance to try one, but on looks alone, they appear to be very tasty and fresh. The one thing that stood out for me was this place had very nice customer service. During our trip we came across a few establishments that treated the tourist differently sometimes quite rude, but not here. The couple behind the counter were very friendly. If you are ever in this next of the woods, please stop in, places like this sometimes are worth it for the smile on your face alone.
