Breasts R Best (BRB) is a private lactation consulting business owned by Patty Hiestand, RN, BSN, IBCLC, a maternal/​child home health care nurse with more than 25 years experience helping new moms and babies — and the wonderful dads that support them — get off to a healthy start.

Meet the Business Owner

Patty H.

Business Owner

Born in the midwest and raised in Indiana and Wisconsin, Patty received her BSN from Marquette University’s College of Nursing and, since 1998, has worked as an international board-​certified lactation consultant. She is a member of the United States Lactation Consultant Association. After working as a mother/​baby nurse and lactation consultant in the Washington, DC-​area for more than a decade, she moved near beautiful Bellingham, Washington, the City of Subdued Excitement as locals like to call it, in 2003, where she worked as a lactation consultant and mother/​baby nurse and nursing supervisor for OptionCare Home Health (and its subsequent purchasers) until 2014 when she began Breasts R Best. She currently lives in Ferndale, Washington, with her BRB-​friendly husband, two daughters, two dogs, and a horse.
