History

Established in 2005.

The year 2000 was when I started to study herbal medicine and it has become a life long journey. We planted the lavender field in 2005 and I started to incorporate lavender and other herbs into many of my handmade items and began taking them to Farmer’s Markets, Bazaars, and events. Although this is a small business, it has continued to evolve and improve. We make herbal products that we find helpful for common problems such as bee stings, rashes, eczema, sun burn, etc. Our soaps are infused with herbs as well and made only from pure vegetable oils. Now my products are mostly for sale out of my little shop and in addition to the soaps, salves, and other herbal products I have added quilts, wool and chenille jackets, bags, and some seasonal products.

After 25 years working in medicine, I became interested in alternative health care and started studying herbs and herbal medicine making. I took a class from Jeannie Rose, an herbalist in San Francisco that has been teaching herbalism since the 60’s. I continued to seek out herb courses, collect herb books, grow and experiment with herbs and learn as much as I could about the use of herbs. Currently, I am making herbal salves, soaps and oils that we as a family find helpful. I like to research new remedies and try them but only continue to make the ones that we all use consistently.
