The Manager for the Salon Alicia called me and spoke to me about my issues and offered me a refund and was very friendly and apologetic. Alicia and the district/​regional manager were there when i went to get my refund yesterday. Alicia was again very nice and professional. The other manager seemed to not be so friendly and made some comment of how strong my daughter was… idk if that was in reference to her going to therapy both speech and physical and not really believing what i said to be true but it sure felt like it. My daughter is strong because of the work we’ve done for 5 months and can move her head any direction now thank you and chokes alot less now but still has to have a procedure done thank you but she wouldn’t know anything about that since what my daughter has is very rare so maybe she should just stick to working at Ulta. Alicia was the best part of this experience. You can tell she is genuinely nice and cares about the clients. I hope she moves on to even bigger and better things. More people in this world should be like her!

I called the Salon today with an emergency hair appointment. I had gotten a very bad hair dye at another salon and needed to get it fixed ASAP. I called and got an appointment later today with Jessica. Jessica did such an amazing job it was exactly what I wanted. I am so so happy that I got her. She was so nice and took the time to hear what I wanted and the result is amazing. I am kicking myself for not ever going back to Ulta. I was so so impressed and happy that they were able to get in me last minute and for the job that Jessica did. I have already made my next appointment and won’t be going anywhere else!

It seems to me they don’t care about customers unless you are thin and perfect looking.

Ulta is the best of Sephora and Beauty Brands.
Like Beauty Brands, they have a salon and hair products. They have $ 3.50 off $ 10 purchase coupons available online and in mailers. However, they’re quite a bit larger than Beauty Brands.
Like Sephora, they offer lots of premium makeup. Unlike Sephora, they’re not located (inconveniently) in malls.
They also offer some brands that are available at stores like Target. I really like this because it saves me a trip to Target.

I went there to buy a chelating shampoo to help with the hard water buildup on my hair. Ended up talking with a salon manager who was very knowledgeable and I ended up coming back to get a cut with Jessica. I also got a clarifying treatment which totally fixed my hair! My cut is awesome and I’m very happy with her and will be back.

I had been getting my hair done at this salon for almost a year now with no complaints, but on August 31, 2015 I had a completely different experience. The Master Stylist I usually see is no longer with the company so I got put with Evonne and that was the beginning of the END! Long story short, I went in for a routine root touch up and a hair cut/​trim. FOUR HOURS LATER, yep you read that right 4 HOURS LATER (no cut either just color) I left with severely damaged hair that was FRIED at the roots and tips. To top it all off they even charged me for the train wreck job they did… but they gave me 20% off, woohoo. It was THE WORST hair experience I have ever had in the past 10 years I’ve been going to salons. Also, not one, not two, but THREE people had to work on my hair because Evonne did not know what she was doing and she was DOUBLE BOOKED. I had scheduled this appointment 3 months in advance mind you which apparently didn’t make a bit of difference. If you have healthy hair and you don’t want it to be severely damaged and you don’t want to have breakage than I advise you to RUN, RUN AS FAST AND AS FAR AWAY from this salon as possible. Also, if you go into your local Ulta Salon and your person no longer works for the company — LEAVE!!!

I don’t know what it is about Ulta, but I have only ever been to one that had pleasant sales associates. That one wasn’t this one.
Anyway. I went there to exchange something and the manager was so rude and condescending. She asked why I was taking a product back and when I gave her my reasoning she started arguing with me basically telling me that I was wrong. Because you know… people don’t have different skin types or anything. There are other examples I could give but even going over the situation is making me irritated so we’ll leave it at that.
I pretty much expect bad customer service when I go into an Ulta but this one was just so beyond the usual that I felt the need to rate it on Unilocal

They are all so nice I have been there only twice first time I bought make-​up, loved it and just today I had gotten my hair cut and hair peroducts Lena cut and helped me pick out my hair peroducts. She was absulty wonderful and did an awesome job on my hair. I finally found a hair styles that i love thank you so much Lena. The other young lady working with her was just as fabulous and kind. I absolutely love their products and services. If you haven’t been there you need to trry them out. They also have great deals all the time and its worth it. I love love them. Thank you guys for making me feel comfortable and important…

This place is beautiful! I have been trying to find someone who can do a good perm… I found her. Tara just did my perm and it looks fabulous! She also made it seem like she really likes to do perms. Usually people give me the feeling like they really don’t want to do them which can result in not so good results. Been there but not this time! She did awesome! She was super cute and friendly as well. If it wasn’t so expensive I would go here for all my beauty needs… but I will definitely be back for a perm with Tara.

I go here for my facials and haircuts. Jenna and Alisha are fantastic. Unlike other estheticians, Jenna is so friendly, but doesn’t try to converse with you during the entire treatment if she picks up that you’d rather be quiet. She lets you know what she’s doing as she does it, makes sure you’re doing okay, etc. but doesn’t bog you down with asking you a million questions about your life and your opinions while you’re trying to relax. This is a HUGE plus. She doesn’t ignore you, either, by just plopping you in the chair and getting started, as I’ve heard some estheticians do. Also you get an arm massage during the facial… I’m starting to sigh, literally, right now, just thinking about it.
Alisha always somehow figures out what I want to do with my hair even though I have the explaining ability of a five-​year-​old. She also lets me know what condition my hair is in. I didn’t get my hair cut for what was probably several years and Alisha cleaned it up without any problem. I used to think that if your hair was long, it didn’t make any difference if you had it cut regularly; was I ever wrong. My hair looks so much better for Alisha’s skill and tips.
The only downside is the fact that during sales a lot of the best brands are excluded. I don’t mind the prices all that much; it’s high-​quality stuff, and they do carry the regular, less expensive brands as well. However if you’re a Rewards member it really pays off, especially if you get salon treatments there regularly.

I was like a kid in a candy shop when I found out that an Ulta was opening in Fenton, which is now the closest location to me.
If you go here and walk away without buying something (or being able to find what you are looking for) then honestly we need to have a talk.
Ulta is the mecca of beauty products. They sell their own brand, which you can get at a great price or get a steal of a deal when combining their coupon with their advertisements. You can also find your normal name brand cosmetics here and they almost always have a great deal on them as well.
They have you covered with anything having to do with anything with beauty. You will save money by shopping here and you will continue to come back.
There is a point system so you can accumulate points for every dollar you spend at the store. These add up quite nicely.
Be sure to browse their sale aisle, you’re sure to find that last something you might need to make your day complete!

Can I live here?
Goodness. I just dropped by after work to pick up some sulfate/​paraban free products for my extremely high maintenance skin and I ended up standing in one aisle smelling all the products I’ve never even heard of before?
Now each and every smell of the MOR product line is on my Christmas list.
Actually, just get me a gift card to that place.
That’d be a very Merrry Christmas indeed.
