Resurface Solutions/Michigan Glazing is a company where you get what you pay for, and as a result I have had a terrible and regrettable experience. When we first received a quote to reglaze a bathtub for $ 250, my wife and I were thrilled to hire TJ. It should have been a red flag when he said he didn’t want to drive to Lansing from the Swartz Creek area on a particular day because«it was cold»(this was around Februrary/March). Maybe the heat went out on his pickup truck, I do not know but it was hardly professional. Nevertheless, he came up and at first I was pleased with the job, but after the glaze dried and we had a chance to inspect the final quality, we noticed that the glaze was not evenly applied, and that we could see the original surface in some areas. Additionally, it began peeling, despite our strict adherence to the list he provided of things to avoid in order to maintain the glaze(e.g., certain cleaners, no hard objects or washing the dog in the bathtub, etc). It was a struggle to get him to come back and fix his mistake, under warranty(additionally, he will not give you a copy of the warranty because he apparently doesn’t have one typed up, or written down anywhere — I asked repeatedly). Grudgingly, he came back and supposedly fixed the problem. However, it was not long after that another part of the bathtub began peeling only this time water seeped underneath the glaze and blew it up like a balloon. I just got off the phone with him asking him to come back and fix this new mistake of his, and he is refusing to book a day until he happened to have work in Lansing. In the mean time, this bathtub is out of commission and my two toddlers cannot be bathed in it. Under no circumstances should you hire this man unless you enjoy substandard work and suffering.
