Their donuts are great. The apple fritters and the old-fashioned are my favorites.

Simply great donuts. You can go to Strange Donuts(which are good) and get a crazy, whacky donut, but when you want just a simple, DELICIOUS donut, I come here. Everything I’ve had is just wonderful from here. Staff is hit or miss– some extremely friendly and others pretty rude, but I’m willing to overlook because they are some dang good donuts! I’m a fan of yeast donuts over cake, and their yeast donuts are simply wonderful.

Best donuts around for sure. I love the glazed old fashioned, the blueberry cake, and the caramel long john. Everything is great and fresh here. I am here pretty frequently. Love it.

Oh man, this place is so good. I stopped by this morning to get donuts to take to work, and the staff was quick and friendly(especially considering how long it took me to make up my mind), and the donuts were delicious! Luckily I live close enough to walk or bike to get a donut. I’m thinking it’ll become a weekend tradition!

I just might die with a donut in my hand, as I am sure Homer Simpson will. Old Towne has some tasty glazed donuts. They also do a good cinnamon twist. My favorite is the cake donut with chocolate icing. Old Towne’s is moist and light, with just a bit of crunch on the outside. You can’t go wrong with this family-owned shop.

Probably my favorite cake donuts are found right here. Make sure to try the White Cake donut with white icing. Go at about 8:30 pm on a weekday(when they open), and get a fresh… hot cake donut. So stinking good.

Yesterday I woke up craving a donut. But, not a Krispy Kreme, or one of the other mass-produced, boring, convenience store type donuts, but a real, home style, soft, fresh, melt in your mouth donut … the kind I remember my mom getting on Sunday mornings from the local, family owned shop. Well, much to my surprise, and happiness, Olde Towne Donuts in Fenton was able to provide me with such a donut(2 of them, to be honest), and they were delicious! Upon pulling up to the store, I walked in, and looked around, waiting for my turn at the counter. The store itself is very simple, lots of racks filled with donuts waiting to be placed into the glass serving cases in the front, but that’s fine with me. I don’t need frills in my donut shoppe. What I do need is cleanliness, and Olde Towne Donuts delivered on that front. The store is bright and clean, and the service is good, too. The lady behind the counter, who I’m pretty sure was the owner, was very pleasant, greeted me with a smile, and quickly completed my transaction. The donuts I tried(so far) are their chocolate Long John, which was soft in the middle, coated with a perfect chocolate frosting, and generally very tasty, and an old-fashioned. I think the old-fashioned was my favorite. Perfectly soft and spongy on the inside, it was fried to perfection on the outside, making for a great combination of slightly crisp and soft, all at once. In addition to this, the outside was generously coated in glaze, and very pleasing to the taste buds. As Rachael Ray would say … YUM-O! I will definitely return to Olde Towne Donuts. Though the shop is on my way to work during the work week, I would be willing to make the 18 mile drive from my house to the shoppe, on a weekend morning if I was in a donut mood, because they’re just that good. Try it! If you like real, home style donuts, this place is for you!
