Their Chinese food was pretty good. Sushi wasn’t good, like it was sitting there for a while. Their selection was ok. Pretty good service. Supreme buffet on Manchester is much better(selection and taste wise) especially for the same price.

I really hate to do this but I have no choice. I liked this place at first but every time I go back it just keeps getting worse. Last night was the last time I will ever eat there. Hardly any food, and what they had looked like it had been sitting out for a while, did not see any food being refilled while we were there. They have also cut down on how many buffet tables they had and no longer have some of the foods I went there for. Total waste of money.

Never again, this place was gross. It appeared clean but the food was disgusting. My 10yo even commented on how gross the food tasted. I asked the sushi chef what was in a certain roll, His answer all the extra fish mixed together. My kids thought the vanilla ice cream cups would be a safe finish to the end of the meal. They pulled off the kid to find the vanilla ice cream looked more like yellow mango sorbet. I guess it was freezer burnt. We will not be going back.

Dinner buffet here is good, lunch is not!!! I highly recommend this place for dinner any day or time. AVOIDLUNCH! The dinner buffet is well stocked and fresh. Lunch is the complete opposite.

Went to Koi Palace today(Sunday) for seafood buffet. I was impressed. For ten bucks and some change, I thought the presentation, selection and taste of the food was pretty great. I have no complaints at all. The place is clean, the servers are friendy and the food is good. Works for me. I’ll be back.

I totally agree with everything John T. From Eureka wrote… every word. My husband and I went there on January 10th for lunch. Dirty dishes on the service bars, cold and unappetizing food and higher pricing on the weekend for lunch. We will not go back and recommend that you not waste your money. It would not surprise us to see a C or lower rating posted soon on this establishment.

Over priced. Nice new décor but same old food. Totally not worth the trip or money. I would not recommend stopping here and wasting your hard earned money.

OK, maybe it’s just me, but I have now officially given up on the whole idea of a Chinese buffet. All of the ones I’ve been to in the St. Louis area are, to varying degrees, lousy. The general rule of thumb, though, is that they start out fairly good when they’re new, then pretty quickly degrade into the lowest forms of buffet. This one, though, just opened next door to the Aldi in Fenton, so I thought I’d give it a try. Yikes. This one couldn’t even be bothered to start good. It just jumped head first into horrible. The selection is great, and the amount of food you’re able to pile your plates with is staggering. But I think too many of these places are shooting for the lowest common denominator – the fat American. Somehow the quality of the food(and its temperature) have been factored out. Here’s the thing. When the Chinese themselves are no longer good at cooking their own national cuisine(or, OK, even the American form of it), then we’re in trouble. And if the food at Koi is any indication, we’re in trouble. The food is, at turns, bland, underseasoned, mushy, tasteless, waaayyyy to sweet and gloppy, overcooked, undercooked or(and I will complain about this until I’m apparently blue in the face) hot food is lukewarm and cold food is lukewarm. Serve food at its proper temperature. That’s a pretty low bar, and this place couldn’t even get that right. How food sitting on a steam table at 5:30 can be lukewarm is beyond me, but it was. Some of it was downright cold. There was one steam table that held mashed potatoes. Now, why you’d get mashed potatoes at a Chinese buffet is beyond me, but it’s also beyond the point. Evidently the mashed potatoes arrive at the restaurant frozen. Then, they’re just dumped into a steam tray and allowed to thaw. Appalling. The Mongolian stir fry made me think twice, too. At the better versions of these, the meats are frozen then cut into thin strips and placed at the bar still frozen. At Koi, they’re raw… raw and at room temperature. It’s not appetizing to see an entire chafing dish of raw chicken breasts or raw beef. And I’m not a safety inspector, but, wow, can it be sanitary? Healthy? Dinner was $ 13 with an ice tea, $ 17 with a tip. Save your money. Not worth it. Sorry. And I think I’ll just end my quest for a worthwhile Chinese buffet in St. Louis. It apparently doesn’t – and never will – exist.

Newly remodeled. The interior is nicely decorated. Wide selection of food. Good sushi, with real Sashimi. Highly recommended!
