Brought a group for an afternoon tea(special event). We were treated to a relaxing afternoon tea and delicious light meal(scones, croissant sandwich and fruit parfait). We were seated under the gazebo in a picturesque area of the garden, listening to the tranquil waterfall and surrounded by flowers, herbs and nature. Afterwards we created a quick craft, a flower pen. DELIGHTFULAFTERNOON. Great gift shop, great grounds, great greenhouse(not feeling especially creative with the adjectives). A must see. Treat yo self and head out!

Fun to walk around with beautiful gardens, but everything is very overpriced. The classes are also very expensive.

Absolutely love this place! I grew up visiting Heavenly Scent as a child, and it is still one of my favorite places to visit as an adult. The gardens are absolutely beautiful, the shop is filled with beautiful home décor items, and their flowers are top-notch. Just a beautiful, lovely haven in Fenton.

Pretty neat place to walk around for free, but it is actually an event area, as well as a garden center. The barn has a European décor theme and inside the barn is a store. The store offers workshops on select days too. It seems like a fun place to take your friends or family. It would be a great venue for a garden wedding or tea party. It reminded me of the book, The Secret Garden. If you read that as a little girl, you will see the resemblance of a few of the tea party table areas when you visit. I did not get to go during open store hours, so I can’t tell you how cool the store was. I merely walked around and enjoyed the garden sculptures and pleasant conversation with my sister! Have fun and be merry!

I get so excited when I find new beautiful places that are FREE to get into. I went here with my mom(who lives in Fenton) and had an absolute ball testing out the settings on my new camera. I wish I could garden like this place is set-up. It’s beautiful and peaceful. I just wish I would’ve known about it sooner — it would’ve been a gorgeous setting for my wedding! The adjoining gift shop is adorable too, so be sure to stop in for a neat little piece for your home. If you’re in the area, check it out. It’s a nice little unassuming place to walk through and appreciate the beauty of nature.

Instant nostalgia! The gardens, charming house, unique gifts and winding paths that guide you through said treasures melt my troubles away. I could sit in Heavenly Scent all day and be totally content. Beware that once you visit this store, you’ll want to come back again… and again… and again.

Kerrie M’s review pretty much covers everything about this gem of a destination. We discovered them when we passed by their sign on M59, and we try to visit them at least twice a year, once in the spring or summer and once around Christmas time. There is always something new and interesting there. The gardens and the greenhouse are a must-see in the summer. I have to warn you that once you’ve seen the basket arrangements in the greenhouse you will be spoiled forever — they are absolutely beautiful. The skill and love that go into these arrangements, and indeed into every single feature at Heavenly Scent, make it the première herb and decorative plant retailer in southeast Michigan.
