I love their marinated chicken tenderloin. The fries were ok, but the corn wasn’t very good.

The food is AMAZING — reminds me of how my grandma used to cook, and she made everything from scratch. Prices are fair and the staff is friendly. Great place!

The food was not a problem it was the wait! Our little lunch stop turn into a 2 ½ hour event! We waited for a table we did for our food waited to pay! Our waitress barely said two words to us! The food wasn’t even hot! I suggest skipping this place in eating at Denny’s next-door

It’s Cracker Barrel… what else is there to say! When I am in the need for comfort food, CB is usually at the top of my list.

Walked in at 9am on Friday morning after Thanksgiving 11/27/2014. We waited for 30 min for table and after finally sitting down they brought us 2 menus for 3 of us. When I asked for another menu they said sorry we are out. We then ordered and have now been waiting for 45 min for 3 breakfast. They said sorry we are busy. Crap service! This place as poorly managed. No food going to anyone. People complaining all over the place. This place is a mess! I have never witnessed so many people so upset in my life! DONOTCOMETOTHISCRACKERBARELL!

Our first visit to a Cracker Barrel as we are traveling in the St Louis area. The gravy was a bit tasteless, but for the most part, just very average food. Biscuits were decent. Hash brown casserole was something new. Just ok. I’m used to plain hashed browns. Pecan pancake seemed a bit fried instead of just on a grill with minimal fat. Menu said thick cut bacon, but it was far from thick. One of those been there done that kind of things.

Food is consistent & always tasty, however our last two trips here were so disappointing that my husband said he won’t go back. Service has been horrible last 2 visits. So much so, that our food was nearly cold when we received it. On our last visit this past Sunday, we didn’t get waited on. I had to stop a waitress and ask who might have our table, and it was her. She took 10 to 15 minutes to bring 2 cups of coffee out. After we ordered our food, it was at least 30 minutes before coming out room temperature, telling us it sat for awhile. We had to flag her down to get our check. We noticed a table of 2 had to actually walk to the kitchen door looking for her. What a shame — I have always loved Cracker Barrel.

The apple n pecan French toast was amazing! It was sooooooo delicious! Other items were good too but we can’t stop thinking about their incredible French toast and oh, also their apple butter which we ordered along with toast for our omelette. But the best thing was the service! Wow! We’ve eaten in tons of places from mom & pop dives to really elegant restaurants with formal black tie, but never had a waitress like this! Julia was so friendly and sweet; waited on our table more often than expected and very thoughtful about all the smallest details. She is smiling always and genuinely had a sunny disposition! Perked us up instantly despite our very long drive across the country! She seemed to have the same effect on our neighbors in the restaurant. This girl is a hard worker and definitely needs a raise! I can’t remember ever being pleased with any server this much! I do hope that she has better opportunities to make avail of in the future — a person like that should go far in this world and not be just waiting tables. Good luck, Julia! Give this place a try!

Never like anything here except there breakfast. I have tried multiple times to have lunch or dinner and I never like the food. That being said however, I love the breakfast!!! Can’t go wrong with the pancakes!!!

We have given this restaurant three or four tries but can’t seem to leave happy. There are some dishes and sides that are pretty good. But the service is extremely uneven and overall food quality, including temperature and presentation, gets a C+ at best. Over promises and under delivers. This is true for this chain in general we have found.

We was on the way to the airport and stopped for lunch we got there around 10:50 am waited about 5 min to be seated. The hostess called our name and she grabbed breakfast menus I asked if we could have lunch menus she said we could but we couldn’t order anything grilled or fried. I asked what time they started serving lunch the hostess said 11:00 so I asked my wife if she wanted to stay all of a sudden I heard the hostess say in a very rude voice do you still want to be seated. I asked her to give us a moment when I turned back around my wife saw her make a face at me. Needless to say we left we have always like Cracker Barrel but we won’t be back for a while. Would not recommend this one

My tip or comment that I left when I checked in said«Walmart of restaurants». In other words it is eclectic in the positive and negative. But the people who eat here are interesting. And I think I am interesting too. :). Place is packed and service is as good as it can be expected with such crowds. I ordered the Uncle Herschel. Which gave me country ham, eggs, biscuit, and hash browns. For those who are not familiar with country ham in short it is salt cured has somewhat of a gamey taste. You will need about 6 liters of water after eating. So good tasting but so salty. Food and drink $ 10 person. Now you know why I said Walmart. :)

Took another look. We have started going back to this restaurant for our weekend breakfast. The old manager is back after being away for over a year. Service has greatly improved. Our food was served without a long wait. Servers were attentive and it was back to being an enjoyable experience. Amazing turn around.

It’s a Cracker Barrel, so what can I possibly say about this one that doesn’t apply to other ones? Maybe I’m not creative enough, that’s possible. Standard service, standard food, standard experience.

We only go to the Cracker Barrel on rare occasions, when in the area. The first time it was great, but every time since, we’ve enjoyed less and less. Today was the worst. I will say that the country fried steak was very good, but all the sides(mashed potatoes, corn, carrots) were bland and mushy. When we arrived it was very busy, as time progressed there were very few people in our area of the restaurant. Still we only saw our waiter when we ordered and when he gave the check. At the end, he saw I was looking for him and at least came over so we could get a box to take the rest of the steak home. Oh, that’s when he asked if I wanted a refill on my tea. Won’t be going back.

This was by far the worst cracker barrel I’ve been to. It seems like the service is declining all over though. Everyone’s food came out luke warm. The restroom was dirty and no one seemed to care that we had a complaint.

I was looking forward to Cracker Barrel my whole trip to St. Louie and when I finally found the time to go I was really disappointed in the food. The store was fabulous(mind you pretty expensive) but the food was mediocre at best. I got the chicken and dumplings, which frankly I might be a hard sell on because I have the best recipe from my grandma at home, but they were just really sub par. I also got the vinegar veggies and those I could barely digest. And The macaroni and cheese tasted like it was from a can. So I’m sure I will go again when I’m back on that side of the country but I think i will try breakfast items

I had the best chicken salad sandwich today at lunch. The fries were great. The slaw was LESS than a sampling but still yummy. However, the fact that I had to pass everyone else’s food and drink down the table should have made my food free since I worked for it. That being said IF I didn’t have to work for it the food was reasonably priced and the perfect amount for lunch.

My Husband and I prefer this location, even though a different one is closer. The food is always good and the servers are friendly. The wait time is usually about 10 minutes.

Slow slow service. I waited about 10 minutes before a server came and got my order. She didnt tell me any of the specials. Maybe she was super busy. I asked for extra lemons, I got 1, in my cup. The food was delicious. I didn’t want brown sugar in my sweet potato which I thought normally they ask if I want them or not. After I was done eating, I am now waiting about 15 minutes with no ticket, no acknowledgement, as im sitting here writing this review. I guess I just caught this server on her off day.

Oh man — Cracker Barrel. As far as these types of chains go, it’s damn good. Armed with some wicked hangovers, and facing another lackluster trip to First Watch or Egg & I for an egg white spinach soufflé or veggie whatever, we decided to take our toddler on his first Cracker Barrel adventure on a Sunday morning. Having spent plenty of groggy mornings/afternoons here when I was young & had an intact metabolism, it seemed like an excellent change of pace. First of all, the country store is a nightmare. And by that, I mean, it’s a toddler’s paradise — tons of stuff to look at & break. A complete wallet drain for the desperate parent. Fortunately, we only had a 15 minute wait, so that was a blessing. They have pretty good high chairs with open fronts, so it works well for bigger toddlers. Ours won’t sit still in a booster yet, so the larger high chair was appreciated. Oh, and the high chair was clean, which is a rarity almost anywhere. They also have an excellent children’s menu — we ordered pancakes & a yogurt parfait for Beth Jr. The pancakes were so good — almost like a beignet. I nearly had to spear Mr. Beth’s hand with a fork to prevent him from stealing the baby’s food. I had the Old Timer’s Breakfast(eggs, hashbrown casserole, sausage, biscuits). Mr. Beth had Grandpa’s Fried Country Breakfast, although I question how long Grandpa would survive if he actually ate this thing — chicken fried steak, mmmmm. Anyway, I just want to take a moment of silence to honor the fallen hashbrown casserole. It didn’t last more than 10 seconds on our table before it was scarfed down — seriously, timelessly, awesome. And the biscuits aren’t too shabby either — and they’re basically bottomless(unlike me, now that I ate that monster breakfast). Service was excellent & the waitress was really attentive to our squirming child, and our frantic eating pace. In summary: Cracker Barrel = classic, good stuff. It’s not showing up on the cover of Food & Wine magazine anytime soon, but it is what it is — cheap, fast, comfort chain food.

Every once in a while I get a hankering for comfort food. Cracker Barrel always delivers. It isn’t trying to be a fusion or a chopped champion eatery, just good old fashioned country food. I have never had a bad meal here. This location in Fenton happens to be on a route I frequent thus I’ve been here more often but I have frequented other Cracker Barrels as well. First of all they serve breakfast all day! Real breakfast with cornbread/biscuits. I tend to get the blueberry pancakes because they are incredible! Juicy fresh blueberries in the pancakes with just the right crisp on the edge. Then they top it off with blueberry syrup. My other favorites include their dumplings and their grilled trout. My only complaint is that it is always sooooo hard to get my kids out of the store. The service is always wonderful and the food just what I expect. Know what you’re getting into when you stop in at a Cracker Barrel and just enjoy the atmosphere.

Traveling the roads and highways of Missouri, a familiar place along the roadside that translates into comfort and that place is Cracker Barrel. I have eaten at many of them and I am an established fan. Cracker Barrel is an experience in itself, almost always there is a wait for a table which leaves you time to walk around their country store looking in amazement at the assortment of crap and assorted what knots. The food is awesome, and the portions are large which is always a good thing in my book. I have mainly eaten CB for breakfast items only, and I stand by them 100% on taste, quality, and quantity. on the few times I have eaten dinner they have been just as satisfying and fulfilling. The service is always good, with repeat visits to the tables, and endless Ice teas, sodas and coffee, and that too is a winner as far as I’m concerned. This place always satisfies me, but don’t just go by my words, do yourself a favor and see for yourself, you won’t be disappointed.
