Patti Kiersted Training

I’ve been taking lessons with Patti for over a year. She is very patient and understanding. She explains things thoroughly and answers questions thoughtfully. I have learned a ton from her. I also have my horse in training with her and she transformed him from a misbehaved meat head into a true gentleman.

Patti is a wonderful lady who know how to teach. She is respectful and knows her way with kinds and adults. I am a working student/​barn assistant for her and school 3 – 5 horses each time I go out there, She has always been understanding and always knows the right thing to say if I’m having any issues. Her training rates are a great steal for the quality lessons you get. This is a great place to ride or train you horse.

My daughter was interested in horse back riding, and a friend referred us to Patti. Patti has been a blessing, with my kid. My Little one can be emotional, and easily distracted, and Patti has shown much patience, and sincere guidance for her to learn from. We have been going to Patty for about two years now, and would not pick any another trainer, Patti is the BEST! I was afraid of horses, and with Patti’s guidance, I grew to love horses, thank you Patti.

For better or for worse, I’ve always been terribly picky when it comes to trainers. Up until Patti, in my 14 years of riding, I had worked consistently with only one instructor. Needless to say, I was more than a little reluctant to choose a new trainer when I moved to the area for college.
It’s only by chance that I found Patti, and I’m glad that I did! She’s a wonderful teacher, and a great person to do business with. Patti has not only a discerning eye, but also the wonderfully unique quality of being able to criticize constructively, and to correct your riding without making you feel incompetent. Her ability to convey her detailed outlook has helped me to make seemingly small, but ultimately major adjustments in my riding that have put me back in the ribbons as I’ve started to compete more seriously at the collegiate level. I look forward to working with her for much time to come!

I took English lessons from Patti Kiersted for 8 years, and the only reason I stopped was because I moved away for college. Riding with Patti was one of the best decisions I ever made. Patti understands the needs of each student and plans her lessons based on riding level, so you never feel uncomfortable during lessons. She encourages you to push yourself, but not to an uncomfortable level, so that you and your horse improve. One of the best things about riding at Glenview was that I rode so many different horses (since I never owned my own), so I learned a lot from all of the different types of horses. There are lesson horses for every level. Patti also takes her riders to multiple shows during the year, from schooling to A rated. She helps you figure out what classes to enter before the show so that you are competing at the right level for you and your horse. Shows are both a learning experience and a fun experience. You can even learn so much just hanging out around the barn. Patti loves sharing her knowledge of horses and equestrianism with people, and riding with her is always such a positive experience.

Patti Kiersted has been my daughter’s trainer for the past three years. Patti has been a wonderful trainer for my daughter. My daughter is now competing in competitions and catching the eyes of other trainers, and complementing Patti on her progress.
My daughter has never been asked to do or try anything that Patti did not feel she was competent to try. This is to include the horses she assigns to each rider. My daughter worked very hard to earn the right to go to the next level in jumping, competing and horses she is allowed to ride.

Patti really doesn’t know what she is doing or for that matter talking about, yes she is very good with kids, but she can’t train horses or people on horses. She told me I have no right to post this either. I can tell you I had horse in training with her and she was scared of everything particularly jumps. That same horse I have now is jumping 3 feet and is not scared of anything now!!! The list goes on and on…
