The haedupbap(sashimi with vegetables and rice) here is still good but wow the server is so dumb and slow. I was really hungry after working out so I called in my order. When my brother and I got there the two women that were working, were sitting down… I thought there might have been someone in the kitchen but when I got up to go to the bathroom I saw that there was no one in the kitchen. Then later she came to our table and asked us if we just wanted one haedupbap and I said yes. Then she went to the sushi bar to make our food… Luckily the sashimi was already cut up…

The owner has changed over the past few months. The Korean food here is very mediocre, but their hwe dup bap(mixed rice with sashimi) is pretty good and for $ 10 and a huge portion a very good deal. The rolls are pretty good too. The ribs have fallen off greatly though.

Randomly came upon this spot and was pleasantly surprised! It’s a small little joint but packs some great flavor. The group I was with really wanted a good mix of food so we got Dol-sot-bibimbap, Dalk Dori Jeon Gol(spicy braised chicken with potatoes and carrots), Dwehji Galbi(spicy pork ribs) and Hweh Deop Bap(a sort of bibimbap with fresh raw fish and greens). Dol sot bibimbap: this was really good. The vegetables looked fresh, the rice was crispy and sauce was good. They even asked how we wanted the egg cooked. My friend who order this is a vegetarian and easily was able to swap out the meet for mushrooms. Dalk Dori Jeon Gol: I was at first a little weary to get this because it takes a while for this dish to develop its flavor. Once it was brought to our table we were told to let it boil for and then eat it. After about 10 – 15 minutes of boiling it was amazing. The broth was tasty and spicy, the chicken was soft, and then there were huge chunks of potatoes to nosh on. Dwehji Galbi(spicy pork rices): This is what the restaurant is known for. The ribs were great! They weren’t too spicy or too sweet. They came out sizzling on a cast iron skillet. The portion for the price is great, too. Hweh Deop Bap: this is a huge portion. It came in a huge metal bowl, with mixed greens, rice and fresh tuna and salmon. The sauce was sweet, savory and tangy. It was refreshing and not fishy. Definitely a good surprise! The service was really good, too. Very hospitable and accommodating. I would definitely go back to this place!
