Since 1979 Dr. Gary Murphy and his staff has been serving the Federal Way and South King County areas from the exact same location! We specialize in general and emergency family dentistry. Our services include cosmetic dentistry, emergency dentistry, dental exams, fillings, root canals and mouth guards. We are committed to providing excellent service from children to adults of all ages.

Many of Dr. Murphy’s patients have been with him since the beginning in 1979! His patients span generations of families that choose to keep their loved ones and future generations in his care. Each patient receives a thorough dental examination, comprehensive dental diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Gary Murphy is committed to informing each patient of their dental health and letting them know their options so that they may be actively involved in their dental health and care.

Dr. Murphy was born in Great Bend, Kansas May 8, 1944. He lived on a farm until he was eight years old and helped his father on the farm until he graduated from Larned High School in 1962. He attended one semester at Pittsburg, Kansas State Teacher’s College the fall of 1962,

then transferred to the University of Kansas at Lawrence, Kansas in January 1963. He graduated there with a B.A. in Psychology June of 1966.

Dr. Murphy was accepted to The University Of Kansas City, Missouri Dental School in the fall of 1966 and received his DDS in June of 1970. He signed up in the U.S. A. Army for two years and was assigned to Madigan Military Hospital which serves Fort Lewis Army Base near Tacoma, WA and McCord Air Force Base. He separated from active duty in January of 1973.

Dr. Murphy associated with another dentist for 7 years until he opened up his own family dental practice in 1979. He has practiced in the same location ever since then!
