Choice Cleaning & Restoration

I have used them twice and very happy both times. Once for carpet and once for upholstery cleaning. Professional and friendly, highly recommend them.

I purchased a carpet cleaning coupon through Amazon. It stated:
*$ 49 ($ 199 value) for carpet cleaning for three rooms
*Powerful cleaning methods remove dirt and allergens
*Also offering upholstery cleaning, water extraction, and power washing
We called for an appointment and we agreed to pay an additional fee for the stairs. No problem. Spent the evening moving everything out of the rooms with exception of the sofa which could be moved for cleaning.
Upon arrival, Charley stated that this required a deep clean and the fee would be an additional $ 200. So now we are up to almost $ 300 as the coupon was $ 49, the «deep cleaning» was $ 200 and then the agreed upon fee for the stairs.
I challenged the additional $ 200 as the carpets had been cleaned only 9 months earlier. If there was an issue, I thought that he could have started cleaning and to the extent his powerful cleaning method did not work, then I could agree to pay for «deep cleaning». I also asked how much this would normally be and started to become agitated. All I wanted to do was get the deal I bargained for and move on. I offered $ 170 but he said no. Then I said «I don’t like this bait and switch, I wonder what Amazon Local would think about this situation?» Oh boy, he did not want to hear about that — he said «screw you, clean your own carpets» Then said, if you are going to talk to Amazon then «F_​_​_​you» I am out of here.
And away he went. Dirty carpets, empty rooms and guests arriving Wednesday.
So, I got on line, have another company coming over tomorrow (Tuesday) who will do the entire house and stairs for $ 189.00 — Let’s hope this one goes better.
The only thing that I can assume here is that Charley priced himself too low on the Amazon coupon. I totally understand how that could happen it seems he has recently moved here from Ohio, and wanted to get some business started. Good for him, I applaud that and believe that coupons such as Amazon local and Groupon provide an opportunity to be introduced to new customers. If the customers like what they see, and the product or service goes well, then there is repeat business and more importantly there is word of mouth. A recommendation from a friend, family or co-​worker goes along way and often times the best method of gaining new business.
Unfortunately, that will not be the case with Charley and his cleaning machine. Pressure manifests itself in so many ways yet the age old adage still applies, «The customer is always right»
Sorry Charley — only the good guys get to make the money
Good news is that Amazon has processed a full refund and has logged the complaint.

Bought 2 groupons and he did a less then good job on the 2^nd home and when asked about the poor quality of work. He gave some lame excuse as to the 2^nd one shouldn’t have been able to have been purchased and therefore it didn’t come with the same quality!

Charlie came over and applied chemicals to some stains, but then said he had to come back later to do the cleaning because his machine was broken. We’d reworked our entire schedule to accommodate him, even got somebody to watch our dogs during the time he’d be back.
After he came back that night to clean, he said he’d be done in a couple of hours. We left to get dinner and he called an hour later saying his machine was still broken and he’d have to come back again the next day (meaning we’d have to miss more work, find another sitter for the dogs, etc.).
Since we have company coming into town and had no time to find another cleaner, we didn’t cancel. My partner let him in and gave him payment, but couldn’t stay to supervise him since he’d already missed work.
When we got home we saw that Charlie had completely skipped cleaning one of the rooms and one of the two area rugs we’d paid for.
He gave us a few small discount along the way, but they in no way made up for the horrible service, incomplete job, or disruption to our schedule.
Sadly we wont be calling them back.
UPDATE: After seeing our review, Charley did contact us to see if he could come finish the job and correct the mistakes that were made. Unfortunately, our schedule can’t accommodate another visit right now, but we do appreciate his effort to make it right.

I contacted Choice Cleaning thru a local deal. Charley responded very quickly. He answered my questions, and booked the appointment all thru email. He showed up on time, and did a fantastic job cleaning my carpets. He is very friendly and I definitely recommend him.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with a business that I’ve never used before but Charlie did a great job of getting my carpets cleaned. I moved out of an apt. and needed the carpets to be thoroughly cleaned and he did exactly that. I would recommend and use his services again.

I called to ask if this company serviced my area. He told me they did and we scheduled an appointment. I got an appointment reminder on the day before the service was to be done. The morning of the appointment, I received a cancellation notice. I had already set up my home to be cleaned. I called and spoke with Charley and he said they had sent me an email regarding their inability to service my area with a coupon deal. The email went straight into my junk and so I didn’t see it. Since I didn’t respond by email (and no one knows how to use a phone anymore), they cancelled the appointment because of course, they want to get business from someone else. I get that. However, they lost me as a customer because of that choice. And they also get this lovely review in return.

Great service! Super convenient scheduling online. I received a couple email reminders of appointment and Charlie called when he was on his way. He was incredibly professional and friendly. He was helpful with suggestions and was a quick worker.
I live in a condo and the carpets are low quality. I had a hallway that needed a lot of care. Charlie was able to make the hallway look great again.
I will certainly be using his company again. He even left me with a couple cards to pass on to my neighbors. I hope they give him a call.

The guy came in with what looked like a toilet brush cleaner and spray bottle. He asked if he could use our hot water, sprayed some onto a stain, and immediately scrubbed it. He said he couldn’t remove it and just left without any explanation or anything. We paid for an Amazon Local deal that included carpet cleaning with hot water extraction, so we had to contact Amazon for a refund. We had another carpet cleaner come and remove the few stains that we had (except 2 that were there prior to us moving in that the landlord said the carpet cleaners they used couldn’t remove it) and made our carpet look good.
*WOW, just now read the company’s response. Yes, it’s completely fabricated. It was under my husband’s name and not everybody writes a review immediately after, even if the service sucks.

I called and heard back from Charley within 24 hours. New company but he knows his stuff. I scheduled time and he called me when another appointment was running late. I appreciate the heads up.
He came in, assessed the situation, asked questions, and found out what else might be needed. Offered a few ideas and we took him up on 2 of them.
Charley was friendly, relational, and offered solutions to issues we have despite not taking him up on everything.
Nice guy to give a shot to if you need cleaning done.

Cleaner came in and I showed him the areas. He said ok and went to get his stuff. When he came back in he was holding a medium size spray bottle and a what looked like a toilet bowl cleaner brush. He sprayed the carpet with hot water and scrubbed for a few seconds. He then gets up and tells me he can’t clean it and proceeds to leave. I bought the deal on amazon local, was suppose to be carpet cleaning and hot water extractor, a hot water spray and toilet bowl brush isn’t either.
