Bath Brush and Beyond

I have a maltese who was in need of a groom but I did not want to go back to my last groomer because her results were always unpredictable despite giving the same instructions to her each time. A friend of mine referred this place to me and suggested I call immediately because they can get booked a few days in advance. I called on a Thursday and got an appt for Tuesday. When I walked in the lady was very nice and understood what I wanted, even double checking which was nice because what I wanted is a bit against the norm. I really liked that this place require proof of vaccinations because a lot of places don’t, the staff was also knowledgable about the recent canine flu outbreak which I hadn’t heard about which was helpful. My dog came home looking amazing. The one little thing they forgot was the shaved feet I had asked for but it’s ok, I will probably remind them again the next time. I was impressed with how smooth his coat was, because his hair is straight and fine so it takes patience and more than a few passes of the clippers to get it that smooth and even. She was spot on with how I wanted his face and I couldn’t be more pleased. I also found that the rates here are slightly lower than others in the area but the quality is top notch. The staff also mentioned my dog had a great time interacting with the dogs while waiting his turn. I would definitely recommend this groomer for anyone willing to drive up, I’m in Lakewood.

I have a Bichon Shitzu and have always done his grooming myself. I decided to take him to the groomers once to compare. I called around and based on reviews and price chose this place. I really liked the staff and the job they did. There weren’t hidden costs or add ins. They were very thorough and he looks great. They were honest with me about how difficult he was when his nails were clipped. He liked playing with the other dogs and seemed happy. They gave him a treat bag when I left. I will probably keep cutting his hair myself just because I like doing it but I am definitely taking him here every few weeks to get his nails clipped. Way better than any other place I’ve stopped both in price and service. Also this will be my go to if I am too busy to do the cut myself. I will recommend this place to others.

I have three Shih Tzus and I tried these lovely folks for the first time last week and I am sold. Dawn did the girls and she is AMAZING. She does exactly what you ask and her attention to detail is wonderful. The store is immaculate and everyone is exceptionally nice and professional. It is well worth the drive from Tacoma.

I have been taken my dogs to Bath Brush and Beyond since 2009. Helena & Dawn plus their team of dog groomers have always been wonderful with my dogs. I enjoy going to their shop and seeing all the dogs running around playing and the transformation of some of the dogs after they have had their makeover.

My dogs & I absolutely love it here! The staff is incredibly friendly and professional in addition to their grooming skills being extraordinary. This has been my 3 year old Pomeranian/​Shih Tzu’s salon his whole life. My 9 year old Maltese switched from his former salon to BB&B about 3 years ago. The difference in quality and professionalism is incomparable. My Maltese use to shake and even run away from the salon door at his previous salon, but both my dogs happily enter BB&B. I love how the dogs are able to socialize and play after they are finished with grooming vs. being locked in a small cage until they get picked up. Their knowledge in style shows in how well they are able to make your dog look that much better.
Only downside: they ARE quite popular so make sure to call at least a week in advance to your preferred date.

BB & B is not just groomer~ They do care about your pet. I bring both my dogs Joey & Cookie to them all the time & every time I visit they are so friendly, care about your pet. My dogs look amazing every time they visit BB & B. One thing that I really like they let my dogs socialize with other dogs and do not put them in to cage~ One issue, because they are popular its little hard to make an appointment same week, so you might want to call them ahead of time to schedule am appointment for your pets :)

We are delighted with our experience with this Grooming Salon. we took Lucy there Agee weeks ago and were so pleased with the result .
She is a black Cockerpoo and nearly 6 years old, and has only ever been to one groomer who moved to Hawi so we were vey apprehensive but now we have found Bath Brush and Beyond we are over the moon. I’ve taken my dog here a few times now and they are great! They do really well with dogs! I recommend this place!

I have been a loyal customer of BB&B since it opened, and we won’t take our pets anywhere else for grooming. Indeed, we followed the owner (Helena) because she was so sweet to our older bichon (Teddie) who was extremely timid and because she did such a fantastic job of grooming him. We have since added a Puppy (Murphy) to our family and he is groomed at BB&B too. Both of our boys are groomed every 2 weeks, and we couldn’t be happier! Helena and her staff are so loving/​nurturing to all of the pets that visit her shop. She’s so wonderful that my dogs whine to get inside when I pull up to the shop and don’t want to leave at the end of the day! More importantly, she does an outstanding job grooming our boys and getting their cuts just right. They always come home looking and smelling amazing and totally exhausted from their day of fun at BB&B! We can’t say enough positive things about BB&B, but I guess the fact that I’m there every 2 weeks with my pets says it all! I love this place!

They are absolutely great! We take our Big English Bulldog Otis to them.
They always seem to be able to squeeze us into their busy schedule! Saturdays work best for us because we work all week.
Otis is typically the bigger dog there. lol
We give him baths at home around once a week. But they do a better job! We need to find out what they use on for shampoo or conditioner because his coat is so soft and smells so good after we leave there! Thank goodness for Unilocal helping me find this place. As a new dog owner I had no idea where to turn.
They do a great job! Typically includes bath and grooming for my dog — which includes ear cleaning, nail clipping, brushing.
When we first got Otis he had major hotspots, itched like mad and was super smelly.
We changed his diet and incorporated oatmeal dog bath shampoos less often and we have completely turned him around. Bath Brush and Beyond even mentioned that what ever we did they can notice a huge difference in his skin and coat with Otis. They remember their animal clients! They are awesome about call with a reminder the day before. And of course to pick up. Typically when they say it will be an hour it’s less ;) way less.
In the end for the pretty prissy dogs they typically get adorned with bows, etc.
Not our Otis… he’s far to manly for that! ha!
Anyway two paws up for this place!

Fantastic!!! I recently moved to this area from up north a bit and needed to find a new pet salon. I found this place online and called for an appointment. They scheduled me the day and time that I requested and they got the job done quick and the price was good.
They did a fantastic job on my little Pig Pen (Persian) that loves to play in water!

The folks at Bath Brush and Beyond really do take great care in their work and their clients. We were running late picking up our little guy one day, and as we walked in a few minutes after closing, we found all of the groomers on staff that day hanging out with, and completely doting on him! And of course, he was absolutely loving it! It was the greatest thing we could witness and hope for in our groomers. Much like the level of concern one has for the type of treatment their child or elderly parent is receiving when not in their care, we have the same for our little guy … he is our «baby» after all. After seeing how much lovin’s he was getting only confirmed for us how fantastic the folks are here. Also, being that we were totally at fault for being late, they didn’t make us feel at fault at all.
In sum, this place is fantastic! We are very pleased with their work and love that they treat our little guy like royalty. That and he comes out looking and smelling like a million bucks every time. That type of treatment for the price (as I’m told — since this is our first groomer experience), is unbeatable!
For as long as their level of service remains the same, we will be devoted clients for sure!

They are great! We have gone to Dawn for years and she is wonderful. They know our dogs by name and treat them wonderfully. They do a great job and are very timely. My dogs love going and I always know I will get what I pay for. Its a cute little place and very conveniently located. I highly recommend Bath Brush and Beyond!

If you want to get your pet in on a Saturday, you have to make an appointment beforehand. The staff is super friendly and I know I can trust them with my dog. The price is super affordable! It was like $ 24 for a bath and grooming for my dog — this included ear cleaning, nail clipping, brushing, anal gland, etc. However, looking in my dog’s ears, it doesn’t look like they were cleaned… but I could be wrong. Next time, I will for sure ask and confirm that his ears were cleaned.

We LOVE this place, I can’t say enough for the job that they do and how well they take care of our girls. We have to Shianese that have very fine, long hair and they come out of the salon looking so clean and groomed. For all the work that they do and how well they treat our girls the price is so reasonable. I always recommend them to our friends or anyone looking for a doggie salon.

Just happened to drive by this place and stopped in and was able to get an appt for my Bernese/​Lab mix right away. We had just moved from Montréal so Lili was still a bit nervous about all new places we had been visiting. They treated her so well there and when I came to pick her up I caught the girl giving her lots of kisses :). They did an amazing job on her and Lili was super happy leaving the place. I will definitely go back there and was so very lucky to have found it. The prices were pretty decent too compared to the ones in Seattle where I live. 5 stars!

I have a mutt, who is probably part terrier. I like him to look scruffy, not excessively «cute.» He has a natural beach bum look that I don’t want to lose.
On the other hand, he gets mats and the hair on his head had gotten sooooo long because I didn’t trust a groomer to find that sweet spot between looking like a derelict and a sixteen year old beauty queen.
Helena and crew listened very closely to what I wanted and the result was… just exactly what I wanted. And… just exactly what my husband wanted. Harry (the dog) seems happy enough with it too.
Thank you Helena and we WILL be back! You succeeded where 2 much higher priced and enthusiastically Unilocaled groomers in Seattle failed. It’s worth the detour on my way to work from Alki beach to Tacoma.

I have had our older dog, Kodi, clipped and groomed twice there and each time they were gentle and careful with him. He went in with a long scruffy and shaggy coat and was totally clean, neatly clipped, calm and happy when I returned to pick him up.
When I take him to be cared for, I want someone who knows what they’re doing and keeps him happy. Bath Brush and Beyond has done perfectly.
