Art Never Dies

5 for artwork quality, 0 for customer service from Mike Torres.
I love his work but he likes to reschedule and communicating with him other than contacting the shop, ie. if you know him personally, it becomes a bit more difficult. He’s done two complete tattoos on me and one partially completed. The partial was the most recent piece he did, its missing a background and some details on the main image — decided not to get it done based on a recent conversation addressing my concerns with him without my receiving an apology and instead, a comment of «whoa Eric, calm down»: I addressed the issue of getting long delays (reschedules and lack of response) before being able to finish the piece. I also paid in full for the whole tattoo to be done, and I get frustrated with bad customer service; I decided I would find someone else to complete it, I even tipped. It almost feels like I paid, then I got delays because he wanted to take on other clients who will need to pay. This could be totally wrong, but that’s where the customer’s mind will wander. I also trained him at the gym for a bit before getting my first tattoo from him so it made me think if he categorized me under «friend» not necessarily «customer.»
Hoping this review is helpful, I am hoping that it will help Mike realize that he needs to be on-​time, own his mistakes, and be more professional. His art is outstanding. He is a great person. His portfolio is full of amazing work and I love his specialty in portraits. Go to him, give him a chance. He just crossed this line with me and I won’t be going back.
Regarding work from Jose, he is amazing as well and I haven’t had a bad experience from him. Got one tat from him — 5 stars.

Art Never Dies is a very nice place to get a tattoo. The shop is clean. The staff is friendly, funny and do great work.

I got a tattoo from Art Never Dies back when they were still called all hope aside from Jose, which is still there, I believe he’s the sole owner off the business now. I went in with a mediocre idea of getting the Seattle skyline tattooed on my forearm. Jose took my mediocre idea and turned it into a masterpiece. I get stopped on the street all the time because people want a closer look, and on more then one occasion I’ve been asked to pose for pictures so people can show their friends. It’s not just the best tattoo that I have but it’s the best skyline tattoo I have ever seen. His attention to detail was nothing short of amazing. I plan to get a lot more tattoos in the future. I’m uncertain of what the tattoo will be, but I am 100% certain where I will go to get it done. Keep up the good work guys.
Also I noticed this place got $$$$ on the price which I don’t agree with. I was given a great tattoo for a very reasonable price. I’d say $$
