Perfect spot for karoeke, good priced beer and hanging out. Super friendly owner and bar tender — relaxed environment. Gotta check it out!

Basic adult bar. Good place to blow off some steam. Not bad for pricing. Did not have any issues here. I like it because it is quite. You can hear someone talk. Not a lot of people yelling or crowding you. You can sit down and relax. It is a very good starting point for an evening. Kind of reminds me of the Officers Club on Bragg in the 1970’s. No pick up barflys or women suckling you dry for a house drink. Just drinks. Can not beat that in my book.

Oh my god where do I begin. From the outside, the Shady Lady looks like either a cheap strip club or maybe an adult novelty store that’s seen better days. That’s probably because it’s a former adult novelty store. But I’ll go to bat and say its best days are ahead of it. I’ve tried to get more about the history but details are hard to come by mostly in that the only person who really knows the whole story is the owner, Mrs Kim. Apparently she bought the place decades ago and never changed the name, but instead put in some flooring and furniture and called it good. The walls are covered with wild parties from days gone by but nowadays it sits alone a bit down the street from Cadillac Ranch. In spite of the fact that she’s most certainly been here for decades, I cant’ really totally understand Mrs. Kim’s english and while she seems pleasant enough, she also seems to care more about playing the Keno machine than going on about her personal life. But the point is this, this place is hilarious. It’s everything you want in a dive bar — out of the way, a healthy jukebox, corny décor… it jus needs more patrons. Go, bring the Shady Lady back to life. It has the makings of a Fayetteville institution.
